Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like a sunny start here in Brackley ,and know wind at the moment.
Yesterdays trip was OK ,apart from the rain shower when eating and drinking outside, but otherwise I did manage to get what I wanted.
Today, a local shop, then stay in with a coffee and biscuits later , also TV , normality as we knew seems to be slowly returning .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s looking quite bright this morning, a better day ahead perhaps.

A deserted beach and an eagle in a blue sky - that sounds blissful nanna8.

I love the all photos this morning from flamingos to glamorous hairdos via Willys ice cream van.

Glad to hear that your DD arrived safely Harri, best wishes for your DH today.

Hope Dexterdog feels better as the day goes on.

Your poor roses amselerin but the deer must be a beautiful sight of a morning.

Today I will be getting organised for our weekend away. I need to soak dried fruit to make a couple of loaves early in the morning and think about what else I can bake that will keep well. Ironing is on my list too.
We’re going on Friday morning but tomorrow will be a childminding day for DS so everything needs done today.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day. ??

Morning all from a chilly Glasgow.

I'm still suffering awful side effects, so not really up to posting much! I slept all of yesterday afternoon and felt no better!!!
I missed all the unpleasantness on GN yesterday, probably for the best! ?

I need to report a new vaccine side effect to the Yellow card site. My GP says its really important to do so, as they get updates on a daily basis.
The last time, posting all my meds and conditions took an hour and I can't face it! My brain is mush!? ?

I will read all the posts later, take care all my morning thread friends.

Sorry Dexter’s op did not go to plan, dragonfly. I hope he manages to eat something today.
Good to see you back sheep and fingers crossed for rain and grass.

Urmstongran Wed 05-May-21 07:38:32

Goodness grandmajet you’re definitely not moaning. You are upset and anxious. Big difference lady. You had psyched yourself up to prepare for major surgery - what an absolute rollercoaster of emotions for you. Of course you feel sorry for yourself. It’s completely understandable.
Big hugs. xx

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The sky is cloudless from my front window at present. Such a change from yesterday.
Provided the weather doesn't change I'm taking my deckchair and cuppa to the park, a 5 minute walk from home, for our Wednesday meetup this morning.

I can see no need for colour at the back of your hair ,Urmston
I have embraced my natural highlights during lockdown!

Much love to all x

Good morning all from a bright, calm but still chilly Essex.

Urms - lovely hair.

Ash interesting pics. Glad all your jobs got done at your holiday home. ?

My DD and DIL have gone back to swimming and I think I might join them. I have missed it this last year. Have to shave my legs and bikini area and probably get a bigger swimsuit ?. Oh dear , shall I bother ! ?.

DH has a full blood test this morning to find out why he’s so lacklustre. No energy, motivation, grumpy and achey, stiff legs and tired all the time. He spoke to his old school pal yesterday and he said he felt just the same. Perhaps it is just lockdown ! The doc told Dh yesterday that it could be long Covid ?.

I hope Marydoll is up to writing a novella today. ?

Hoping your days are full of sunshine ?

Good morning from a sunny Notts. What lovely photos today - beautiful hair, pretty serviettes and dear Tavistock - I lived just outside Plymouth in my youth so I know it well.

Today I was meant to be having a pre-op assessment for my ultra radical surgery but I had a phone call yesterday delaying it for two weeks. I was quite upset as I wonder, selfishly, when on earth they will get round to me. However we now have new plans for today and are meeting DD1 by the lovely river Trent for coffee in the sunshine and a little walk. We were meant to be having a holiday in June for all our family, 14 of us, we’d booked some cottages in Yorkshire, to celebrate DH’s 70th birthday, but we cancelled because of my surgery and I now wonder if we should have gone ahead. I must stop feeling sorry for myself, it’s not a good feeling.

Apologies for the moan. It’s a nice sunny day, let’s all try to enjoy it. ?

Good morning all from a sunny, still Wiltshire. I haven’t posted for a while as I just seemed to have got out of the habit but all well here. Bogdon the bull has left the building (!) and has returned to the farm he came from with a spring in his step and much improved health wise. I was sorry to see him go as I’d become fond of him. He did however leave me something to remember him by - I was fastening a chain around the pen gate as we were waiting for him to be picked up and he decided to rub his head against the gate - unfortunately my arm was trapped between the gate and a ton of bull....... ouch! Luckily just bruised and not broken. Popeye’s eye has healed as well as it is ever going to be - I don’t think she has any sight in it but it doesn’t bother her in the least, so I see that as a good result. Olive’s walking improves daily although she still staggers like she has had one to many! Still, a great improvement on the paralysis 4 weeks ago.
We had the first calf born in the summer calving herd at the weekend and over the next couple of months we have another 20 due. We’re still short of grass and having to move the cattle from field to field almost daily to try and give them a bite of grass to eat. They are still needing big round bales of hay to supplement the lack of grass but luckily we still have some left over from the winter. If the grass doesn’t get on and grow we’ll be struggling for a good crop of hay for next winter though.
I’ll catch up on on all your news now, but wishing you all a less windy, happy Wednesday.

