Hello Everyone, I’m a trifle chilly here , my lovely cleaning lady started back today , great ? I really missed her chat and of course the sparkling house ? , but she is not vaccinated! Will not be vaccinated! Thinks it’s all sad but inevitable ! So I have all the doors and windows open now
Then DDand I had a mini head to head about pruning Forsythia , grabbed the loppers and reduced one to stumps ! She has lightly pruned one and left one alone so we can see the result next year ?

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. My what a lot of goings on, how on earth do you all remember who did what and when?
DH said I had a restless night last night, I don't remember, but
hope I didn't disturb him too much. He has always been a much lighter sleeper than me. He went to Church, on his own again, this morning, and I listened to the on line service. I would love to go back, but not sure if I could sit still for the length of the service, and the doors will be open, so chilly!

Harrigran, what appalling 'service' from your surgery, but glad to hear that your sister helped to sort it out.

On the other hand, I saw my oncologist on Friday morning, and mentioned how I would get my next lot of tablets.
Well, last night I had a text to say my prescription was ready to collect at the chemist, so DH collected it on the way home this morning. That was service, as usually when I do my on line order, for the regular prescriptions, it can take up to a week!

Weeding lady is coming tomorrow, after being snowed off last time. Blood tests for me, if there is any more to find, and I begin my second chemo cycle on Tuesday.

Although it is so sunny here, there is a very chill wind, so am staying inside, except for a short walk later on.

Mamaa what a beautiful cake! My brother and DSiL are celebrating their 40th today, and their celebration is apparently a home delivery from Nandos . However he has bought her ruby and diamond ring, so I will forgive him.

hope all you problems are little ones today. Sadly no news yet on the arrival of latest grandchild, now 7 days overdue. DDiL is having a membrane sweep tomorrow, fingers crossed that does something, or it will be a Caesar on Saturday.

Morning all. We had a quiet Ruby anniversary bbq yesterday in the garden with son and family as the only guests due to current restrictions.
Not what was planned but lovely all the same.

Good morning, another beautiful day, yesterday was so warm I had to sit in the shade,. I had to have a covid test yesterday as I'm having a camera in my bladder on Tuesday it was not pleasant but got negative result this morning

Planted up my giant trailing begonias yesterday they are like triffids I've had to buy a tall pot for them as last year they outgrew the containers they were in,will leave them in the conservatory till no more frost

I had a super long lie in. Combination of hardly any bending yesterday (so hardly any sciatic pain when lying down) but above all I had a text from dear son last evening.?Thank you to those who've kept my spirits up with your comforting words here and in PMs. He says he will ring today but he's not feeling stressed and has an interview on Tuesday and knows the MD from a while back. My fingers are crossed for that Jax??

Susan and Grandmabatty I am a long skirt/dress fan and it goes back to the 70s. Loved making them for my daughter then too. With being tall, I made them all. Even now, I have three maxi skirts in my wardrobe that are my staple summer wear.
Grandmajet. I keep seeing Anna Maxwell Martin popping up in other things. Excellent actress. I don't want LoD to finish. Only two left☹️.

Good Morning to you all from an overcast Cambs., (It was sunny when I started reading your posts!!) We've had a chilly east wind for a few days now. But NO rain, after being very wet in late December, our garden is now parched.

We had a good 3 days at our little home-from-home in NW Norfolk, weather was lovely & we got a few chores done ready for the summer season.
It was good to see the first of the oilseed rape in the fields on the way home. (*Alygran*)?

Brook hope you enjoy seeing your family in our wonderful County City. (we are an hours drive away, with fair wind & traffic)!!

Good morning everyone from a cloudy grey Portugal. Not raining at the moment but from the forecast it seems as if we’ll have plenty to spare for the next few days.

I’m trying to find the enthusiasm to wash my hair today but am finding that the antihistamines are sapping my energy. If the scan induced rash is still there tomorrow I’ll have to phone the surgery.

Glamma your lovely photograph reminded me of one I had of my grandchildren at the same age. DGD really worshipped DGS when he was born two years after her and must have loved him like that for all of two years It was probably longer but for the first couple of years he could do no wrong in her eyes at all.

