Much joy for everyone B9 ???

B9exchange Fri 30-Apr-21 16:57:14

Mum and Olive have been allowed home, such a relief! Freddie is being incredibly caring and gentle with his little sister, he is a bit concerned about the large lump on her head! Good news all round on the baby front... grin

Stilllearning Fri 30-Apr-21 14:43:43

Thanks Marydoll, mystery solved and I’m not, as I feared, totally confused.com!

Marydoll Fri 30-Apr-21 14:34:39

Maw was going to rename Rosie, Maisie, but decided to keep Rosie, as it suited her better.....I think. I'm trying to trawl back my messages from Maw to confirm!

Stilllearning Fri 30-Apr-21 14:15:03

Came to this dog names conversation late: was Maisie not mentioned at one point? Whose dog was she? Sorry Urms!

Urmstongran Fri 30-Apr-21 12:51:32

No dragonfly keep up at the back. I got Rosie’s name right she’s on the 2-photo shoot in her dog basket.

The 1 dog was what I got wrong.
I called her Hattie and Maw reminded me that it was in fact Gracie.

Maybe I should just let sleeping dogs lie?!
??

Urmstongran Fri 30-Apr-21 12:49:07

Roses ?

B9exchange Fri 30-Apr-21 12:39:35

Latest update from the hospital, little Olive's jaundice has eased slightly, so they may be able to come home today. She still looks very sun tanned, when DS was like that I was advised to dress him in green!

Thinking of ginny, hope she doesn't have too long to wait.

dragonfly46 Fri 30-Apr-21 12:37:36

What Urmston says is true (apart from getting Rosie's name wrong grin) Ellan. You must do what is best for you and as you have already had one vaccination you are protected and you protect those around you.

Auntieflo Fri 30-Apr-21 12:33:18

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
I still am muzzy, and not quite 'me', but I have skim read, and must thank Urms, for the picture of Rosie. Every time I see a picture of a greyhound / lurcher, I think of Maw , so wish her well with her new companion .
Also thanks for the bluebell photos, it reminds me that we should visit a local park that has beautiful bluebells.
Marydoll, are you overdoing it again? ?
Dragonfly, what a gorgeous boy Dexter is. Best wishes for his op.
Cherry you sound as busy as six people, slow down, and relax! It is a Bank Holiday you know. ?
Ginster, your remarks of local places made me nostalgic. Many years ago, when first married, we lived in Rayleigh, so I remember those places.
Must go now, DH wants a lift into town.
Have a good day one and all.

Roses Fri 30-Apr-21 12:31:16

URMS no need to apologise Gracie must have been before my time on GN

Don't worry your not cracking up?

muse Fri 30-Apr-21 12:21:52

Well - it's good afternoon from sunnyish Cornwall. ?
Had a very quick scroll through today posts.. I do like Maw's rescue dog. A lady after my own heart. Thank you for the photo of Rosie Urmston.

I've been busy with delivery of sleepers and phone calls about a new silencer box for my car most of the morning. The one that arrived yesterday has a different fitting ! I've now left MrM getting his welding gear out to make the necessary adjustment. Suzuki don't stock the one I need. Car will probably not be on the road till the weekend. ??
I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy tickets for an Eden Session. A band I like are appearing in September. It's open air and standing. It's an amazing site for a gig.

Today is full of pricking out seeds and walk around the wood with Mya.

Feel very lost without a car. It must be like stranded on a desert island. Good thing there's enough food in to last till the Sainsbury's delivery on Sunday. Never done it but nearest shop is probably an hour's walk away.

I will read through the posts later on today before I visit soop's kitchen.?

Urmstongran Fri 30-Apr-21 12:19:28

Oh Rosie apologies all round! Maw used to have 2 rescue greyhound dogs - Hattie & Gracie.

Now she has 5y old Rosie.

I’m going for a lie down ....

