Kate, you are naughty, but not as naughty as me. I have just discovered a designer outlet site called Otrium, bought a Sandwich dress on Friday evening at a quarter of the original price and came home to find it in the greenhouse last night!
I'm proud to say, the last time spoke to Kalu, I had led her astray into buying some items from that site. Enjoy your breakfast, I hope you have your thermals on. ?

Good morning from Kent where the sun is shining but still a bit chilly.
DH is coming here for lunch then taking me home later.
Yesterday we went clothes shopping at the request of DGD1. She is nearly 13 but very petite and struggles a bit to find clothes to fit. In the afternoon we managed a spell in the garden between showers, 3 year old DGD loves to be pushed on the swing.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx

I have woken up in Staithes in a holiday house. We are with 2 of our sons including one up from London, who we hadn't seen since last July. Great to see him and catch up.Dry but cool start to the day. Not sure what the forecast is. Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Good morning all from a bright, not too chilly Essex. ?.

We will plant out the sunflowers that the GC sowed in pots a while back. 8 in all. The local GC can take theirs home but we forgot to give the two that live at a distance theirs, so we will plant them for them to see when they visit next. ??. The wind knocked the pots off the wall so I hope they are strong enough to survive.

Yesterday DH went off to a local football match. He usually goes with DS1 but he had a family do to go to. FIL’s birthday. Anyway I had a phone message to say DH had fallen over . We only have one car so had to phone DS to go and pick him up. He was fine and said he just stumbled back into a bush and couldn’t get up. He seems to have lost the muscle strength in his legs. He really needs a good MOT from the doc as lots of things just aren’t right ??.

Little DGD went with her mum to see Peter Rabbit 2 . She wanted to go there on the bus and back on the train. Only 4 stops. I met them at the station as I live just two minutes away. She was full of her wonderful afternoon out just with mum. ?.

Not much on today. I’ve just finished watching The Pact on I player. Very good drama , excellent acting and storyline. I might watch an episode or two of Mare of Eastown. Kate Winslet playing an American cop. She’s very good.

Wishing you all a peaceful, relaxing day. ?

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow.

An easy day planned, after yesterday's lunch visit to DS2's new home. An early morning visit to Asda to collect a parcel, virtual Mass and the Sunday papers later in the conservatory are the plan for the day Lettuce need transplanting, but I don't know if I have the energy.
By the way ladies, I have returned James, I much prefer more mature men! ?

Because we enjoyed ourselves so much at DS', we didn't arrive back unti till late. This was the first time I have driven with back seat drivers passengers and impatient boy racers, overtaking me in well over a year, so I was a bit nervous to say the least!
It's my yellow car, which gives the impression that I am a doddery old lady driver. If only they knew. ?

Lunch included home made pizza from DS's new outdoor pizza oven. I am in lust! ???????
It was a tad chilly, but I sat in the garden, supervising chatting to DS, while he cooked. It was lovely to have him all to myself, as I have had some concerns about MrMD recently.
The best part of the day, was them announcing that they had booked their wedding the day before and we were the first to know!

I was a bit worried about how DD would react, as this was the venue she had booked for her postponed reception after her garden wedding last year. It had been postponed again due to Covid and she abandoned her plans.
It transpired that she had already had a word with my DD and his fiancée, giving her blessing, transferring deposits for kilts etc., knowing that my future DIL loved that venue. She also suggested that I wear the unworn outfit from her wedding, rather than buy another one. What a lovely daughter she is.

This the wedding venue, a former Baptist church, run as a charity to preserve it and coincidently, where DS had his university graduation ceremony. It was built by the Coats family, ( the famous Anchor thread company) as a memorial to their late father) Perfect choice.

Redhead, I've noticed you on other threads, but not this one, so welcome! I too am feisty redhead, ? although the flames have died down somewhat.

Wishing you all a pleasant day my dear friends and hoping those who are struggling, have had a restful and pain free night. ?