Urmstongran it is extremely memorable! Obviously I can't discuss particular performances but some have been eye opening. I have a scenario to work to, but I have to respond to each candidate's prompts as they go in different ways. It keeps me alert.

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Dexters op did not really go to plan so we are not sure if it has done any good. I also asked about a lump on his face which the vet forgot to biopsy. He is going to try next week but it would have been good while he was under. He was too sore to eat last night so will see how it goes today.

Have a good day everyone.

brook2704 Wed 05-May-21 07:28:30

Thank you all so much for your good wishes about my trip away, I got home safely yesterday evening and DH met me at the station. The long journey was fine and passed quite quickly. You’re exactly right gaga I’ve definitely got to do a food shop this morning although everywhere is quite tidy and DH seems to have been ok on his own! No rest yet though as we’ve got the Inverness DGC staying over here this evening as they’re off school tomorrow due to polling day.
Have a safe journey today susan and hope DH parents are well

Urmstongran Wed 05-May-21 07:22:43

That sounds really interesting Grandmabatty! Bet with some candidates it’s a very memorable experience!

monk08 Wed 05-May-21 07:21:28

Nothing specific planned Urmstongran will see what DGS wants to do. Will probably go to the park, but he enjoys playing with the Thomas train set and big brother won't be around to interfere ?. Your hair looks good and the colours lovely.

Grandmabatty Wed 05-May-21 07:17:58

Good morning all from Polmont sitting at zero degrees and sunny. Urmstongran what lovely hair! And Ashcombe great photos. grandmattie I would have bought those too! So cheerful. Susan that's a very long time in a car. I hope your visit is a good one.
Today I am working. I am involved in interviews for head teacher posts. My drama queen past comes out as part of the interview process involves role play and dealing with parents and staff. Because of my background teaching I usually play the teacher role and invariably the teacher has issues. It's very interesting to see how each candidate deals with the scenario. I've done this for years and it's like improvisation. I think this will be my last year doing it though as I'm nearly three years away from teaching.
Anyway whatever your day brings, I hope it's good.

Susan56 Wed 05-May-21 07:16:28

Your hair looks lovely Urmstongran.I think I would be popping there for a blow wave whenever the occasion demanded it!

NanKate Wed 05-May-21 07:09:12

Hello Kitty.

NanKate Wed 05-May-21 07:08:47

Good morning Mick and All from a very bright morning in South Bucks.

What fab photos from the bright serviettes, to Willy’s ice-cream to your gorgeous hairdo Urm. If I may make a suggestion I would keep your hair colour exactly as it is, I think it looks very Glam, like a film star of the 1940s.

Off to watch the tennis in Madrid today. ??

kittylester Wed 05-May-21 07:08:06

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

I had a lovely morning yesterday with Wolfie, who talks non stop, and then a strange Zoom Dementia cafe where there was 1 member of staff,c3 volunteers and one husband and wife attending.

Today I have a huge heap of admin to do and DH is off to get his hair cut - damn him!! I still have another week to wait.

Urmstongran Wed 05-May-21 07:04:13

Nah, it’s smoke and mirrors there grandMattie from a professional who was wafting the hairdryer about to give it a bit more volume! It only looked like that till bedtime ...

? mind you, nice to know I could pop round the corner for a fancy blow wave anytime!

Morning to you too monk08. ? have you any plans for today?

nanna8 Wed 05-May-21 07:03:11

Good afternoon from Phillip Island. Lovely sunny day today, the beach is good, not a soul in sight . Just saw an eagle soaring up above, what a delightful sight. ?

amselerin Wed 05-May-21 06:59:49

Good morning Mick and all from chilly, windy Lueneburg..
I am going to see the doctor this morning for a yearly check up. Yesterday I painted the cellar room which the lodgers are going to get as well as sorting my papers out for the tax return - apart from just chilling. Too cold to go outside. The dear are in my garden every evening now. They nibble on everything and eat a lot on lawn (I have a lot of wild flowers in it). They are lovely to see, and I know that they are not save outside my garden (the forester has 2 high seats not far from here). They can graze in peace here, but unfortunately they love the leaves of the rose bushes. Today my gardener is coming to see if he can stop them coming into the garden. They are relaxing lots of the lock down rules . I am not so happy about that, because not so many people have been vaccinated. But what will be will be.
I hope that Marydoll, Sheepcattle grandmafrench and all the others that are not posting are well. Take care all and keep well or get better soon.

grandMattie Wed 05-May-21 06:58:39

No colour Urms, it is lovely as it is. My what a lot of hair you’ve got! I’m (was) a blonde with the extremely fine hair it brings....
