Voluceau looks to be the same (I held my photo on the phone next to your photo on the I-pad) but the name doesn’t ring a bell JaxJ.
Definitely not your pretty Rebecca - she is more of a dark pink shade.
How do you hang your washing out?
I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

Good afternoon dear kitcheners. Some beautiful ? flowers there Puzzler and JaxJacky. Soop I do hope that horrid uti is receding and you are feeling a bit better. Breakfast at our local garden centre with DD1 - a lovely start to the day ?. Pasta rustica is on the menu tonight courtesy of Mr BA and Simply Cook - a great favourite of ours. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening and sending gentle virtual hugs to all in need of a little comfort ?
Hello the kitchen it’s been raining all day here! Come back ?
Hope your feeling a bit better Soop take care. Kitty are you enjoying the lager?
We have dancing foxes in our close. For the last few nights we have heard them.
In the morning found a red leotard a pink ballet cardigan and an orange top!!!
How fabulous, little Flouncing Foxes! Reminds me of an area where a good friend lives in Sussex : at one stage a couple of summers ago whole streets had to post Facebook photos of odd sandals or shoes which might be reunited with their other halves. They'd been left on terraces and porches overnight by their owners and redistributed by foxes. Wonder what it is they love so much about shoes and items of clothing?
Poor soop - keep watching loads of tennis and try to drink enough fluid to help all those drugs work. UTI's should be abolished, they're so hateful and debilitating. Feel better soon.
Such a 'truism' from your Mum, Maw. We're all doomed - never to be totally free from worry and responsibility whether they're 3 or 63 ! Children should essentially carry a Government Health Warning. Bet that little Rosie, (pictured on another thread) never had children. She needs no lessons in relaxation does she? And why do your dogs never seem to completely fit onto their luxurious selection of beds? I owned a Great Dane - and they're really tidy sleepers. None of this legs akimbo malarkey. ?
Beautiful flowers on here. I am waiting for my Clematis to arrive, with great excitement. Only the 3rd nursery I have placed an order with, hopefully not the 3rd one to announce that they actually won't have any plants until September. Started my day badly - needing to tear a very large strip from 2 workmen (not mine) who suddenly decided it might be a super wheeze to park their truck in my drive under my trees. How nice! I never mind if people say they're sorry, I just won't tolerate being taken for an idiot and lied to. They were quite taken aback to receive the full blast of an irate Englishwoman in the right......or, as my DH would say, "I wouldn't push your luck if I were you". This afternoon we had a small thunderstorm after my large one this morning. It's very hot here today and the shower which forced us in from the garden necessitated the consumption of another Magnum (to soothe my nerves?).
I shall ignore all comments about specially flavoured gins - which we can't get here, sadly - and Jereboams, my Magnum is merely (harmless?) ice cream on a stick.
Enjoy your evenings and take special care, every lovely Kitchener.
Some beautiful garden pictures today, I love the vibrant colours!
Just back from our walk today, a lovely day walking in the hills on the south side of Loch Ness and a picnic by the lochside. It’s been a bit cloudy this afternoon but no rain for quite a few days now - so all’s good ?
I’m going to get showered soon and relax for the evening probably, no definitely with a large glass of wine ?
I hope you’re feeling a bit better soop and you’ve been enjoying watching the tennis
Sounds like you’re having a similar dinner to us tonight BA pasta for us too - nice and quick and easy!
Have a good evening everyone
Those foxes sound very mischievous yia! Wonder what they’re up to ??? ?
Gorgeous photographs. Marvellous colours. Such a treat.
I have watched plenty of tennis. I continue to mute the irritating adverts. Thankfully the discomfort is waning. I am continuing to drink plenty of fluids. Therefore, my exercise routine in the main consists of a multitude of trips to the bathroom. You wanted to know that fact, admit it.
Fish and chips tonight. Yay! At nine o,clock, I shall sip a wee G&T with ice and a slice of lime. Simple pleasures!
Please continue to take very good care of yourselves. I intend joining you again tomorrow.

After lots of dry, hot days, it's rained here in Cambs., today.
From an overcast morning, to a few drops, & onto a steady rain this afternoon.
Just after I'd ordered a couple of dresses to wear in the heat..!!
Lovely photos of flowers, JaxJacky & Puzzler.
I do like to see all your photos, I'm not able to post any, I must learn.!
I hope you are feeling better soop. enjoy the tennis.
Take Care, All.
I woke up to a horrid, rainy morning but now the sun is trying to peep out. Not great weather for June.
Glad to hear your UTI is improving Soop.
How lovely to see that you are starting to feel a little better soop.
UTIs are such beastly things.( I’m glad and somewhat envious that you had such an enjoyable visit from your son and his partner. I hope plenty of hugs were included in amongst the enjoyable chat.