Good morning all from Kelso. I'm having a lovely time and I have been spoiled by my friends. Yesterday we wandered around the town. There was a farmer's market and some nice shops and the abbey remains to take in with lunch in a hotel. Then we walked through woods alongside the river Teviot. Later was board games. Today we are going to Born in the Borders for breakfast then a run to Jedburgh or Melrose before tidying up to go home. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from grey but threatening to be bright Harrogate. So much to do, so little time! I shall have to start getting the spare bedroom ready for occasional visitors. DH has turned it into a dumping ground. The shower room too needs a good clean - that’s my aim this week. DD2 is suggesting she stays one night next weekend when I also have DGS overnight. Then my sister is coming next month for a spell. It will all need decobwebbing.
I should have been going to church this am, but since I have been coughing decided it will be unwise to go and will have to be content with virtual church.
I’m looking forward to a little ☀️ today and maybe some ? flamingoes ?
It will be a roast ham joint today for a meal.
Have as good a day as you can folk!

kittylester Sun 23-May-21 07:39:24

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire where there is rain in the forecast, again!!

We are off to Hemel Hempstead to see DD2, one of my favourite sons in law and 2 of our gorgeous DGD. And, we are going out for lunch!!!

Oh, the excitement!

Jaxjacky Sun 23-May-21 07:34:34

Good morning Mick and all from a sun/high cloud S Hants @ 6deg, rain due this afternoon. End of the premiership football season this afternoon, all games kick off at 4 and it’s the end of the Super6 (a Sky predictor game). We shall be in the pub crowning the winner of our pub Super6 crew, gammon in the slow cooker. I can’t believe the heating is still on and we’re wearing jumpers, a year ago we were in the 20’s.
Enjoy your day all, thoughts with those poorly, recovering or just fed up. ????.

Go for the frock (I love that word) Mattie. A summer frock ?

Good morning all from another overcast day in the Black country. DH managed to cut the back lawn before it rained yesterday. Front desperately needs doing but not dry enough through lack of sun. Will go for walk later need to post some letters. Roast lamb for dinner my favourite.
Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday.

Beechnut Sun 23-May-21 07:17:39

Good Morning everyone from a dry Severnside.

A good day for me yesterday. My diy shop was successful and I was able to get masonry paint in the colour I wanted. I then thought I’d see if I could get some cherry tomato plants at the nursery nearest me. I decided on two pots and when I planted them later I found one pot had two plants in it. I also bought six runner bean plants. That should be enough for me. I now have to see if I’ve some sticks/canes.

I had SOAP for dinner then went out to mow the lawn. I’ve almost done ‘no mow May’. Looks better and will look even better when I trim the bit by the path with the lawn edge tool.

It’s lovely to see everyone having longed for meet ups with their families. Long may it continue. On that note enjoy your day all ??

NanKate Sun 23-May-21 07:15:49

Morning Mick and All.

Cool with a little sun here in West Berkshire where we are on a short break.

Our trip to Marlborough went well and I bought some socks from Seasalt, leggings from Lands End and lovely stretchy trousers from Mistral. Marydoll would be proud of me. ?

Not sure what we are up to today but our lovely hosts have invited us to an alfresco breakfast. Glad I bought my winter coat.

Have the best day you can folks.

harrigran Sun 23-May-21 07:06:02

Good morning from an overcast but dry NE.
DS, DIL and GD2 visited yesterday afternoon and showed us the photographs of GD driving round the race track. She was disappointed not to be able to go on the adult track, you have to be 14, she is 11 but is head and shoulders taller than her classmates.
Quiet day today, asked DD to visit tomorrow rather than have visitors two days running.

mancgirl Sun 23-May-21 07:05:47

Good morning from a bright but very cool Ullapool. We went to Durness yesterday. The scenery is breathtaking with yellow gorse lining the road in many places. The beach at Durness is amazing! Blue sea, blue sky, we could have been in the Caribbean. I could hardly tear myself away. On the way back we stopped at Kylesku hotel for a drink overlooking the Loch. We had a full day of sun but still chilly. Off to stay over at Loch Lomond before going on our way home tomorrow. Have a good day everyone. Hugs for those with extra cares and worries and flowersfor those struggling with health.

