Hi Everyone, late again , I’ve been grocery shopping with eldest daughter, and off to the garden centre this afternoon .
I’m getting to be a gadabout !
About my cleaning lady , she has been coming to me for 10 years and always seemed sensible , I intend to continue with her , after all I have had my vaccine, both doses , and who knows who I mix with when at the shops , I always leave the house when she comes and now will air the place before I venture in after She leaves
I have had workmen in and do the same , it never occurred to me to ask about their vaccine status
Lovely sun here today , I caught the sun yesterday so using sunscreen today , I never expected to get a tan in April!

Maybe the local press would be interested in the lack of support without naming your neighbour though.

Here is a picture of our adopted squirrel who comes to visit every morning and evening.
I'm having a tough time at the moment and the wildlife that visit my garden are possibly the only thing keeping me sane.

It’s another pleasant, sunny day. However, as many of you have said, we really do need some rain as the ground is looking parched - it doesn’t take long, does it, to dry out? I think we have a little rain forecast mid week.

Nothing different to report, just the same old, same old, but at least we are now able to get out for an outdoor coffee and cake, which DH and I managed to do on Friday.

Take care everyone and I do hope that you can get some support over your problem neighbour issue, Cherry. It must be so wearing for you ?.

Good Morning all, thankyou for your all your recent good wishes regarding our recent 40th WA and also the compliments re the cake. I didn't make it, an artisan local baker did ( I taught her children back in the day so knew 1st hand how good her cakes were ) and luckily she was still making them, but not on as large a scale as she used to. It tasted as good as it looked too!
Tidying up today after a weekend of mainly cake, and champagne (and firepit) in the garden with various visitors, no more than 6 at a time...now the balloons are slowly deflating and the banners look distinctly tired- took them down early evening yesterday but couldn't be bothered to tidy up then as CTM and LOD were beckoning!
Have a good day all, as a treat I've got a facial and pedicure booked this afternoon so I'd better get off GN and get on with the jobs!

A very good morning Mick and all from sunny and beautiful Anglesey.
Had our day out to visit family in Leicester yesterday. Traffic was eerily light all the way even the stretch of the M1 we take was empty, then we passed the big shopping centre at Fosse Park and realised that that’s where the world and his wife were. I’ve never seen so may cars.
Arrived in Glen Parva in time to eat our picnic lunch in the garden of the newly purchased, ripe for renovation house. The garden is like the jungle of Borneo only bigger, the house will be lovely after much hard work, great potential as estate agents would say.
It was lovely to see the grandchildren, one has just taken his first driving lesson, the next is now taller than me and the ten year old busy drawing up house plans and organising everyone.
The journey was good, one loo stop en route was at a Starbucks with a good queuing system and very clean toilets.
Home in time for Line of Duty, both promptly fell asleep so will catch up later.
Meeting up with two girlfriends for a glass of dry white and a sandwich in a pub garden later today, such excitement, I’m feeling brave but not complacent, covid hasn’t gone away but we’re all getting a bit safer with our two jabs.

It's simple though, wear your biggest girl pants so that you can grip them very tightly under your armpits. Don't let go - it'll distract them and either you'll be able to make a quick getaway, or at least the amusement that should cause will make you feel a bit better about things. Hopefully!

Horrible for you but if the results are worth it and you have no more worries, then 'tant mieux' as the French say - so much the better! We'll all keep fingers and toes crossed for you! ?

Good morning everyone, the sun has got it's hat on again today in the Gower.

We've been through another night of malarkey because of my neighbour, I'm getting now. She started her verbals around 7pm and I'd had enough by 12:30am so I rang the crisis team number. Automative message! I had to ring another number before I could speak to a human. When I got through the lady on the other end told me she was there on her own and there was no-one available to do anything at night! She also told me to contact appropriate official services to obtain help . She also suggested I phone the police and or contact my local councillor. What? I told her I've been doing that. I told her I've spoken to every agency under the sun and now somebody needs to do something! Argh, what is it with these people and so-called services.
I'll be the one who ends up in hospital getting treatment before my neighbour gets any help. I'm so worn out now.

I had a glorious couple of hours with my daughter in Perth yesterday - bright blue skies, blazing sunshine and that pesky cold breeze. DGDs stayed home as they are both drowning under catch-up schoolwork. They have six weeks of assessments and exams ahead of them, poor souls.
So here we are at today, with nothing planned. Lots to do of the boring kind of course - it's just finding that incentive ........

Good morning, Mick and everyone from a still dry and sunny Carlisle. I note it's raining in the Scottish Borders, Grammaretto, so not far away then. The forecast is for it to come south. I shall be glad in a way because I can hopefully stop watering my new turves. A tedious job.
I haven't met my new neighbours yet. The houses on either side and opposite are still unoccupied, the others are occupied by younger couples out at work all day and not to be seen at weekends either. In my last two homes, I was surrounded by oldies like myself. We watched out for each other and I always knew I could knock on any door for help though I never had to. I feel I might be the only oldie around. Is that going to be a good thing, I wonder? While it's possibly nicer to see younger life going on around you and I've often thought older folk shouldn't "ghetto-ise" themselves, we are aware of each others possible challenges.
I'm trying to get back into my usual housework routines today whilst still catching up with the moving admin.

Morning everyone. Got up at seven which has given me a boost. Vaccine side effects have disappeared. Sunny here but chilly. Sending WhatsApp messages to my three children. It only seems yesterday I used to bundle them out of the door for school and now they are the grown ups checking up on me.

Yes, Gelisajams - 3 cats and a mouse. They’re quite distanced and in trying to include all in the photo I think I’ve had to compromise on a crisp focus.

How wonderful being on a train, heading to Cambridge and reuniting with family, brook. Couldn’t think of anything better.

Pooch going for a shampoo this morning and I have to go to bank to try and track down money that BA say they have sent but because I had changed banks I never recieved
