Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like a sunny start here in Brackley ,and know wind at the moment.
Yesterdays trip was OK ,apart from the rain shower when eating and drinking outside, but otherwise I did manage to get what I wanted.
Today, a local shop, then stay in with a coffee and biscuits later , also TV , normality as we knew seems to be slowly returning .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ?Northampton. Forecast showers later, but hope they hold off until I've got home from my hair appointment at lunchtime. I just can't wait for a good cut and restyle, and will try to persuade the stylist to put blonde highlights in this time instead of the caramel ones she did last time. Your hair looks lovely Urmston.

Yesterday was very showery, so never made it outside until late afternoon when the tree man came to look at the two trees I need cutting back. He gave me a good quote, and will be back on Friday to do the work.

I actually set to and cleaned my oven yesterday morning; it must be all of two years months since it was last done, but wasn't as bad as I feared. I had to remove the glass from the oven door and was so scared that I was going to drop and smash it! But all went well.

Hope people feeling poorly find that they perk up today and find a flamingo.

Lovely sunny day here, morning all, so lovely to see another update from sheep, I love your posts. Ash I am so pleased your trip went well, and you can shower in comfort!

So sorry to hear it didn’t go as planned for Dexter, hope you both start to feel better soon. Poor Grandmajet, I would have been in tears, never mind moaning, if I had psyched myself up for a major operation only to have it cancelled at the last minute.

Now I really need your help. All the reference to pink flamingos is new to me, please can someone explain to a bear of little brain what they mean? Unfortunately I tried googling it, and the urban dictionary came up with a description of an image that I now cannot unsee, I really do not advise you to go there!! shock

Anyone help me out?

Purplepixie Wed 05-May-21 09:22:50

Good morning from a cloudy and sunny east Midlands. Family tree stuff to do this morning and a walk this afternoon. Stay safe and take care.

aggie Wed 05-May-21 09:15:52

Good Morning all, so sorry for all the poorly and disappointed people on here , I’m glad I missed the mess on the forum yesterday
Sun is shining but it’s too cold to sit out with my porridge like we did last year

brook2704 Wed 05-May-21 09:15:33

So sorry to hear your op has been delayed grandmajet no wonder you’re feeling upset by it all especially as you’d cancelled your holiday too. Hopefully the hospital won’t keep you waiting too long and it’ll be over and done with soon. Sending hugs
Hope marydoll and anyone else I’ve missed who’s feeling poorly today improves very soon - take care all

Nannagarra Wed 05-May-21 09:08:40

Hope all goes well with the physio Ladyleftfieldlover and that your arm soon heals sheepandcattle.
Sending a gentle stroke for Dexter.

Nannytopsy Wed 05-May-21 09:06:02

Good morning Mick and all his followers. There’s been lots of activity on here already - it’s taken me ages to read it all. I hope you are feeling better soon Marydoll .
Sunny in Suffolk and hopefully it will begin to warm up now.
DH was up early for a visit to the podiatrist when half a ton of gravel arrived. We were expecting to have to wait until next week. That’ll keep us busy then!
I hope everyone has a good day.

Grandmajean Wed 05-May-21 08:59:31

Haven't read posts yet but just popping in to say Good Morning. Bright and sunny in Cheshire today. Hope temp up a bit. Will read all your news later. I do read them but always seems a bit late to comment. Have seen that great hairstyle while scrolling Urmstongran

Anniebach Wed 05-May-21 08:54:56

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Nannagarra Wed 05-May-21 08:54:39

Good morning everyone from sunny and thankfully now still and calm Sefton.
There’s an awful lot going on here today. I love the photos from grandMattie, Ashcombe and Urmstongran. It’s encouraging to hear you’re back swimming Beechnut - it’s at the top of my ‘to do’ list when the local facilities open. It’s perfectly understandable how you feel, jet, so there’s absolutely no need to think you’re moaning. You aren’t. Awww Marydoll, I so wish you a speedy recovery.
We’re slowly returning to normal, going into shops, seeing friends, picking up our DGD from school. Yesterday she excitedly ran to me and hugged my legs then sought and held my hand as we crossed the road - simple acts which mean so much. I’m catching up with dental and medical appointments, though tomorrow afternoon I’m due to have an MRI which I dread. I’ll be glad when Thursday night comes.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Good mornin Mick and all from a sunny but still chilly S Hants. I’m at DD’s awaiting a plumber, had to leave home at 7:25, so I’m not really awake, how I used to get up at 6 for work at 7:15 I don’t know! There are also 2 kittens bouncing around, I’ll be very careful letting said plumber in so they don’t escape.
Lots of doings this morning people, stunning hair Urms, ice cream vans, return train journeys and plans for the day. Grandmajet I too would be cross, you were prepared, now let down. Good to see you back sheep and Marydoll a bit of a bugger your réaction has knocked you for six again.
No real plans today, plumber due between 8 and 12 here, let me guess. I have a pie to make at home, in a kitchen full of boxes from an unexpectedly early (seven weeks) furniture delivery yesterday, no notification, just turned up, a phone call was made.
Have a gentle day all.

Stilllearning Wed 05-May-21 08:46:14

Morning from a sunny but no doubt cold S Lanarkshire, the blue sky does lift the spirits though. I’ve just skimmed the posts so far but must say your hair looks magnificent Urmston!

Noticed that you’re still coping with after effects of the vaccine
Marydoll, hope that improves soon.

Also grandmajet, how very hard to have your operation delayed when you have so bravely prepared yourself for it. ?

baubles, what a sudden outbreak of activity, childminding and then a weekend away! Enjoy it all.

No major plans today but definitely a walk while the sun shines.
Sending good wishes to everyone ??

