day time
and spend some of the money we have not been able to spend in the last few months.

I don't feel I have had choices taken away from me. I feel I have decided to follow what has seemed good advice from the various scientists - the do know more about it than I do and are prepared to say when they don't. If they sometimes seemed concerned about what Johnson intended I have generally waited until they didn't or things changed. At they moment various scientists - and some politicians - seem concerned. I don't see me changing anything very much from tomorrow; I will continue to make my own choices based on the facts available.

I’ve got a lovely week planned Tuesday work followed by second haircut after lockdown Wednesday work the morning then lunch inside a pub/restaurant with best friend Thursday work morning then opticians in the afternoon then Friday coffee and snack with a film afterwards with another close friend
Blimey I ll need a weekend rest after all that ?

Judy54 Sun 16-May-21 17:41:21

It will be lovely to dress up again for a meal out instead of lounging around the house in comfy clothes which I feel I have become to comfortable in!

Aveline Sun 16-May-21 17:38:11

It's been so nice just putting dates in the diary after months of blank pages.

AGAA4 Sun 16-May-21 17:12:13

I have been out to restaurants twice now. Outside of course. I have no plans for tomorrow but being able to go out and see family and friends again is wonderful.

Urmstongran Sun 16-May-21 16:54:40

Oh but isn’t it just wonderful from tomorrow to have choices again?
?
It’s been such a long time, living this half life. (albeit necessary).

Lunch out with friends booked for Tuesday & Wednesday, cinema seats booked for Friday evening followed by a meal out and tickets for an RHS garden booked for Saturday.

Mapleleaf Sun 16-May-21 16:37:12

Off to the dentist in the morning. That's about it as far as outings go tomorrow I think.

Greeneyedgirl Sun 16-May-21 16:18:08

Most money has been saved on holidays, especially travelling abroad and eating out I suspect. Some have cheered themselves up by on line purchases, me included, but modest outlay compared to holidays. (In my case anyway). It’s a self catering cottage for us this year. Am fairly cautious about hotels and restaurants for a few weeks, until it’s clear how the Indian variant is spreading.

Buffybee Sun 16-May-21 16:10:28

Lunch with my friend at our favourite restaurant on Wednesday.
I have managed to eat at outdoor venues with my family but dear friend feels the cold, so have only managed to meet twice in the last fourteen months.
Hopefully we’ll soon be back to our beloved theatres and fingers crossed, maybe a Uk holiday.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 16-May-21 16:04:06

Away for a few days,, but self catering, not confident about sharing premises at the moment. If the weather is fine we may have a meal in the open air but not indoors yet.

Witzend

Not sure we’ve saved anything, not on shopping, anyway. Given the number of Hermes and Royal Mail deliveries (not just mine either) it’s very likely more than we’d have spent in ‘proper’ shops. Mind you I’ve never enjoyed trawling the shops anyway.

We’ve def. saved on holidays, though.

Nothing planned for Monday, but we do have two meet-up-again lunches planned before the end of the month.?

Exactly the same here.

Aldom Sun 16-May-21 14:56:39

On Monday I am hoping that my new washing machine will be delivered. The old one broke down a week ago. Also, at some point tomorrow I have to collect my new glasses. After that, some food shopping as I have a visitor coming on Tuesday. I would like to take her out for lunch, but I don't think she will want to go to a restaurant just yet. We will, however go to our local garden centre.

I don’t feel the need to go anywhere or spend anything but I’m happy you’re free to do it.

Couldn't have put it better Tanith

It would seem that Eric Clapton the musician had a " disastrous reaction " to his first AZ jab, " which made him fear he'd never play music again ". So questions the safety of it.

EllanVannin Sun 16-May-21 14:15:03

S'alright Fanny, I've deleted a dozen grin

NannyJan53 Sun 16-May-21 14:10:55

We are off to Somerset on Monday to spend a few days in our caravan which is stored on a camp site there. Making sure all is ok, ready to go down the following week to tow it to Lyme Regis.

Fanny I hope you do not get too many after effects after your jab flowers

Bridie22 Sun 16-May-21 14:00:23

SusieB50 Sun 16-May-21 13:37:20

Last week I ventured on the train to see my sister for the first time since first lock down , we planned to sit outside under her Veranda. When came out of the station to walk the 20 minutes to her house , I suddenly decided to get a cab as I had a big bag of plant cuttings for her . I was glad I did - the cab driver said I was his first customer ( at 12 midday) poor man. If we can afford it let’s get out , spend and support all these people who have lost so much.

I am not going to do anything different tomorrow and have nothing booked. I have a birthday of my GS in 6 days so I will venture out during the week and get him a birthday present.

My 2 cousins and the children all went to the coast for a week
(that was last week) and they said that the weather was awful, they went to the beach on a couple of days and twice the big
windbreaker they put up took flight and blew away they made me laugh.
I am waiting until the weather improves before I do too much.

Galaxy Sun 16-May-21 12:49:53

grin sorry fanny that made me laugh.

FannyCornforth Sun 16-May-21 12:45:03

Thank you Blossoming

FannyCornforth Sun 16-May-21 12:44:22

EllanVanin
I do apologise. I appear to have pmed you. Fifteen times...

Galaxy Sun 16-May-21 12:25:14

I think be kind is irrelevant in every aspect here. Going out for a nice meal with friends is not really being kind and not doing it is not being unkind.