Good morning from West York's,we had a lovely afternoon with son and family plus year old dog, think our neighbours had their peace and quiet disturbed( it is usually very quiet here )three children do make a lot of noise ?.it was a bit upsetting when talking to youngest saying he really missed cousins etc due to corona ? We have been invited to Dd for outside meal today don't know what we are having I am making a red fruit crumble to take Gg will enjoy that .Hope everyone finds a?.Take care .

I’m confined to barracks this weekend having the decorators here - they’re doing half the house. All upstairs rooms, plus the hall, stairs and landing - so I had to sleep in the sofa last night!!
Thankfully Gardener 3 did turn up (others let me down) on Friday, and is able to do fortnightly visits - he says he’s been swamped by requests and can’t take on any more work. I know a politician made a crass statement about Covid - but a lot of businesses have found extra work during lockdown.

Good morning all. Looks like another bright day here in N. Bucks, although chilly in the shade.
We didn’t do our walk yesterday as DH was a bit out of sorts after his second one jab on Friday. Seems fine today.
Just had a message from DD3 to ask if they can pop over for a couple of hours this afternoon. This is their last weekend before the new baby on Friday.
Later on we are off to DD1 for a take-away in their garden.
Maw hope Maisie settled in last night.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country

It was almost like a June day yesterday, so warm and sunny. Took Mum over to DD, and we had a walk around the fields in her village. The dog enjoyed himself!

We have plans today! Painting the kitchen walls . We have someone coming tomorrow to fit blinds in the kitchen and dining room, so thought we had better get on with painting the kitchen.

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Another day of blue skies and sunshine on the Angus coast, but like everywhere else that cold air off the sea is not so pleasant.
Mick it's a shame about your cafes, but I'm sure things will gradually settle down into a "new normal". Glad you're feeling a bit more like it today Grandmattie. I was wondering how your DS was and glad he's relatively safe and contained in the mountains. I hope your migraine didn't linger, Ash - unlike the eggshell in your bra ?. Lovely to hear the baby ballet stories. Strangely my DGD who is shortly going off to dance college didn't take to that at all but instead was a very accomplished gymnast from an early age - until she discovered modern dance. Mind you I don't think DD introduced her to dance as she herself had preferred gymnastics!
Like everyone else on here, I am horrified by the problems you are having Harrigran and glad something has been sorted out now.
I am off shortly to drive to Perth to meet up with DD for an hour or so. I think I may go the cross country route for a change of scenery, and then come back along the river - it will be a beautiful drive anyway. And a lovely little 'escape'.
Lots of meetings-up happening now with so many of you, so enjoy your day too. Thoughts for those who can't get out and about ?, but have a good day all. ☀️????

Good morning all from a cloudy Northampton. Just sitting with a cat who has taken up residence on my lap, and a mug of tea. Wondering what to do today........

Sat outside in the sun yesterday morning with coffee and the crossword, then pottered in the garden in the afternoon and ended up in the summerhouse following the rugby on the radio. A nail-biting final few minutes, but we held on for a win against our arch-rivals Leicester Tigers.

Will probably end up in the summerhouse again this afternoon, anything to avoid sitting in the house. It's nice to just sit and watch the birds. Will take the papers out and a new book.

Good Morning, Mick and All, we're having yet another sunny day here in Carlisle. We get our driest weather in April, May and early June, usually. After that it's often all downhill in the rain department. Best to take your Lake District holidays earlier for the best chance of decent weather.
I'm awaiting the arrival of some flatpack storage stuff today and this week. I shall have to put it together which I can normally do if it's relatively small stuff. It's just cheapish stuff to last me in the house until mid-August. That's how long I'm having to wait for the delivery of 'proper' furniture...wardrobes, chests etc. I don't want to live with my suitcases and tasteful arrangements of cardboard boxes till then!
harrigran , your surgery's attitude was appalling. I don't know how they could refuse your DH essential drugs. Stress like that you do not need on top of what you get now. Hopefully that problem is now resolved .
Ashcombe, I sympathise as one who has suffered vicious migraines all her adult life until recent years. Never could reliably plan an outing. At least it didn't happen today so you can now enjoy your church service .
Hopefully, we can all enjoy today, flamingoes everywhere!
