Good Morning Monday 13th September 2021
(62 Posts)Morning Mick and all who follow. I'm still in London enjoying my little venture back into holiday world. Currently listening to seagulls skwalking, police cars wailing, trains arriving and departing and loving the contrast until I return to my tranquil life back north in a few days.
Good Morning everyone from a dry Severnside. I am hoping it stays dry as I have a tradesman coming this morning and house openings have been requested on the letter.
I spent a lovely day with Beechnutella yesterday at a Country Fair where we saw lots of nice things and I bought a bag. I did get upset when she gave me some news about someone I am fond of.
I hope everyone’s day will be as good as can be and that your DH is feeling warmer harrigran with his supplies from home.
?
Good morning from a gently damp south Cornwall where I dreamt my son had made a full size horse from iron and I was admiring it, when I woke up. It was a beauty. It's semi dark out but the mirrors on my patio wall are reflecting the sky. Revived a wasp yesterday with a saucer of sugar water. Hopefully it won't bring its family back to thank me. No idea what today holds, maybe a boat trip for the sea air. Have the best day you can.
Good morning from a grey Somerset not a lot happening here today .
Had a lovely day yesterday celebrating out DGS1 birthday
Thoughts to all who are feeling under the weather or have troubles ?
Take care and have a good day
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is wet☔️
Alzarin your garden looks lovey.
Off to work shortly, we are fairly quiet at the moment. I have to take my DGC to view their new nursery tomorrow and purchase the DGS new uniform! I am so excited for him.
We, DH, DD DSiL and the children are all off on holiday on Friday down to SiL family caravan. I hope DD and SiL don’t do lots of ‘debating’ as they call it, I call it arguing? they have been warned!!!
Have a good day folks and keep smiling ?
Good morning, everyone, from a chilly start in Sarthe.
grandMattie: I’ve been in contact with all three of my children over the weekend and followed your thoughtful recommendation to tell them I love them. They were very saddened to hear of the loss you are suffering. Holding you in my thoughts and prayers. ?
harrigran: I do hope your DH is warm and fed now. It must be so hard for him and you when visiting isn’t permitted.
Thank you for the warm-hearted comments about DGD''s specialist ballet session which she loved, being particularly inspired by a workshop on extemporisation with an ex-member of the Royal Ballet. She will have much to share with her regular dance teacher later today. Like others here, I would have liked to have taken ballet lessons but my parents couldn’t afford it on top of the piano lessons I was already having.
DH continues to improve with much less pain now, I’m relieved to say. We are certainly over the worst, I feel.
Have as good a week as possible with light shining in those dark tunnels that some are travelling along, like the light in Alizarin’s mirrors! A novel idea! ??☀️
Good morning! Not such a good day yet, but we plug on.
Thank you all for telling your children you love them. No doubt there must have been some very surprised people! ? You have been so kind, my online family. Thank you ?
We are up and down, crying and laughing, many lovely reminiscences. Life will get better.
Love well. Catch those flamingoes ❤️?❤️?❤️????
Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry and cool.
Spent time yesterday cleaning a buggy which has been in DD’s garage for several years so we can pass it on to DS whose little one’s buggy has bitten the dust. I’m hoping the smell of vinegar will have disappeared this morning.
Today will be a bit of this and that, dog walking and some shopping then I must try to get back to my crochet which I put aside to get on with other things.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day. ??
Good morning everyone from Malaga where we have a forecast of 28°C with light rain ☔️ and a gentle breeze. The afternoon looks to be dry though so I think we will head out somewhere, maybe on the train, later.
Enjoy Monday all who can. x
Good Morning from grey East Yorkshire.
Grandmattie my heart goes out to you and can’t imagine the pain in your heart.
Yesterday we spent a lovely morning with grandson and took him to the park before dropping him home. Then DH and I went for lunch to a place we've had drinks many times but not food. We were there last weekend and saw people having a Sunday lunch and it looked so delicious - that’s why we tried it. Boy it didn’t disappoint. It was so tasty and a very good choice of veg came with it. It’s my birthday in a couple of weeks and are thinking of going there for my birthday meal as we enjoyed it so much.
Later in the afternoon DH went to ds bar to watch his team play so I got a couple of hours peace ?
Today nothing much planned I am just catching up with housework etc.
Thinking of everyone with ills and worries ?
Take care.
Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast ☁ Northampton.
Had a good walk yesterday around the village scarecrow festival admiring the handiwork and imagination put into the displays. Will find some photos later. Then back to a friend's for coffee and a chat.
Yoga this morning, then change the beds; need to put clean sheets etc on the beds the DGDs will be using at the weekend. Then a quiet afternoon starting my new book.
