Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright with some cloud but dry here in Brackley at the moment .
My day , after housework, I will ready to catch the bus to Bicester , still on a temporary schedule as to service .
Have a coffee and snack then a small shop , before returning home to watch cycling from a favourite part of the world , in Switzerland in the French speaking, Romandie area, I did a bike race in the area in early 70`s based between Geneva .and Lausanne .
Take Care,
Mick

If they ever grow up then they will probably drive big, flash cars to compensate for small, inadequate equipment.
Grandmabatty Hello again! Long time no see! grin
I assure you it wasn't me , whatever it was, disturbing the peace and quiet.
I'm still on parole and I've only ever driven small cars, sadly no longer! How the mighty have fallen. sad

but it was, at worst, a slightly odd feeling, but not painful. I was aware that something was going on inside me
oldudders Same here! Had prostate reduced by two-thirds back to normal size. No pain, no problem!
The camera wasn't HD, but it was hooked up to a monitor suspended above the area of interest so I was able to lie back and watch proceedings, on the monitor, that is!.
Not very interesting really, watching some pink flesh moving about and I might even have dozed off at times as you do watching TV!
Whilst having the usual cup of tea and biscuits afterwards, the surgeon came round and handed me a small coloured photo which he claimed was me!
It was a bit blurry (camera shake?), but to this day I reckon it could have been a file photo he handed out to all his patients. hmm
Needless to say I haven't had to go back for a second screening, fortunately!
Good Health

Thank you Gransnet HQ for deleting the offensive posts and for banning the unpleasant individuals who deliberately set out to shock and horrify the decent grans here. I hope we never see their like again.

grandMattie Tue 27-Apr-21 16:00:57

As a psychiatrist friend of mine used to say ,”Just Willie waving!”

Grandmabatty Tue 27-Apr-21 14:44:04

I suspect it was a teenage boy or two who thought we would be shocked and found it all funny. I taught a number like that over the years. If they ever grow up then they will probably drive big, flash cars to compensate for small, inadequate equipment.

I, too, missed the unpleasant posts, I was out getting jab no. 2.
Now I’m wondering what was said.......???

Think of the sort of sexual things a couple of pathetic, sad juveniles would post thinking they would upset the "oldies".

Probably just as well, grandmajet !

I reported those silly posters, (several times), just got a response from GNHQ to say that they've deleted posts & banned posters.
Is there anything to stop them from re-inventing themselves?

Mmm. Back to drawing board re highlighting. Must ask a child

Dogsmakemesmile Tue 27-Apr-21 13:44:20

Thank you* Jaxjacky* . First attempt at bold. Sorry. I just skimmed the texts that others have found offensive. Did not mean to imply I agreed with whatever was said by not commenting

Marydoll Tue 27-Apr-21 13:44:10

I suspect, it may be the same person!

Can't gransnet HQ remove their accounts?
It is unsettling to think your posts are being hijacked

I received a message from HQ saying they have been banned

Oldwoman70 Tue 27-Apr-21 12:50:48

I don't usually contribute to the Good Morning threads, although I do read them every day. I was so sorry to see it had been hi-jacked by a couple of truly unpleasant people and glad to see HQ has deleted their posts

Aldom Tue 27-Apr-21 12:46:28

I've reported multiple times. I see the pathetic posts are now being deleted by GNHQ

GrannyGravy13 Tue 27-Apr-21 12:42:24

Dull and dreich here but there is a freshness in the air that I find uplifting. Good morning everyone. Lurking inside due to ankle cast but have windows open, Have made a soup so that's something I can tick off my list of every day activities I can do again. Ashamed at my lethargy but working on it. So fascinating to read of others' days. A long time ago there was a weekly article at the back of one of the Sunday magazines. A life in the day of. Think was its name. Usually well known people wrote of their daily routine which gave an insight into their lives . I think that my work has taught me that all lives are fascinating, everyone of interest and merit and it is in the mundane we often find meaning. Apologies. Do not mean to lecture people on what is probably palpably obvious. Grateful to have read all above posts and wishing comfort to those in difficult places.
