All good friends and jolly good company.
A warm welcome and I trust that you will all enjoy our new meeting place. Spic and span but homely with it.

A message for Maw - we miss you!
Hello soop and all dear kitcheners I’m just trying to catch up with all the lovely news as I’m having a few busy but very enjoyable days
Hope you’re doing ok dragonfly and you’re home soon
Lovely that maw and Rosie are doing so well and getting to know each other
Will definitely miss your kind posts grandmafrench but will see you again soon
Today we’ve had a lovely walk by the river from Cambridge to Granchester and a superb lunch at the Orchard Tea room - it’s been quite warm in the sunshine too. Just one more day here then back home to Inverness on Tuesday
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of Sunday and toya ?
‘Evening All’.
Back home after a lovely BBQ this afternoon. All our very small family together as the Yorkshire Lass & her partner also came over. A mini celebration birthday event for Himself. It’s not actually until the middle of next week but the grandchildren were so excited to sing “Happy Birthday” to him it seemed a shame to point that out! No matter in the big sea. A few spits of rain but otherwise the sun came out and it was mild enough. Lucky us, as tomorrow’s forecast is pretty dire! Our daughters were discussing tonight’s LoD but as I don’t watch it I did some crayoning with little miss instead!
Bet most of Britain will be glued to the TV at 9pm tonight. Hope everyone has a peaceful night ahead. x
P.s. Beautiful photos soop and Yiayia!
Hello everyone - just popping in so you remember who I am.
Hoping dragonfly is home by now! Someone has to take that dog to the vet's
Glad to hear that your dh is feeling better panache.
soop, have another lie in tomorrow. It takes me ages to get going in the morning but, once I get started, I like to be busy!
Really glad I missed Naked Gardening Day - it's been a bit brisk round here.
Today, we have finished almost putting the hall back together (it's only been 18 months). I have added a photo! I have been told off about the pink umbrella - it is now in the cupboard under the stair - never to be seen again.
kitty your hallway looks very stylish. I love your ceiling light it’s so unusual for a hall and the flooring looks gorgeous!
I see you have a grandfather clock too. I’d love one as I find their sounds so comforting but sadly I don’t have the space in our tiny apartment.. Does it chime through the night?
kittylester that work was well worth waiting for. That hallway is really smart now. I am hopeful that is the last of the leaks and the drips.
soop I cannot believe that minx managed to devour 4 sachets of cat food and some biscuits. At this rate, you will both be returning to work to pay for it. A pity I do not live near and postage was not so horrendous because I have a cupboardful of food and a very large expensive bag of dry food.
In from the cold but quite a busy day outside once I got going. Tossing and turning too much last night.
Thank you Jax for the message from Grandmafrench. I shall miss her and her postings but she will soon be back.
Big thank you soop for your thoughts and photos. Lie ins are well needed some day. It was 10.30 when I rose today. Bliss.
I too will be glued to the TV tonight. Where has 7 weeks gone since LoD started?
Sainsbury's delivery arrived. Yet another driver. I remarked on how many we've had and rarely the same one twice. They come from one of four big Sainsbury's in Cornwall/Devon. There are 57 vans from his base (Plymouth) alone. Sorry - a very mundane topic but little to report as I'm still grounded. MrM is still under the car.
Texts from both grown up children today. Daughter still having problems with those pigeons. Son has two interviews next week and no news from hospital regarding granddaughter. So keeping fingers??crossed still for him.
Don't usually post on here but feel I have to say your hallway looks really nice Kitty very welcoming.
Very stately kitty worth the wait I hope. Pleased you enjoyed your get together Urmst, good job it wasn’t tomorrow ? you’ve had a lovely day too brook, it’s so cheering people out and about, so different from a couple of months ago. muse Good news you’ve heard from both children, we’ll be glued at 9, I may have a splash of Tia Maria and ice, normally a Christmas tipple.
ttfn.
Lovely hall Kittylester and I like the pink umbrella. That sounds like you have had a lovely time Urmstongran. Good to hear that both your children got in touch Muse. I will be watching LoD at nine o'clock. Whatever you are up to, I hope you have a good evening.
Your hall looks lovely kitty, well worth the wait.
soop, glad you managed a lie in today, hope you feel better for it.As kitty says maybe another lie in tomorrow?
We have had a busy day.We took Matilda for her swimming lesson then a walk and picnic in Llangollen where we also did our last years Christmas shopping? We are going to hopefully go to West Wales later in the week to see my in laws, the first time in 15 months. We hadn’t bought Christmas presents but apparently there is a pile of presents there for us and the children so we have had to do a lot of shopping today??
I am finding doing normal pre lockdown activities quite exhausting.Shopping didn’t used to be so tiring!
TOYA and have a good evening everyone.
Love your hall kitty it’s really gorgeous, thanks for the pic !
Thank you for being kind about our hall. I think we deserve a little show off.
Urms, It is not a particularly posh grandfather clock (actually I think it's a grandmother clock as it's smaller) as it is very plain and only about 100 years old but it was in my grannie's house and then my parent's. It is very reassuring to hear it ticking. It has Westminster Chimes and it does chime through the night but we don't hear it any more. Last time we had it cleaned and regulated it cost more than it is worth. Our children argue about who will inherit it - they could regret that.
Hello, I’ve never ventured into the kitchen before, thought I’d tiptoe in and have a look around. I’ll try not to disturb any body ?
Welcome Blossoming! Did you bring cake? ?
Love the hall Kitty - what colour is that? I like it a lot. We still have lots of decorating to do!
Lie ins and naps are the order of the day soop .
Sleep tight everyone
We don’t hear our striking clock any more either!
Hello blossoming and a very warm welcome to this lovely thread. There’s nothing but kindness and very good company here, do pop in whenever you can ?
Happy birthday, topsy.

