Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it’s dry and still dark.

Yesterday my neighbour and I removed some fence posts ready for their new fence. After he went in I carried on working, tripped over and couldn’t save myself so ended up in a heap on the garden. My leg was bleeding so I went indoors to patch myself up and had a few tears. I’ll just potter at home today and do some washing. My brother will pop by later.

Take care all whatever you are doing ??

grandMattie Thu 04-Nov-21 06:32:58

Good morning from a grey, dawning E Kent.
Sorry that your phone still isn’t working, Mick. Poor you, Beech, I hope your pride will heal as fast as your leg…
Spanish class today, not really in the mood for it TBH, but hey, it’s paid for.
Feeling rather tired and sore from booster jab on Tuesday, taken over 24 hours to react.
Isn’t it great news that the HPV vaccinations has reduced cervical cancer by so much!
Be kind to yourselves today, hope all problems are eased. Carpe diem. ?????

kittylester Thu 04-Nov-21 06:40:42

Morning all from a dark and chilly North Leicestershire.

Dh is driving today so I have an empty but, since my booster jab, I have been suffering from dizziness and will try to talk to a doctor today.

I hope you are not too shaken up Beechnut and I hope your phone is soon sorted Mick

cornergran Thu 04-Nov-21 06:57:51

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, dry corner of Somerset.

We got through our tasks yesterday, even had time for an enjoyable phone chat with a a good friend. Hope to finish garden tidying this morning then wander out for some lunch and a walk.

Please do track a GP down kitty, peace of mind if nothing else. Ouch beechnut, you must have been shaken up. Take it easy today. Good luck getting through phone fixed mick. Go gently grandMattie.

Thinking of all with heavy hearts, hope Thursday is gentle with us all.

baubles Thu 04-Nov-21 06:58:54

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s cold at the moment, hopefully another nice day ahead.

Hope you get your phone fixed Mick, and that you are feeling better today Beechnut.

No childminding as we have a funeral to attend this morning.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Scentia Thu 04-Nov-21 07:05:46

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is chilly.
Beechnut that sounds painful, you be careful.
I am waiting for my shopping delivery as I didn’t feel like going into the shop yesterday so did it online.
I have been up since 4am as our mattress is so uncomfortable and once I wake I can’t get back to sleep as I can’t get comfortable. I am going to get a new mattress soon.
I am on Nanna duties today but they are both at nursery until lunchtime so I will do a few work deliveries snd I may even tackle that playroom!
DD and I are off to view the pictures from a photo shoot the children did last week, we will obviously spend a fortune on photos so will not mention it to the men folk as they will never understand the need for massive images on your wall of the children you see every day??
I fo hope you sort your phone today Michael.
I am still deep within my campaign against our housing developer and I am getting the little thing sorted but when it comes to them spending a lot they are disputing stuff, I said to them yesterday “ you don’t realise just how much time I am prepared to put into this, I will not go away so it may be better if you do the right thing by your customers” the lady the other end of the phone said, “ well it’s obvious you won’t go away, you have called me three times already this week!” Bit rude??
Take care everyone and keep yourselves in good spirits. Ooh Sainsbury’s are here!!

dragonfly46 Thu 04-Nov-21 07:10:08

Good morning from chilly Leicestershire.

We are venturing out this morning for hearing tests. They are long overdue as we have been having very odd conversations like - ‘What would you like for dinner’
‘I think it is quarter past 2’!

Have a good day everyone.

Urmstongran Thu 04-Nov-21 07:11:38

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and the sub’s coming up over the Pennines - the backbone of England. I like that phrase.

Well L’il Miss is back to school this morning for a two day week. I have by necessity neglected my stepfather so late morning we will go round and the three of us shop at M&S Simply Food which is only a five minute drive from his house. I shall buy desserts (oh god the diet and I’ve lost 4lbs) as we have friends coming over from Bolton late afternoon. Wine has calories too! Oh heck. No wonder it’s hard to diet. It’s okay if you don’t see anyone I think.

