Bar, Tea Room, Spa, AB12 ....is there no end to our talents.
All are welcome to join in our virtual enterprise. ?

Doodle Wed 16-Jun-21 14:43:38

ixion Noooooo!!! Little cuddly Gnasher, Groper or Humfrey
Can’t end up on your dinner plate…………Alarma better mind her p’s and q’s though ??

AGAA4 Wed 16-Jun-21 16:31:26

Alarma has returned. She left her shoes and bows behind and can't do without them.

The llamas are far too useful to end up on the BBQ.

Has Vince examined Alarma yet? I saw Doodle taking him down to the cellar hours ago. As Alarma is outside I've no idea what they are doing.

Doodle Wed 16-Jun-21 17:59:01

I think we need to negotiate with Farmer Giles to buy the field.
Anyone got any experience of running a crèche? ??

Grandmabatty Wed 16-Jun-21 19:09:34

I don't want to alarma you, but they breed like rabbits. Alpaca bag and come to help

AGAA4 Wed 16-Jun-21 19:31:30

Would be good to have a baby llama here
If his dad is Groper we could call him Babygro.

ixion Wed 16-Jun-21 19:51:19

Has it been confirmed by Vince?
I still live in hope that Alarma is, in fact, a tubby boy with a penchant for all those accessories that National Trust policy advocates to welcome visitors.

Failing that, I really think that, like Adam's brood shire mare on Countyfile, she should be sent to a specialist centre for continuing ante and post natal care.

Meanwhile, we can worry about how to keep our lucrative business ventures afloat in future.

AGAA4 Wed 16-Jun-21 19:57:00

Gestation period for llamas is nearly a year so we don't need to worry yet.

Doodle Wed 16-Jun-21 20:08:23

Yes Alarma has convinced Vince she is expecting. She would like a nice comfortable bed, a baby shower, and to be excused rides for the foreseeable future.

I have acquired a small field from Farmer Giles which includes a barn where Alarma and the other llamas can sleep. We can use the field for llama rides.
grandmabatty you will be most welcome. Alarma requires a lot in one to one attention and we have our hands full with all the goings on in the Argy, tea room and AB12.
Alarma has asked if you have any references? ?

ixion Wed 16-Jun-21 20:12:21

So what are we going to 'do' with Gnasher?
Snip or steak?

AGAA4 Wed 16-Jun-21 20:15:31

Think we need to have a word with Alarma or she will be a pain in the backside for the next year.

Grandmabatty Wed 16-Jun-21 20:35:37

I can drink tequila without falling over?

AGAA4 Wed 16-Jun-21 20:44:50

You have impeccable references grandmabatty

Doodle Wed 16-Jun-21 20:56:30

Yes AGA very good references. You’re hired grandmabatty
I’m not actually sure Gnasher knows one end of Alarma from the other. Groper is too old and Humfrey is not inclined so he tells me. I think Alarma must have initiated things with Gnasher while he was full of poteen.
Apparently Alarma has always wanted to be a Mummy and has promised to be good ?

brook2704 Wed 16-Jun-21 21:26:15

Oh that’s excellent news congratulations Alarma ..a new baby llama to look forward to ?
We’ll need more bootees ixion ..

ixion Wed 16-Jun-21 22:07:38

This afternoon, I was browsing archive Argy activity, being a bit of a newbie.

Life at the Bar was so simple in those days.
sigh

brook2704 Wed 16-Jun-21 22:54:44

I’m quite new here too ixion .. no previous experience in The Argy
I’m still finding my feet which isn’t as easy as it sounds especially after a pint of the very best poteen

Doodle Wed 16-Jun-21 23:01:06

We could close all the business down if you like and just go back to the bar, the Admiral and the Captain if we can find the old sea dogs. ?

AGAA4 Thu 17-Jun-21 16:19:47

I have missed the old Argy Bar. Maybe it's time to bring it back as there are not as many regulars in there now. What do you all think?
I hope Alarma doesn't give grandmabatty a hard time. I have told the naughty little minx that nobody will be painting her hooves or spraying her with Chanel. We are only around to give her vitamins and making sure she rests.
She will be confined to the paddock maternity unit if she acts up.

Doodle Thu 17-Jun-21 17:23:39

I’m happy whatever you decide. We have been really busy with all the extras recently. If you’d all like to go back to the original Argy we could sell off the other businesses and spruce up the Argy a bit. Clean sawdust, new secondhand chairs. I’m easy (no ixion that is not what I meant ?)

AGAA4 Thu 17-Jun-21 17:31:45

We may even be able to buy glasses instead of the jam jars we use now.

brook2704 Thu 17-Jun-21 18:25:14

I’ve never experienced the original Argy so happy with whatever is decided ?

ixion Thu 17-Jun-21 19:08:50

Would I still have to clean the lavs?

Doodle Thu 17-Jun-21 19:21:53

ixion what can I say……yes ?. Although they would not have to be maintained to our current high standards.
I would like to keep our llamas in their field as I have grown quite attached to them. And the imminent arrival could be exciting.
I have heard today that the Captain in on a homeward voyage and looking forward to a booze up in his local. What do you think ?

AGAA4 Thu 17-Jun-21 19:42:13

Be good to have the captain back. The Admiral too.

AGAA4 Thu 17-Jun-21 19:46:19

The Argy wouldn't be the same without the llamas. They have to stay. All five of them.
