Scroll down for the list

I admit to seven although I mutter, 'Ooof' when I get up, not when I sit down. grin

Had to google Rachel Cut. I've never had one unless it was by accident.

Maywalk: my body work has started to fall to bits plus my exhaust has started to go and I have been right round the clock a few times BUT my headlights are still working.

Ooh hope you're only back-firing in private?

My young colleagues think I'm old when I come out with phrases like, "Dont Panic Mr Mannering" & then I have to explain.

10 for me but then I know I'm officially an old fogey and I do not care what young people think of me.

Recently I said to one of my nephews, "You're a young person, you'll understand this technology" and his reply was, "But I'm forty!" 'Nuff said.

Sorry that last line should be....
Never judge a book by its cover, the same can be said about an older person.

Where does that leave me.
At the age of 91 next month I am on Facebook as well as forums and I also have a WW2 website plus written books with all proceeds going to my local Childrens Hospice.

I may be a never was and my body work has started to fall to bits plus my exhaust has started to go and I have been right round the clock a few times BUT my headlights are still working.

When in hospital last November when the virus was at its peak I was in a side room with the door open just in case I had any more Asthma attacks
I was on my I-pod and folk could see me as they passed. I had a doctor come to me saying " So you are the lady the hospital is talking about" I asked him "Why because I had not been outside the room since I was put there" and his answer was "You are the only one in the hospital who is keeping in touch with your famly through Facetime and we just cant get our heads round the fact that you can do that at your age."

NEVER judge a book by its cover, the same and be said about an older person.

I m a babe ....still use FB and add salt to my food and don’t know love islanders by choice so 3

JackyB Thu 29-Apr-21 15:08:40

Having read the article now, I see that it is about what youngsters think that millenials do that dates them. In other words, it is our grandchildren's assessment of our children's generation. If their generation gap is no more serious than that then the world is quite a nice place really.

annodomini Thu 29-Apr-21 15:06:56

5. But then, I don't drink coffee whether cappuccino or not; and I don't take milk or sugar in my tea.

JackyB Thu 29-Apr-21 15:00:26

I counted 4, although I did just sit down without grunting.

Don't watch TV although I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't show DH a trick or two with the remote. Don't live in the UK so several don't apply there either. I don't turn the sound down when I park, I turn it off.

How would you know if you've used a hashtag wrongly? And, anyway, as far as I know, they are only used on Twitter. I do not subscribe to Twitter or Facebook or any such thing, on the advice of my offspring who are all in their 30s, wear comfortable shoes and barbecue with coals.

I do not drink coffee, cappuccino or otherwise because it doesn't agree with me - never has - and haven't taken sugar in my tea since I was 14.

Beswitched Thu 29-Apr-21 12:36:11

'silly ' article not 'still'

Beswitched Thu 29-Apr-21 12:35:31

5 for me. I'm obviously deeply immature for my age.

Still article though. No one over the age of 51 should wear jeans??

Anyhow one of the best things about getting older is that you no longer care about being bang on trend. You've seen so many of them come and go you realise they're just a load of nonsense.

Ro60 Thu 29-Apr-21 11:38:31

7 still a spring chicken then -? ???

Amberone Thu 29-Apr-21 11:27:58

I think I scored 12. Ish. I don't drink cappucino but do drink latte, so I think the same thing applies. I can use the TV remote but do get confused with having three remotes.

I am apparently ancient. But happy.

Blinko Thu 29-Apr-21 10:23:58

7 or 8 though I wasn't too sure how to count those I've never done at all confused

Kate1949 Thu 29-Apr-21 10:19:11

And I've never been on Facebook!

Witzend Thu 29-Apr-21 10:10:25

6, but does Facebook count if you never post anything and only really use it after being prompted that it’s so and so’s birthday? Because you’ll feel mean if you don’t?

As for not recognising Love Island contestants, I’m pleased to have counted that one!

Kate1949 Thu 29-Apr-21 10:09:02

Not many. I can't drive, don't like coffee, don't watch Countryfile. smile

timetogo2016 Thu 29-Apr-21 10:08:41

4 for me.

kittylester Thu 29-Apr-21 10:01:11

The 'turning down the radio to park' one made me laugh!

henetha Thu 29-Apr-21 09:56:46

I scored 7. Is that not bad for my age? Don't fully understand it. It's just a bit of fun I think. grin

grandMattie Thu 29-Apr-21 09:53:12

"Yes" to only a couple - mostly "Nos" because either I don't do it or I have no idea what they are talking about, e.g. hashtags, I still don't understand... Am I young or old?

nanna8 Thu 29-Apr-21 09:49:11

2- I’ve never heard of half of them, especially tv people.

HurdyGurdy Thu 29-Apr-21 09:46:15

7, but two not-sures.

I don't know what the correct way to use # is, but in any event, I don't use them

And I do have a DVD collection, but they're never watched.

I wear comfy shoes, but usually Skechers, which I think are "trendy" ( do we dare even use that word hmm )

And I am still on Facebook, but also have Twitter and Instagram accounts, although I don't think I've ever posted anything

Sarnia Thu 29-Apr-21 09:39:21

I laughed at the Countryfile one. I watch for the weather forecast. Officially decrepit.

shysal Thu 29-Apr-21 09:37:37

11!

Lollin Thu 29-Apr-21 09:36:01

I didn’t take it seriously either, just bit of nonsense fun.
