Perverted man claims to be a woman - may be housed in a women's prison

Possibly some on this site think this is non-controversial non-news of a vulnerable transwoman.

"Paedophile, 60, who identifies as female is jailed for 20 months after having cocaine-fuelled sex with a dog "

"The pervert was listed under a male name but with a note added to be addressed in the hearing as Claire.

A Sexual Harm Prevention Order is under her new name, but it is not clear whether she will serve time in men's or women's prison."

Right:
Woman is a term used for the gender of people who present in a certain way usually attributed to females but encompassing anyone who presents in a similar way and wishes to be called a women

Man is a term used for people who present as the opposite gender, usually attributed to males but encompassing anyone who presents in a similar way and wishes to be called a man

Non-binary is a term for people who choose not to identify as either woman or man
It's no use defining one term because the others influence and are part of the whole picture.Although I realise transwomen are the obsession on GN.

Mollygo Fri 31-Dec-21 23:03:55

Ok, so you haven’t answered my last question where no answer means you don’t believe transwomen are or can change into females.
I’m fine with that.

Your definitions of woman and man incorporates a factual untruth and you’re happy to promote that untruth.

Where in your definition do GagaJo’s pretend-trans fit?

Doodledog Fri 31-Dec-21 23:05:23

So it's a construct? Women don't have to be female, and it comes down to what people want to be called? If that's the case, women don't really exist (other than in a hypothetical sense), but we all know that's not true.

'People who present in a certain way usually attributed to females'. Isn't 'presentation' a conscious choice? That suggests that anyone can be a woman, in the way that anyone can be a hippy, or a mod, or a goth. There is surely more to it than that? As a woman, I know that there is more to it than that. Don't you?

I don't think that transwomen are an obsession. It's just that they are men who are likely to find themselves in women's spaces (the 'real' ones, that is - GagaJo's 'fake' ones will inveigle their way in), who are, on average, bigger and stronger than the average woman, and who are therefore much more able to cause damage to a woman than the average transwoman is to the average man.

I'm still wondering which of your earlier statements is untrue, incidentally - it's taking you a long time to decide.

Your post of 21.59 had me in fits of laughter, Doodledog! ?

Rosie51 Fri 31-Dec-21 23:18:32

Doodledog you win the internet. Your astoundingly accurate (and hugely funny) summation should be displayed everywhere!

trisher using your definition Woman is a term used for the gender of people who present in a certain way usually attributed to females but encompassing anyone who presents in a similar way and wishes to be called a women so stereotypes all the way! A butch lesbian or heterosexual female who "presents" in a very masculine way with short hair, male clothing etc doesn't come under your definition of woman. How very exclusionary. Still good to know you only have to put a frock on to be a woman. Alex Drummond, he wears "women's" clothing and that's all (no hormones, definitely no surgery) but is a lesbian who is expanding "how to be a woman".
As much a woman as you?

NanKate Fri 31-Dec-21 23:26:59

So by the same token if I dress in a kimono and identify as Japanese even though I was born Caucasian, does that make me Japanese? I don’t think so. ?

Doodledog Fri 31-Dec-21 23:44:32

Who knows, Kate? In this looking glass world, it seems that anything goes.

Doodledog Fri 31-Dec-21 23:48:39

Anyway, here's to 2022! I wish everyone on this thread a safe and happy new year, and look forward to more discussions, debates and conversations next year??

As of midnight tonight, I am Britney Spears. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! ?

Happy New Year Britney, if I may be so bold as to address you so familiarly grin

A statement just released by the Tokyo swimming silver medallist Erika Brown:

I want to share something that’s been on my heart regarding what is going on in USA Swimming at the moment. I believe that we are all God’s children and we are called to love one another. I don’t want to create any hate, only speak up for what is right.

“We cannot allow transgender females to compete against biological women. A biological male goes through male puberty. Even when she has transitioned, she still has the physiology of a male. A few years of testosterone blockers and estrogen doesn’t change the fact that she will have more powerful muscles, a larger heart and greater lung capacity (than) a biological woman.

“It’s time to start standing up for women’s sports, before we (lose) what so many before us have fought for. I hope that this can help inspire others to speak out."

Britney sits back and awaits the "she's just a sore loser/transphobic" diatribe.

You forgot "all she needs is to train harder"..........

Doodledog Sat 01-Jan-22 00:44:16

It's so blatantly unfair, isn't it? And unsporting.

Mollygo Sat 01-Jan-22 00:46:16

And cheating as well.

I hope we don't have to wait till then for a good year! ?

Far North,
I quite agree. One thing I was going to say in your defense was that, because anyone with even remotely traditional views often find themselves canceled and absolutely harangued out of the public arena, it has become more and more difficult to express a more conservative point of view. It seems a lot of people see any remark that isn't absolutely supportive of transgenderism (even as egregious an example of sexual opportunism as this) as an "attack" on transgender people.

happycatholicwife1 Sat 01-Jan-22 02:50:03

Doodledog, it's unfair to the point of being utterly ridiculous. Where are NOW and other women's organizations? For the most part, all I hear are crickets. Sixty years ago, anyone who made such ridiculous pretensions to womanhood would have been beaten to a pulp by irate women wielding kitchen tools and buried in an unmarked grave.

Thanks for noticing that DD. I’d like it to be a better year whilst I’m still around in*2022*! My only excuse is the toast must have been more powerful than I thought!

Thanks Brittany for helping me start 2022 with hope.

Congratulations on your freedom ??

And you don't see the Christian fundamentalist link there?

GagaJo Sat 01-Jan-22 09:16:18

No doubt Erika Brown is anti abortion, too.

Iam64 Sat 01-Jan-22 09:18:27

I may not share her politics but I defend her right to express her beliefs

Mollygo Sat 01-Jan-22 09:21:57

GagaJo

No, any more than I see a satanist link when I read your posts. You shouldn’t dismiss people who believe in God just because they speak a truth you don’t like.

Thinking of the Olympics , spending all your free time training, your dream is a medal in the female hurdlers event, you are selected, come the day you line up, with a man each side of you.
