After the unpleasantness yesterday thought I would start something a little light hearted

There was an article on local radio this morning discussing breakfast preferences one man said he has had the same breakfast every day since he was 14 and is now 52! (Scrambled eggs with cheese)

Do GNs have the same breakfast every day? I tend to vary my breakfast between cereal (porridge in the winter) or toast but have a cooked breakfast on Sundays

Usually yoghurt and Branflakes with coffee, sometimes porridge. At the weekend poached eggs on toast, occasionally a bacon sandwich again with coffee.

Mostly a beautiful boiled Burford brown egg with one piece of whole meal seeded bread. Egg and bacon with a tomato on Saturday.

Croissants / brioche rolls, usually smothered in Normandy butter and Greek honey. Occasionally porridge made with oat milk.I could never eat a 'fry up' first thing.

I usually just have coffee.

If I am hungry mid-morning a slice of bread and cheese or jam or sometimes a bowl of porridge.

If I’m rushing it would be banana sandwich and water, otherwise lovely oats made with milk or toast and marmalade with coffee.

Weekdays it's a nectarine, blueberries, nuts, seeds, granola, Greek yogurt and milk, with black decaff coffee. Saturdays it's red grapefruit followed by porridge. If in a hotel or stopping for breakfast on the motorway it is a cooked breakfast with eggs etc. (vegetarian).

Yep, same very day. Quite enjoy the predictability of it as nothing else in my life is predictable, having been self employed, freelance and in and out of all kinds of work. Breakfast is my anchor!
Porridge, mixed nuts, 2 prunes, some blueberries, a pinch of cacao nibs, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
Probably the healthiest meal of the day
I just wish I could add a few exercises to my regular routine but seem to forget, every day without fail!

Oh and a probiotic first thing then a cup of green tea too!

would you care to share the recipe please?

I’ve never been a breakfast person, although I would never let my children or grandchildren leave the house without having it.
I usually have two cups of tea and a banana now as I have to take medication.

Sugar free muesli with blueberries and a sliced banana-with semi skimmed milk and a big mug of Yorkshire tea. We have toast ( made from homemade bread from the bread maker ) at weekends as well.Occasionally we’ll have a bacon and egg brunch if the mood takes us.

I have porridge oats each day with one banana, two dates, fistful of blueberries and a 1/4 tsp of Moringa powder ... than drowned them in milk...

When at home it is usually bran flakes with seeds and sliced banana. In preference it would be the breakfast I have when on holiday abroad at a favorite hotel. Scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fried bread, sliced potato and juicy tomatoes and toast. Followed by lots of fresh fruit with yogurt and quark. Followed by madeira cake with chunks of orange flavoured chocolate and a little custard pastry. Three cups of coffee and a glass of fresh orange. I think that is it!! So missed my holidays! grin grin

Blondiescot Thu 06-May-21 12:58:39

At home, it's usually toast with Marmite, but this past year, I've missed our holidays to Turkey because I absolutely adore a traditional Turkish village breakfast!

Stella14 Thu 06-May-21 13:00:40

I tend to have the same thing, but after a while, I’ll fancy something else. Then that will become my same thing for a while.

For the last few months, it’s been porridge, with a little raw honey and coffee.

I usually have cereal, either Weetabix, porridge, or shreddies. Occasionally I have marmalade on toast.

dogsmother Thu 06-May-21 13:18:14

Blueberries ( always keep frozen bag in ) oats and a teaspoon of mixed seeds topped with Greek yoghurt and cinnamon.
I have this most days through summer. Winter is usually hot oats with maple syrup and cinnamon and maybe dates chopped through also.

Aepgirl Thu 06-May-21 13:26:31

Most days I have porridge (made in a saucepan (not microwave readybrek), with fresh fruit.

annodomini Thu 06-May-21 13:29:58

Fruit - bananas, blueberries or both - Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey, muesli or gluten free cornflakes. Ceylon (leaf) tea, no milk.

olliebeak Thu 06-May-21 13:34:57

First of all, it's Coffee and Medication (must be taken 20mins before food).

20mins later, it's a second Coffee with either 'Porridge and Honey' or 'Toast and Marmalade', so that I can take my Painkillers.

20mins later, it's ANOTHER Coffee .................. just because winkgrin.

Shelagh6 Thu 06-May-21 13:40:23

Grape Nuts and a slice of toast and coffee.

Shelagh6 Thu 06-May-21 13:40:59

......oh! And my 6 pills!

Crystal46 Thu 06-May-21 13:42:43

Peanut butter on toast. Yum.

Alioop Thu 06-May-21 13:45:50

Two slices of toast with jam and a cuppa. I always have two pancakes every morning, felt rebellious today

Cabbie21 Thu 06-May-21 14:17:48

Same every day, unless I am away.
Cup of tea in bed, then when I am downstairs, bowl of muesli and granola, lots of nuts and berries, with sometimes half a banana or pear sliced on top. Not much milk.
On the rare occasion when we are away in a Bn B, I will have everything, fruit juice, cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast, toast and marmalade.
