Other people may or may not have penises and may be Transwomen. Strangely enough I don't make rules and apply them indiscriminately. For one thing some people don't openly display or use their genitals so I wouldn't know what they had would I?

The sickest thing is that you seem to regard harming animals as worse than causing harm and distress to females.
Harming animals means someone who claims to be a woman/TW should not be in a woman’s prison.
Causing distress to or harming females whilst claiming to be a woman means that he should be allowed in a female prison.
Don’t drag in the much needed prison reforms or it might seem as if you’re saying females should just put up with it until those facilities are built.

You have so far confused sex with gender, misunderstood what a woman is and what is female and now you apparently don't understand the difference between having a penis and using it to rape.

There are of course transwomen with penises who cause no harm to anyone and live quietly and peacefully amongst us. Trying to link these individuals with a pervert is not only transphobic it's abusive.

You really can't have it all ways.

This is an extreme case, and of course this man is not remotely typical of transpeople. The case does, however, put the concerns of a lot of women into sharp relief. Not because such extreme cases are likely to happen often, but because when something like this does happen it shows just how vulnerable female prisoners can be, and reminds us that this applies in other contexts too.

Why can't you see that, and just accept that sex based segregation has its place, instead of simply digging your heels in and making what are often quite comical leaps in an attempt to outsmart people and find tiny but irrelevant holes in their posts?

Agreeing that whereas transpeople who just want to 'pass' and be unobtrusive have every right to do so, but that women need protection from those who want to exploit their greater strength and size wouldn't weaken your argument. Nonsensical mental gymnastics, however, definitely do.

When it comes down to it, the difference between your POV and mine, as far as I can tell, is that I do not believe that TWAW and you do. For the rest, we agree (oh, except about feminism not being about women, but that was a diversion anyway).

I think that people should live their best lives, however they feel most comfortable. If men want to live as women, good luck to them, but they are living as women, and as such should recognise that they can't in fairness compete with women in strength-based sport, that there are (limited but important) times when it is not appropriate for them to be around women, and that this is not a refusal to accept or validate them.

Those transwomen who retain their genitalia but have no intention of causing harm, or distress to females, either physically or mentally are not the issue for either of us.

Transwomen do not have to have surgery. A transwoman may have a penis, just as a transman may have a vagina.
I've realise why those who are criticising trans supporters have problems it is because this is a complex issue with many variations and it needs serious thinking about.
So it is much easier to say men are this and women are that. Or transwomen aren't real women.
No one has yet explained to me what this means for transmen. Are they forced to remain women? Isn't that contrary to the very essence of feminism that it supports women to make their choices?
Do they then become part of some trans subset?.
I have consistently through all these ridiculous threads maintained my stance that no one should damage. hurt, abuse or inflict pain on another human being regardless of sex or gender.
I have never said transwomen should be housed in women's prisons. I think I was the first person to post about the transgender prison wings. I have said that prisons need reform and the present system is failing.

I have never said sex segregation had no place I have often posted the law on that. I agree with that law.
If sex was to determine other spaces there would be problems
I don't want to see any system introduced for testing anyone's sex and I don't think anyone could distinguish between trans people and others without testing.