I’ve been hoping against hope that DD1 and husband might be able to get out here in July, they have had their tickets booked for two years now but the latest news is not looking good. The daft thing is that certainly in our area, the infection rates are very low and if one believes what you see on news programmes and social media, people here are being far more careful than those in England. I’m keeping my fingers crossed ?,it’s all I can do really.
Sympathy to Soop, delighted by Muse’s news, and charmed by the photographs. If I knew how to post photographs I could show off with a couple of clematis which came with the garden so names unknown.
We have enjoyed a cup of tea with our next door neighbours and two other friends, and are stimulated by the view of a different garden. Their other next door neighbours’ children had the paddling pool out and were having such a happy time - I really enjoy the sound of children playing outside - I think that my future pension will be in good hands!
Sounds like you had a lovely time GrannySomerset. I'm having a little gin and tonic. Tea was sirloin steak, a baked potato with sour cream and (home grown) chives and a salad with a homemade french dressing. The magpies are trying to dig up my lettuces so a net will be needed. But that's for tomorrow.
Sounds like you’re having a lovely time too Grandmabatty (except for those destructive magpies). You’ll definitely need to cover the lettuces tomorrow ?
Good times for all, I like the idea of thespian foxes dahling each other! Pleased to hear, hopefully, the Unwelcome Tortuous Irritant is subsiding soop
MrJ had his second jab today and I went out to buy two tomato plants for the hanging basket, oops, bought a melon and err a few other veg plants, but they were on a sale price guv!
DD text she and DG’s have had a lovely day at the Motor Museum today, with a curry on the way home. Picture is of the eldest under the wisteria arch. Have a good evening all x
Hello kitcheners! Sorry I haven’t been posting, it’s been such a busy week. I do try and read your news though. Today I have had my first haircut since February 2020, no colour as I’m letting it grow and there are some lovely silver shades coming through. Soop as promised here’s a photo, it doesn’t do the colours justice. I’m going grey and I love it!
It’s several kilos lighter and I want to keep swishing
Blossoming that's a lovely photo. You look gorgeous.
Beautiful hairstyle, beautiful you, Blossoming.
Beautiful blossoming such a lovely photo
‘Evening All’.
We’ve had a gorgeous hot day in our neck of the woods. We’ve just got in from babysitting. Mum & dad had time out from 4pm and got in at 8pm. Himself took the boy wonder to cricket and I bathed lil miss. She is so cute and nothing gets past her - she is very observant for a littlie!
Blossoming you are attractive and your hairstyle really suits you! Enjoy the swishing.
Glad to hear you’re up to a G&T about now soop. That’s good news. ?
I’m off to write in my diary/journal. After 32y of doing this I’ve decided this is to be my last one. I’m going to keep this one for posterity so am putting a bit more detail into it so that (hopefully) in time to come it will be more interesting to look back over!
Hope we all have a peaceful night ahead. x
Lovely hairstyle Bossoming.
Dear soop, I hope you enjoyed that G&T, I’ve had a glass of wine, or two.
Urms I bet your journal makes interesting reading. Do you hope that in the fullness of time your grandchildren will read it?
You look lovely Blossoming and that’s a beautiful pic Jaxjacky.
I’m thinking so dustyangel. Their personalities, funny asides get a mention quite often this year. I’m mindful of this one being found and read by anyone in the family so I’m curating it more mindfully than I have done with others over the years! I shall read those myself over the course of time before destroying them all. I did rather bare my soul over stuff some years! And when our girls were teenagers with friends - that was ‘full on’ sometimes. I wouldn’t go back to all that for a gold clock!
??
Thank you for your lovely comments, this kitchen is such a warm and friendly place
Blossoming, I apologise for getting your name wrong, blame it on the glass (or two) of wine, your hair is lovely. Night night folks.
I could have sworn I posted in here yesterday, but there`s nowt there, so I mustn`t have.
Ouch, triple ouch Anno. You`re very brave, I won`t even go near a dead wasp, I have such a phobia about them. I hope the pain has subsided by now.
Brook, not all that clever really, where Soop lives is my very favourite part of the UK, ever since we discovered the area in 2006. At a guess, I`d say the 3rd pic was across the road from Soop`s house.
Doodle, you deserve a medal for all that time in a dentist`s chair, I `ve not been near one for well over 30 years, I`m so scared of them! I`d have a dozen babies first!
I`m really looking forward to my Afternoon Tea treat tomorrow. At least, if Boris orders another lockdown, I`ll have had one meal out.
Has anyone ever had a cat that didn`t miaow? We`ve had Billy for 3 weeks and 3 days now, and the only sound from him has been very loud purring, not a single miaow.
I meant to ask you Soop, did Matt and his lady get to see Fern, if so, what did they think? Does Matt share your passion for pussy cats?
I`m currently drinking, but hating, a mug of coffee, because I forgot to put sugar in, and am too idle to get up and go back to the kitchen, but it`s horrible!
Oh, nearly forgot, welcome to Rambling Rose, pleased to meet you.
