I was so saddened by the interview with harry and megan , why would two people who have got exactly what they wanted are happy to create such pain for others

Boz Sun 16-May-21 17:16:53

The sad fact is he has little talent for Show Business! It is all the missus knows so I suppose it was inevitable he would be pushed in that direction but he has not the savvy or intelligence to survive in that hard spotlight. Give it up lad.

SueDonim Sun 16-May-21 17:21:07

Harry speaks often about compassion. Does he practise what he preaches?

NanaandGrampy Sun 16-May-21 17:32:07

Is it only me who wonders who is advising them after the announcement of Meghan's latest 'job' with Proctor and Gamble?

The companies biggest seller in the Asian and African markets is a cream to make you whiter - pushing it as being desirable to lighter skinned.

It seems unbelievably stupid to think a woman of colour would be associated with a company that sells products like these.

She either didn't do her research or the dollar speaks louder than her principles.

Couldn’t he talk to a therapist in private trisher ?
Well, we know that he could, there’s no need to do all his therapy ‘on air’.

But part of these therapies is that you are open and honest about things lemonand you share your experiences

But part of these therapies is that you are open and honest about thingslemonand you share your experiences.

Im guessing the sharing aspect is so that you can let go of the past? So going forward do you completely re invent who you are?

lemsip Sun 16-May-21 18:09:26

harry didn't know he was unhappy till he met meghan and she told him!

trisher Sun 16-May-21 18:17:34

I think many of the comments on this thread vividly illustrate the difference between English and American attitudes to therapy and those who undergo it.

A 12 year old walking behind his mother’s coffin without a hand hold or hug is pretty dysfunctional behaviour in my book. If he is emotionally damaged his upbringing undoubtedly made a contribution to it.

I lost one of my parents at the same age as Harry. My siblings didn't want to attend the funeral so didn't. I did want to and was allowed to. Children shouldn't be forced but they should have the option.

I wonder if Harry would be complaining now if William had be allowed to walk with his father, grandfather and uncle and Harry had been left at home?

Anniebach Sun 16-May-21 18:21:01

But surely sharing experiences doesn’t mean sharing with the world ?

Msida Sun 16-May-21 18:22:32

Well Harry is the rebel because he feels like the spare

But he and his Mrs are selfish and self centred

I mean compare him with his brother for eg

William has tried his best to be supportive and be there for the people of Britain as has his wife

Harry has stamped his feet looking for attention /money and has cared less about the British public who have kept him in the luxury that he has enjoyed

Strip them of their titles because they don't want them

I hope they stay over there in America because they are of absolute no use to us

And if anyone.. You know who you are.. Tells me I have spelt something wrong I won't be responsible for the answer I will give to that comment

There.. All off my chest.. Walking away dusting off my hands smile)

Msida Sun 16-May-21 18:25:21

lemsip so funny.. Harry didn't know he was depressed til Megan told him he was Made me laugh!! ??

Galaxy Sun 16-May-21 18:33:20

William is of no use to me either. I had no idea he was supposed to be.

Msida Sun 16-May-21 18:34:18

And another thing, why moan at her it's her right to post what she likes when she likes, if you don't like it don't read it it's simple..

Yet his brother urge him to get treatment, before Meghan came on the scene. This is what he said for a biography, back when they got engaged. He’s got a selective memory. I don’t know I’m even engaging in this thread, except that is a very boring day today. ??

“Absolutely not,” he replied. “She (Meghan - my addition) had nothing to do with it.” It was, he said, his brother Prince William who had convinced him his mental health needed attention. “At first I didn’t listen,” he added. “The time wasn’t right and like many others, I don’t like to do what my older brother says.” In the end, though, he took his advice and added how grateful he was for the help.

Aveline Sun 16-May-21 18:42:52

lemsip- sums up the situation perfectly grin

Grany Sun 16-May-21 18:47:24

The institution of monarchy is corrupt, above the law, secretive, unaccountable

Harry says he's seen how the business model works and wants no part of it.

Royal family spending public money day in/out week in/out on their own private interests.

They work from 500 or less hours over the whole year that works out at most two months a year 'work' giving them plenty of time to persue their own interests.

EllanVannin Sun 16-May-21 19:00:01

How has this fun-loving young man who'd enjoyed his life in the forces, who once worked hard, played hard and generally enjoyed life with his drinking/ smoking pals suddenly end up the wet-wipe he is today ? The change is dramatic.
People don't just change overnight.

If he was a female people would be up in arms talking about coercive control.

merlotgran Sun 16-May-21 19:00:43

Harry says he's seen how the business model works and wants no part of it.

Well, he would wouldn't he now the money is no longer flowing in his direction and they have to support themselves?

Lollin Sun 16-May-21 19:09:45

Queen’s cousin, Prince Michael of Kent accused of selling access to Vladimir Putin last Sunday.
Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, still not resolved.
But yet another chat started on M&H.

FannyCornforth Sun 16-May-21 19:16:00

Ellan you are absolutely spot on re coercive control.
(Apologies - I can't remember now whether I am not allowed to comment on this thread; or in order to support freedom of speech, must comment on it...)

Anniebach Sun 16-May-21 19:23:36

FannyCornforth you are allowed to comment on the topic of this thread as we all are, and earnshaw is allowed to start a thread on the topic

FannyCornforth Sun 16-May-21 19:29:23

Ah, I know Annie. I was just being daft I suppose.
I do get tired of earnshaws threads though; so repetitive and they never return. But I'm certainly no fan of Harry.

You could always start a thread about the other two Royals if you want to Lollin.
As for yet another chat started on M&H.....
This discussion has been the top thread for most of today, so people must still want to discuss M&H.
If M&H keep having their Oprah interviews and Dax Shepard Podcasts then we should be free to discuss what they have said.

Galaxy Sun 16-May-21 19:36:47

I wish GN s search function bloody worked as well.

Alegrias1 Sun 16-May-21 19:39:38

People will write theses about this in the future....

Worldwide pandemic; Gaza in flames; India in crisis; little boys die in gas explosions.

GN top thread : posh bloke and his wife upset the Queen (allegedly)
