I can see that for Harry there is a lot of stuff in his life and his father's life that would seem to fit in with that philosophy and of course talking about it is part of making the journey.

I don't understand how or why inflicting pain on others helps anyone on their journey to self-understanding and becoming a better, more empathetic, fulfilled person as a result.
That is a generalisation, btw and would apply to anyone who lashed out publicly about their family who may have made mistakes (who doesn't) but who still love them.