Mick my stepfather had a similar problem a month back. He called BT who sent out an engineer. It was a fault in the box up the road. Got it sorted. Then received a bill for £90!!

Hope your dizziness settles soon kitty it always makes me anxious whenever I get an episode. My toothache has settled. Hopefully for ages. ‘If in doubt do nowt’ suits me. I am such a wuss and a worrier. I haven’t heard back yet about my neck MR scan which reassures me.

Have a good Thursday all who can. x

PollyTickle Thu 04-Nov-21 07:13:28

Good morning from Anglesey, no rain, no wind and steaks if pale blue sky, looks promising.
Sorry the phone problems haven’t been resolved after all Mick.
Oh Beechnut, it’s a horrible feeling isn’t it when you know your going down but just can’t stop it. Hope you heal soon.
I would ring the doctor Kitty, better to check if only for peace of mind.
A sad day for you Baubles.
Yes grandMattie that is good news re HPV vaccines, the advances in medical science are amazing.
Corner you seem to have turned in to the bionic woman since your op.
Wishing you all as good a day as possible, lots of random pink flamingos for all
Special hug for GrannySomerset and for Harrigran going through the toughest of times.
???

PollyTickle Thu 04-Nov-21 07:14:27

Steaks in the sky, goodness me. Streaks of blue.

Urmstongran Thu 04-Nov-21 07:17:09

Meant to say sorry to hear you took a tumble yesterday Beechnut. It will have shaken you up, hence the tears. Easy does it today. Give yourself some TLC. You deserve it.

PollyTickle Thu 04-Nov-21 07:18:14

Morning to those who snuck in as I wrote and those yet to come.

Urmstongran Thu 04-Nov-21 07:19:32

Hey PollyTickle you forgot to tell us what the day has in store for YOU!
?
A few details please lady.

Gingster Thu 04-Nov-21 07:36:12

Good morning all and it’s very still out there. Damp and dull here in Essex.
No wind
No rain
No sun
No fog
No snow
No nothing
NOVEMBER!

Had a great day with my ‘oldest’ pals yesterday at the Olympic Park in Stratford. It’s absolutely huge and we walked and walked. Beautiful gardens, wild and formal. Trees everywhere. You wouldnt believe you were in East London. My GP’s lived here all their lives - so different now.

Today I have my bowls group and then Art club this afternoon.

It would have been my parent 82nd wedding anniversary today.

Beechnut - take it easy today, it’s the shock of falling that shakes you up.

dragonfly I know the feeling with the mishearing conversations. I must write them down. Some are hilarious.
My DS2 was staying with us for a weekend with the baby.

Me to my Dh - ‘Tell Dan that Poppy is crying.’
Dh to Dan - ‘Dan, the sausages are frying’
?

Take care all and enjoy your day. ????

PollyTickle Thu 04-Nov-21 07:43:26

Just pottering about Urms, just pottering.

Grandmajean Thu 04-Nov-21 07:44:42

Good morning from Cheshire.
Think it's brightening up.
A fall is a shock to the system , Beechnut I hope you feel better as the day goes on.
I think I liked " steak" in the sky better Polly tickle

Marydoll Thu 04-Nov-21 07:51:49

Good morning Mick and all from a very cold Glasgow.

You must have got a fright Beechnut, I hope there are no serious after effects.

Dragonfly, we are in a similar position. He thinks his test from four years ago is still valid. Take it from me, its NOT I am now deaf, from the high volume from the TV!!!

Baubles, such a sad day for you and your family. We have a new young curate and I saw the other day, he was wearing black vestments for a funeral, instead of white. As Sacristan, I haven't seen that for many years. I must ask him once I'm back in the fold! Not long now, I hope.

I am making a public declaration about MrMDoll. Yesterday, I spent most of the day in bed, as I felt so awful. After having been provided with endless supply of tea and drinks, I eventually, came downstairs to find:
The washing done and hung out
All the glassworks done ( windows, mirrors, units, shower screen)
Kitchen units cleaned
Bathrooms cleaned
Vacuuming done^
Recycling bins emptied
MrMdoll* asleep on the sofa.