Lins1066 Wed 05-May-21 08:45:37

Good morning Mick and all from a bright S Welsh coast. Nice photos Ash, Glad you enjoyed your short break.
All went well with our second injections yesterday, we did the short dash from the car to the surgery in a hail shower. Will take it easy today.
Lovely hair Urm, very glam.
How wonderful to see an eagle nanna8 our daughter visited Phillip Island in 2017, she went to see the penguins there.
A gentle pat for Freddie and Dexter, hope that Dexter will improve.
Enjoy your visit to family Susan, that's a long drive for you but lovely scenery I should think.
Hope all is going well with your new kitchen Cherry, it will be lovely I bet.
Stay safe everyone.

EllanVannin Wed 05-May-21 08:23:07

Good Morning All x.
Oooooh, it's sunny and bright after yesterday's washout. Intermittent hail-stones sounded like someone throwing gravel at the windows. Needless to say I didn't get my big shop and just made do with bits from the corner shop. I still have plenty to go at in the freezer---tend to overspend shock

A quick clean of the kitchen and bathroom and a bed change, that should take me up to lunchtime. Expecting a parcel so I'll be staying put today.

Gorgeous hair Urmston such a lot of body in it. I'd be sleeping with my head hanging over the bed grin
I'd leave the colour as it is if that was me, it's lovely.
The cleverest colours I ever had were in Oz when the hairdresser did 3 colours intertwined---gold, bronze and copper, it was never managed here sad

Glad you enjoyed your weekend Ashcombe in that lovely part of the country, much of which I too enjoyed on my past Shearings jaunts.

Must look out for some of those serviettes they're lovely. Plenty of different Christmassy ones in the drawer and a couple of Easter ones grin How have I amassed so many ? smile

Meters were read yesterday and the silly old thing stood and watched me lugg the heavy desk which is in front of the meter in the hall, good job it slides along on the carpet [hmm}

I can't believe this cold weather for May though, we're nearly half way through the year and there's been nothing to speak of really. I feel as though I've been muffled up in jumpers for ages. A bit of warmth is what we all need.

Hoping everyone enjoys the day and glad to learn that our 4-legged friends are alright. Take care all and stay safe. Thoughts to those who aren't so grand xx Absent friends too.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 05-May-21 08:21:40

Morning Mick and all

Urmstongran your hair looks fabulous.
grandmajet how discombobulating for you, to have readied yourself for a big operation and then to have it cancelled, hope you manage to enjoy the day with your DD.
Ladyleftfieldlover I guess you are in a private hospital, enjoy the facilities.
Wishing all the post-op doggies a speedy recovery.
Marydoll take it easy and I wish you back to novella writing health soon.

My plan for the day is change our bed, sort out parcels to send (Canada and UK) walk to the Post Office and get them gone! Then I have the gym, pick up 6yr old from school for his weekly sleepover here, lots of spoiling (he is such a sweetie).
I have some chicken thighs marinating in a friends secret tandoori spice mix I just add yoghurt and lemon juice, will cook later with my version of sag aloo (spinach and potatoes) along with rice and a flat bread.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Ellianne Wed 05-May-21 08:12:23

Good morning all. Sunny in Devon, so off for a quick walk. The dog won't eat his breakfast since his cat passed last week, (they shared!), so I'm breaking the routine by giving it to him after.
I'll read the posts on my return.

Gelisajams Wed 05-May-21 08:11:04

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where it’s now dry. We await a builder who is coming with scaffolding to replace the silicone between the cladding and brickwork of our house. The house seems to be held together with silicone and after four years it’s shrinking!
Sorry to hear it didn’t go so well for Dexter and that your op has been postponed Grandmajet
Hope things are going ok for Cherry and Mary feels stronger today.
A lazy day for me after a hectic one yesterday.
Take care and stay safe everyone ???

Alygran Wed 05-May-21 08:10:07

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s a lovely sunny day ...so far.
Yesterday I got caught in a hailstorm while out with a friend.
Urms your hair is lovely.
Sorry you still feel rough Mary. DD2 had her second jab at work yesterday. There was some left after the morning clinic in her building.
Sheep hope your arm improves quickly and Left hope getting back on your feet is as pain free as possible.
My new fire place is coming today so I had better put the iPad down and get ready!
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe.

monk08 Wed 05-May-21 08:06:25

Glad all went well Ladyleftfieldlover that breakfast sounds like a 5star hotel one, last time I was in hospital it was nothing like that☹

ginny Wed 05-May-21 08:04:03

Good morning all. It’s a bit brighter this morning here in N. Bucks.
Sorry to hear about those of you with upsets and troubles.
Main event for me is my second vaccination this afternoon. I had no immediate reactions last time but had some problems a week or so later which may or may not have been linked. We’ll see how it goes this time.
Hope you all find a ?today.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 05-May-21 08:00:55

I am lying in my hospital bed in Oxford and the view from my window is of blue sky and sunshine. I had my partial knee replacement yesterday and today the physio will get me on my feet. Breakfast was a plate of perfectly cooked poached eggs followed by mini Danish pastries. I might be going hone this evening, but more likely tomorrow.

baubles Wed 05-May-21 07:58:58

Of course you’re upset Grandmajet, you’d have to be a saint not to be.

Marydoll, you’ve been through the wringer, poor soul. Hope you start to feel better soon.

I didn’t know there had been any unpleasantness yesterday, glad I missed it.

Greyduster Wed 05-May-21 07:58:20

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a calm and sunny South Yorkshire. We went out shopping for some sofa tables yesterday and seem to have settled on some but to be honest I think they’re overpriced, so we’re thinking about it. This morning we are paying a brief visit to take flowers and a card to a friend who has a birthday today, and then we are planning a walk. Have a good day everyone.
