Good Morning Monday

Good morning from a cloudy Northampton, but the sun is trying its best.

Was a bitter cold wind yesterday, so I spent the afternoon in the summerhouse, with the weekend papers and the radio. Then spent the evening watching 'Midwife' and some recorded programmes while knitting. This wrap/sweater thingy I am making had better be worth it, as a few words were said under my breath!

May get the duster out and have a flick round and then hoover downstairs. Or I may not. I phoned a man about some tree-pruning last week, but had to leave an answerphone message, and he has not called back so will try again today.

Apart from that, nothing planned, except to water the garden. Take care everyone.

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where yet another pleasant day is in store.
DH who is currently out running is going to sort out what he needs to build the arbour in our garden when he gets back. I’ve only waited 3 years for him to get motivated! In fairness he was quite ill a couple of years ago.
When we visit my SiL Urmston I’ll pop across to the station and have a look at those trees by the station and let you know. Without looking properly my guess would be one of the cherries or maybe blackthorn. I’ll turn and give you a wave!
Talking of plants my patch in the churchyard needs a bit of attention. Unfortunately half of it cannot be gardened as it is cordoned off as the tower has had some falling masonry and is awaiting repair.

It's another cloudless day here I am meeting friend in park this morning it's good to catch up .We have had a busy weekend with our families so it will seem quiet now .safe journeys to all travelling today .

Good morning Mick and all from a bright northwest Lancashire coast. Felt a bit strange yesterday after my jab the day before, but nothing too bad and read in the secluded front garden.
Discovered there by a friend who is used to seeing me dressed up to face the world and we had a chat. Didn’t offer them a cup of tea as had that strange sleepy feeling on me. Fell asleep later in front of the box and was in bed before midnight, very unlike me.
So pleased I have sold one of my drawings, just put it on face the book and a friend wants it.
Off to Asda to change a couple of garments and might paint something else. I’m into abstracts at the moment.

Morning all from a frosty start in West Yorks but bright blue skies show promising day.
Following a lovely, but very exhausting weekend entertaining both sets of Gcs and AC, intended having a long lie in but DH who has sleeping issues/night tremors woke at 5a.m keeping me awake, try as I might could not get back sleep and eventually got up at 6.30.
Have a list of jobs that need doing but fear I am lacking motivation today.
Sorry to hear of your vertigo Greyduster my small circle friends a few have experienced attacks recently and I know it really knocks them back for days so do take care and rest.
Special thoughts to all with worries and health issues.

Good morning all from another sunny day in Lancashire. We have people coming to clean the gutters this morning. I shall let Mr. B deal with that as these are man things. Also I had my second Covid jab yesterday, quick and painless but I am feeling a bit fragile this morning. Nowhere near as bad as the first time and just glad to get it done.

Up with the lark on another lovely bright morning, but it's been quite nippy with it. I've resisted having the heating on for a few days as it's been bearable indoors and I don't want to be any more nesh than I am already.

Enjoyed my chicken dinner yesterday, it was like a Christmas one as I did all the accompaniments with it, bread sauce etc.
Xmas pud and white sauce to follow I know how to live it up. I'm at my happiest when there's plenty of grub.

Must get the hoover on the go today and horror of horrors my toaster is giving up the ghost so that'll have to be a priority for this week, tomorrow perhaps because I can't possibly function without it for the crumpets. The grill will harden them. I'll get one with a crumpet feature on it .

Possible rain forecast for tomorrow so it'll come as a relief for many especially the farming communities who would struggle if none came forthwith. Fancy Bogdon getting a spring in his step Sheepandcattle, there's life in the old dog yet, as the song goes. Back to grass for him, aww. Delayed action.

I can't believe that we're galloping towards half a year, this week being the end of another month. Time is going so quickly.

Hope everyone's doing alright with life becoming more pleasant of late even though uncertainties lie ahead but let's not think about that for the time being.

Good Morning everyone from a sun/cloudy/bit confused S of France ??