Take care all.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a light blue sky with some sunshine forecast for later
I’m off to the gym this morning for the Aqua class, then I’ll be doing a bit of shopping in the nearby retail park. We’ve workmen in the garden this week so I’ll be leaving DH in charge of that and staying out of the way I think
Lovely to see you on here grandMattie sending ? and ???
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning all and it’s a bit of this and that in the sky here in Essex. ⛅️.
Yesterday DS1 invited us round for an afternoon cuppa. We only stayed an hour as it was a busy household. DIL ironing uniforms, DS preparing their roast dinner, dgd2 doing maths homework and gd3 snoozing on the sofa after a sleepover at her friends . A globe in the garden party. ?.
Today I have my Chiming group with the U3A. We make music with these strange looking instruments, have a lot of fun and a coffee and cake to follow, . Then I’m off to my hairdressers for a restyle. ?. I’ve decided not to have my hair coloured anymore and my natural is now creamy/white,. It took a bit of getting used to as I’ve always been a red head.
grandMattie - lovely to hear from you. Keep ‘plugging on’
Can’t imagine how you’re coping ?
Wishing you all a gentle day. ????
Good morning from an overcast Leicestershire. Hope we get a little rain as the garden needs it.
Nothing planned today except our usual trot round the block.
Then will start my book club book Towards the Within.
Hoping everyone has a good day and thinking of those with pain and suffering.
Lovely post GrandMattie It is wonderful and so right that you and your family are able to laugh, cry and no doubt talk about Philip.
Dull here in Cheshire but it was forecast.
Trip to Waitrose for top up essentials - chocolate and sherry ! I think I'm the only person in the country who likes a glass of sherry.
Some photos of scarecrows at the weekend's village festival. The theme was fantasy and fairy tales.
GrandmaJeanyou’re not alone - we love a glass of Sherry too!
Good morning Mick and all his followers. Light clouds in Suffolk so it may clear later.
We were out for lunch on both days over the weekend so it’s back to normal today. Up early to take one car to the garage - the bonnet release cable has gone so that needs sorting out.
We did a quick hour’s tidying in the garden yesterday, to make the most of the green bin and I hope to do some more today with the empty bin.
Only two more days of dog sitting, then she goes home and the cat can return from the cattery. Poor chap has spent quite a while there this year but he’s safely away from this lurcher’s teeth!
As I type, the sun is breaking through! I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a dreary damp South Yorkshire. Yesterday we watched GS play football with his team. It was a good game but sadly they lost. DH has yet another dental appointment today to find out why two lots of antibiotics has not got to the bottom of the pain in his tooth and his face. It is improved but it just won’t go away. It’s his birthday tomorrow so I shall make him a cake today. Other than that, not a lot going on here.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from an overcast Colchester. Forecast to be dry but cooler.
Laundry and shopping today. It's like painting the Forth bridge!
DH is organising the "stuff" to go in his new shed, so hopefully we'll keep out of each others way.
Love to all x
Another good morning from S Lanarkshire, cloudy and still. A lovely afternoon yesterday with DD1, DSiL and DGD, including an after lunch walk in lovely countryside. Nice to see DGD’s prize certificate, it was for commitment to study. Her school gives prizes for character development, service etc which I think is a very good approach.
Off this afternoon to after school duties with two youngest grandchildren and then home. I will probably have to start staying over before too long as I don’t like driving in the dark now.
Wishing everyone a good day ???
Good Morning. A cold start here in the Scottish Borders. I waved DB onto a bus this morning for his long journey home to Denmark. We have had a wonderful week together.
I am glad you are able to comfort eachother grandMattie but such sorrow, I can't imagine.
I hope the week brings more joys than sorrows for all .
Good morning all from an overcast S Hants. Daisytwoshoes we’re heading your way later today, sunshine please! Better news on OD ? Ashcombe.
Yesterday we faffed, bit of washing, watered the garden and our friend’s, as they’re away and played hunt my spare glasses, neither of us won. Off to Weston super Mare for a few days later.
grandMattie I’ll never forget your wise words, thank you.
Have the best day you can all ????.
Good morning from what looks like a very bright day beyond these heavy curtains from the east coast of Fife, ouch now the curtains are drawn back I’m being blinded the suns blazing and it feels warm, but I’m not complaining
What a weekend I’ve had with family staying over and an old friend popping in for several hours for a catch up.
Gosh those 2 heavy breakfasts played havoc on my gallbladder must take care in future to either desist or resist eating so much.
Today we’re off to the nearest village to look for a power pack for the wheelchair, then himself will be able to propel me over all terrains. We might need a learners notice pinned to my back
Have a good day all ye who would venture out and about. Don’t be too afraid, life is improving as long as you DAE AS YER TELT.