Gagagran Sun 23-May-21 07:01:22

Morning all from a sunny south coast but only 5.0c. Forecast is for more wind and rain late afternoon/evening. Oh joy.

Had a nothing sort of day yesterday and suspect another is on the way and I am feeling a complete lack of oomph.

Hope the day is a good one for us all despite that.

Dwmxwg Sun 23-May-21 06:49:06

Good morning, sunshine here in north Surrey.
DS’s team won yesterday so much celebrations were had, he is hoping to get a ticket for the play off final next week. I enjoyed my time with the girls, keeping them amused whilst the men watched the footie.
Today we have mum and dad coming for roast dinner.
Wishing all a lovely Sunday

grandMattie Sun 23-May-21 06:42:33

Oh, and Urms and others, I have just finished a charming book called “Pomegranate Soup”, which you might like to try. Lots of lovely recipes are included as a bonus.

Ashcombe Sun 23-May-21 06:36:12

Good morning, everyone from an overcast Crewe, where I have two more days left of my stay.

Yesterday remained dry for the football party for DGS2, celebrating his recent 11th birthday but it was cold! ?I was treated like HM Queen with a blanket round my knees as I sat on the veranda of the clubhouse! Afterwards, the sausage/ fish and chips delivery was delicious and most welcome, soon eagerly devoured by both players and spectators alike!

I hope any worries are resolved and those in pain find relief. Enjoy the day of rest! ✝️

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 23-May-21 06:33:39

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a dry but nippy VOWH.

It’s good growing weather...........

Not much on today, DD2 still recovering from op, her dog also recovering from an op and wearing a cone, so she sits with her back to us and won’t be tempted to forgive us!

Methinks porridge for breakfast , a good roast dinner, then a decent film, heating still on of course
Have a good Sunday and hugs for those who aren’t so chipper today.

Redhead56 Sun 23-May-21 06:31:06

Good morning it’s rare for me to be up this early these days. My DD and DGD are staying here for a visit first time since lockdown started so long ago. It’s very dull and miserable weather here will have to make the best of it. Time for me to put the kettle on tea toast and Marmite.

grandMattie Sun 23-May-21 06:30:05

Good morning all GraMmingos from a dry bright E Kent. It is wonderful to see the sun after yesterday, which grey col and wet, culminating in a spectacular hailstorm in the early evening.
Virtual church today. There is a change in that service as there will be people attending! They are going from only a live-streamed service to one with actual parishioners, having just the one service rather than two!
I am now assembling my patchwork squares and thinking about the next one - or perhaps making myself a frock...
Roast chicken tonight. A small chicken does us about 4-5 days. I need to be inventive.
Hope you all enjoy the ☀️ Sunshine today. ?????

Kim19 Sun 23-May-21 06:17:34

Hello Michael and all who follow. Don't think it was nice enough here up north to be described as even Autumnal. My suspicion is it is somewhat similar right now. Ugh! Enjoy your sunshine. I'm envious but I have some woodwork painting ahead so perhaps that'll keep me occupied and my mind off the weather. That's the plan! Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

FannyCornforth Sun 23-May-21 06:15:45

Good morning Mick and all from me in a very nippy, but bright and sunny Derby.
Wishing everyone a very happy Sunday, whatever you are up to.

Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken up to a clear blue sky and sunshine here in Brackley this morning.
Yesterdays trip out was just Bicester via Buckingham , the weather seemed more like Autumn yesterday than spring.
Today , have my lunch followed with cycling on TV as the drama in Italy unfolds .
Take Care,
Mick