That man is a saint! I may hang onto him for just a wee bit longer. However, I must stress, he is still on probation!

Today is a very special day for us. For the first time since Dollie, started school over a year ago, my son has asked us if we would like to come down to the school, ( masks and social distancing still required) to see the routine, with a view to picking her up in the future. I am beyond ecstatic, with the added bonus, that I may catch a glimpse of my former colleagues.
A very special day indeed, for our family dynamics.

Kitty, I hope your GP can reassure you. I had to have anti nausea tablets after both accusations. It did eventually pass.

Sending my best wishes to all who are struggling. Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

dragonfly46 Thu 04-Nov-21 07:59:17

He is indeed a keeper Marydoll. It is times like that make up for all the small irritations.
Great news about Dolly.

AGAA4 Thu 04-Nov-21 08:06:28

Good morning everyone from a cold North Wales.

I will get my boots on soon for my usual walk in this lovely countryside.
I really need to get some cleaning done later. Not a favourite occupation for me.

Have a good day all. Hugs for anyone who needs one today.

ginny Thu 04-Nov-21 08:10:16

Good morning , weather wise as Gingster says ‘it’s November.
Busy but enjoyable day yesterday. I felt a bit like a Jack in the box, in and out all day and evening.
A little food shop today and another couple of hours with little Charlie.
We also have to get two mattresses off of beds to make way for new ones at the weekend. Some organisation and sorting for my various clubs to be done.
Wishing all a good and healing day with a smile along the way.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 04-Nov-21 08:14:48

Good morning from East Yorkshire. It’s damp, chilly but a bright sky.
Yesterday my trip into town went well. On my route I passed Primark and as it was early I ventured in. They had lots of lovely Christmas bits in. I bought a large stand up snowman ( it’s one of my themes) a couple of tree decs ( for dgs of course!) a little trinket dish, gloves and a woolly headband for those bad hair days. Then I went to Roman and bought 2 winter dresses and 2 skirts. Very pleased with those. I didn’t have time then to go to where I intended for my bedding as I had to be back for hair appt. Arrived there to find my hairdresser is pregnant. So pleased for her but anxious as I will have someone different doing my hair while she is on maternity leave. The new person is starting right away as they have a busy time coming up and I’m going next week for a blow dry with her.

Today I’m meeting up with DIL. We are having lunch as opposed to just coffee. It is the last time I will see her in person for a while as after tomorrow the family have to isolate prior to her going into hospital for bed rest and the imminent delivery of baby number 2.
Well I think I have prattled on enough this morning but just to say to everyone with falls, aches and pains, troubles in any way take care.

Susan56 Thu 04-Nov-21 08:16:15

Good morning from Shropshire.Sun is shining although very chilly.Have finally given in and put the heating on.

Not sure what today will hold, not a lot I think. We had planned to go to playgroup but H walked in and was sick ??‍♀️luckily just in the utility room so no carpet affected. He seems fine now so could have been that he helped himself to some of big sisters breakfast and had an allergic reaction.

Beechnut, hope you are feeling better today.A fall is always a shock to the system.Take it easy today.

Hope the dr can give you reassurance kitty.

Have the best day you can all and thoughts to all with sadness, worries and struggles ??

harrigran Thu 04-Nov-21 08:20:16

Good morning from a dry NE.
DS has a day off so is coming to spend the day with me, he says he is going to beat me at Scrabble and then we can watch some TV together. I can't remember the last time I watched a drama so perhaps we will catch up with Shetland.
DIL and GDs will come after school and we will have dinner together.

PollyTickle Thu 04-Nov-21 08:21:36

Prack has just brought me a second cuppa and enquired about what time I was thinking of getting up, always an early riser just like his old dad, Pa Tickle, always up and atom before 7.
Apparently we are going for a picnic, brrr, so much for just pottering.