You share it with our future Sil.
Happy Birthday to You ? ? ? Nannytopsy. Have a lovely day.
Your hall is very chic kitty the flooring is a really nice feature especially as you have quite a bit of wood framing around the doors.
Welcome to our friendly kitchen blossoming, and warm wishes (we need them to be warm - I’ve got the heating and fire on!) to all kitchen friends on this Bank Holiday.
I heard a TV weatherman say it’s the coolest early May BH on record.
I am sure I could move a bed into that lovely hall and there would be a perfect bedsit. I have a nasty feeling that the house owner has different ideas!
The sun is shining today- I have not put on any washing because heavy rain is forecast. I will be cross if it does not rain but Alexa usually knows the weather.
soop I do hope you are having a lazy day today. Can you get a second opinion on the "drop bot" because that sounds horrendous.
Welcome, Blossoming- you may "know" most of us already. Cake is always well received.
TOYA

They’ll have to takes turns about kitty a year each! ?
Happy birthday Topsy. Have a lovely day. Welcome to Blossoming. This is a very gentle, kind space. I,too, have the heating on. It's cold outside and a bit miserable. I haven't moved much today as I'm not babysitting. Apparently dgs has mithered his mum wanting to know when grandma is going to take him to see the ducks. He's a sweetheart. Needless to say,we shall be duck visiting tomorrow. I've saved bread for him to feed them. Kittylester I love your clock. My gran had a wag at the wa' clock. When she died I was given the clock and it travelled with me to every house and ended up in the garage. It doesn't work. Ds took it and it graces the wall in his flat. I'm glad it has stayed in the family. Soop I hope you are having a better day. Much love to you all.
Good morning every one.
Thank you all for your kind greetings yesterday, it means a lot.
I managed to escape from hospital at teatime last night armed with blood thinners and Beta Blockers. I am supposed to be grateful that I am allowed the new expensive blood thinners apparently.
The doctor thinks the problem was caused by age and chemo (the gift that keeps on giving!)
Your hall is beautiful kitty you must be so relieved. I too love the clock. We had a Grandmother clock but when we went abroad we let the house furnished and one of our tenants took it with them.
Happy Birthday Topsy I hope you do not have our rain.
Pleased you heard from both children Muse.
I hope you are feeling better soop.
