One of my male friends painted my nails.
He does them far better than I can.

The Yodel delivery driver. I got a couple of parcel delivery time changes, so l changed the delivery day as it needed a signature and l knew l'd be out later today. The lovely delivery driver changed his route as he had a couple of changes in my area so lm a happy bunny smile

That made me laugh. Our Yodel delivery driver ran off very quickly back to his van, after delivering a boxed parcel which looked like it had been through a mangle first?

Luckily..the contents seemed ok.

Nothing yet but my daughter is on her way with my grandson to collect another grandson who is coming for lunch and the rest of the day, while his dad takes third grandson to the theatre. Fun and games ahead….

I cleaned the oven this morning and am still so thrilled about an unexpected phone call from an old schoolfriend who remembered my birthday yesterday, plus an e-mail from one of the others.

Our little granddaughter (18 months)
said ‘nanny’ this week - apart from being called ‘mum’ by my children it feels like I have won the lottery!

My Granddaughter. She is a real tonic. She's 15 today. It was lovely to see her and I was amazed that the card I did for her online actually turned out really well.

Waking up with my anxiety under control. Don’t know what I’m going to face from one day to the next but hopefully this is a good sign for today ?

GNHQ for their understanding regarding an unkind remark mad about and to me yesterday.

Canadian Gran! You have hummingbirds still, I am envious. I am in Edmonton AB and we so rarely see them in the summer, but November! Wow! That would have made me feel good too smile

Getting my hair done after an extremely stressful week.

singingnutty Sat 27-Nov-21 14:11:18

I spent a couple of hours serving refreshments at the Christmas Tree Festival in the Church in town and had some lovely conversations with other helpers. I also talked to someone who used to come to our Community Choir who I hadn't seen for a long time and discovered that she has a real problem with her voice and that's why she doesn't come now. It's a very cold, windy and dismal day but talking to people has made me happy. On the way home I spotted a gorgeous evergreen wreath in a flower shop and bought it to put on the front door. I shall feel happy every time I come in the door for several weeks no matter what the weather.

Two things - 1. I've made an appointment to have my hair cut after dithering about it for two weeks.
2. I've received an email for a friend in America who was worried about a member of her family over there. All is well, so I'm pleased for her.