Lins1066 Fri 30-Apr-21 12:13:19

What a lovely dog Maw, thank you for showing the photos of Rosie, she is one lucky dog.
Hope Dexter gets on well today.
Take care of yourself today Cherry, so far you've sent the sun over the Bay to us.

Roses Fri 30-Apr-21 12:12:40

Who is Gracie?

Urmstongran Fri 30-Apr-21 12:10:19

Sorry everyone for the confusion. That single photo next to Maw words is of GRACIE not Hattie.

Good job I don’t have a scalpel in my hand doing something important today ...

Good Morning to you all from "sunny at the moment" Cambs.,

Lovely photos, thank you Urmstongran, both for the bluebells & for sharing Maw's special new friend. happy times ahead for Maw & Rosie.
dragonfly, good wishes for your Dexter's op., he's gorgeous.

Have another great day in Cambridge, Brook.

Warm wishes to you all, especially those with extra troubles. flowers

Good morning from northern Scotland, where it is sunny but very chilly with a northerly breeze. Every time I go down the road there are even more lambs bursting out (we start lambing very late up here). Later on I’ll check how my newly planted broad beans and peas have survived their first night completely in the open.

EV you are absolutely right to leave off the second jab, given what happened after your first! It must have been terrifying. Look at it this way - you have some immunity after the first jab, and we are all having our second jabs so you don’t have to flowers

A good late morning to everyone from a distinctly grey Gower.

We had another busy day clearing the kitchen and dining rooms yesterday. Enough already! More pots and pans, pie dishes, cake tins and goodness knows what else than you can shake a big stick at ?. No wonder we need a new kitchen ?. Of course I had another bad seizure ?. Not much to do now though ... we are determined to have a restful weekend ?
A cooking day today ready for the freezer so we can eat decent food whilst the work is carried out.

What a lovely companion Rosie will be to Maw ?. She looks and sounds like a lovely dog.
That chow is gorgeous by the way ☺️. I hope the operation makes it easier for him to breathe.
Congratulations again to your DiL and you all B9exchange. I'm sure she will be thoroughly brothered ?
Sorry to hear that you are feeling yucky after your jabs Susan and Marydoll. I hope you both feel better soon ?. Marydoll it's just not on that B&M and TKMaxx were that busy. It just won't do! You deserve to be able to shop in peace ?
I hope you both do get to see your DD harrigran and you get to spend some lovely time together ? ?
Ellianne ?
I'm going to miss LauraNorder whilst she takes her long break, I hope it won't be too long.
Thank you for your well wishes Susan and hollysteers. It does mean a lot to me.

Take care everyone and find something to enjoy whatever you are doing today ❤️

Blossoming Fri 30-Apr-21 11:09:31

Good morning all from an increasingly cloudy Lancashire. We had quite a bit of rain here yesterday and it looks as though we’re in for some more, after a bright start.

I had an enjoyable afternoon shredding tons of old paperwork yesterday, more to go at yet! The legacy of 20 years working from home. Things that were once essential now just so much clutter ?

Wishing everyone the best day possible ?

Grandmajean Fri 30-Apr-21 11:08:48

Lovely dog Urmstongran. I know she isn't yours ( am too new to know Maw) but am guessing Rosie is a rescue dog ? Love to see them getting a home. If I was a bit younger and didn't have a neurotic rescue cat I would have a dog !

EllanVannin Fri 30-Apr-21 11:06:16

Love Snowdonia by the way,*Roses*. I've been to the summit in the tram/train---wonderful.

EllanVannin Fri 30-Apr-21 11:03:17

Urmston, you're such a sensible bod yourself grin x
Thankyou for that.

EllanVannin Fri 30-Apr-21 11:00:54

Roses, I always have to be blue-lighted and sirens ( sometimes ) into resus. The last time being December 2019 a week before Christmas and since then I'd been fine with an increase in medication---until after the first jab, so it was no coincidence as far as I was concerned.

It's either I risk death from another vaccination or Covid itself.
