Good Morning Everyone,
Looking like another dry day here in brackley this morning .
Yesterday , was an interesting day for me , I went Buckingham and then Bicester , returning to Buckingham later .
Had a wonder through the flea market , my usual cafe was closed for the day so went and ate elsewhere , anyway tow things happened whilst there.
The first was a Stagecoach double decker bus on the X5 Bedford to Oxford run , it was in the new Stagecoach livery , but also carried a name on the front and entrance to the bus of local hero or national hero " Captain Sir Tom Moore" on it
the second was seeing someone who lives in one of the villages close to Buckingham , who I have not seen for over 18 months , once recognising her I put my hand up to her as like we used to .
Take care,
Mick

Well spotted fatgran! Quite a few weren’t pensionistas!

P.s. I’ve chosen what seems to be a very praising novel on my Kindle! I’m straight into it, no problem. For the readers amongst us it’s ‘The Four Winds’ by Kristin Hannah. Set in Texas in 1921. She wrote ‘The Nightingale’ which I read a few years ago and would wholeheartedly recommend. A story of French Resistance during WW2.

Meant ‘promising’. Huh!

Have read "The Nightingale" Urmstongran and really enjoyed it. Will look at this one.

Have you “Burial Rites” by Hannah Kent, Urms? Takes place in Iceland. It was fascinating.

Ooh, no I haven’t grandmattie - thanks for the recommend. I will upload on my Kindle now to read as my next book.

I love reading. Better than tv any day (although every now and again I do watch something really good but I also swerve a lot of dross - soaps, quiz shows, reality tv). Good job we are all different in our likes and dislikes otherwise life would be boring!

Don’t think you’ll be disappointed Grandmajean. ?