Successful trip yesterday where my DH reports ‘they’ couldn’t have been nicer whilst he had his 1st jab! Predictably the lunatic with the appalling voice who operates our Satnav directed us to the back gates of a football stadium. This then involved quite a long walk to find any sign (or sign of life) and the correct building, but the dogs loved it! Others eventually followed us - possibly with the same make of Satnav?) but DH was in and out very quickly. Slightly stiff arm today......we shall see ??.

On the subject of vaccinations, what an exceptional soul you must be, aggie. I’d not allow any deliberately un-vaccinated cleaning lady to think she could work in my house - I’d be getting someone who thought more about my welfare, I think. But maybe you’re less of a scaredy cat than me! ?

Not much going on here today. DH is off walking with the ramblers - I’m a bit envious as two years ago I would be too! - so I’m home alone and intend to give the kitchen a much needed clean. DD2 may pop into our garden for a chat if work allows, otherwise a phone call from her.

Enjoyed the visit by DD1 and family and the later one with DD1 and family. Quite chilly in the evening but bundled up in coats and blankets.
DH is off to golf and I have a parcel to take to the PO. so will probably take myself on a short walk down by the church and meadows.

Overcast here in S E Essex, I am off to the gym this morning and I will also pop into hairdressers to pick up a Disney Princess Hairbrush to put into GD birthday bag.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday in middle sons garden, it was the first time we have seen him DiL and twin GSs in the flesh since before Christmas. They have turned DiL’s office/photographic studio into a bar/games room, they said it feels like going out when they walk to the end of the garden in the evening!!!

I need to go to John Lewis Urms but I haven’t plucked up the courage yet, I need to find my big girl pants

Lovely day with an old school friend yesterday then CtM and LoD. Next Sunday’s episode such be exciting! Match of the Day wasn’t such a treat, seeing Wolves lose 4-0!
I think today should be housework rather than gardening as it’s getting a bit dusty in the corners. Then I shall make a start on DGD’s dress.
I’m going to buck the trend and say navy Kitty - with our DGC pink would always look dirty!

Good morning Mick and all from chilly Lueneburg - 0° this morning. Maybe the sun will come out. Like many of you, we really need the rain. I knocked my coffee pot with the full filter still on top all over my kitchen unit, floor and clothes earlier. I think that means it is going to be an eventful week. Today I am sorting out my paperwork. I have to fill in 34 pages of a questionnaire. My granddaughter here wants to apply for the british nationality. I have been putting it off for a long time. So I have to get all the relevant data. Furthermore I have to bake a banana loaf as the bananas are past there best.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is out today but I am really wishing for rain for all our local farmers too and for the gardeners. We are having a quiet day today as I had a horrible attack of vertigo yesterday afternoon after we came back from watching GS play football, and felt rather poorly. I’m hoping it doesn’t come back; it was scary. DH gets his hair cut this morning, but apart from that there will be nothing exciting going on! Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s cooler than it’s been for a while.

Yesterday’s picnic in the park was smashing, the lockdown baby turned one year old and was just delightful, the almost four year old has mastered her pedal bike and was having a marvellous time. They didn’t fit stabilisers, she used a balance bike for ages then went straight to the pedal bike. My heart was in my mouth as I watched her flying along but she had all the safety pads and helmet as her Mum reminded me. I wasn’t so nervous about falls when my own were children which was just as well as DS was forever coming a cropper.

Today I will be garden tidying and crocheting whilst listening to my audio book. I’ve just finished Hamnet and begun Hunter Biden’s autobiography.

I wrote a list over the weekend, so will be walking to several shops for non essential purchases. A couple of years ago this wouldn't have been worth mentioning but today it's quite exciting.

DS and DIL had their vaccinations yesterday, they are in their 40s so the vaccination programme is working well here.
DD Skyped and we had a long chat during the afternoon.
DS and DIL skyped during the evening and I got to see GDs, my goodness they have grown.
