Fabricated posts…..why?

They could be previously banned posters who are narked that they were banned and have snuck back in to cause mischief. It's apparently quite easy to raise a new email address, sign back up to GN, choose a new name and away they go. I don't think GNHQ check IP addresses too closely.

So it would seem! I miss all the excitement, and I am no good at all at spotting 'returners under another name', some on GN should be offering their services to Special Branch with their skills in spotting writing styles .

Totally agree with you Sago. Some are such utter tosh! and yes they probably do get a kick out of the replies!

I reported too, but I think even those who suggest on the thread to ignore, are feeding the poster. Best to report but not say anything on thread. I suspect some of these posters have a competition to see how many replies they get before deletion

I sometimes think anyone who has a different view on things here gets ridiculed, and then several jump on the 'this must be a set up!" bandwagon. I say just don't reply, or report it.

Maybe I'm either more sympathetic, or more gullible, not sure which.

It could be, Canadiangran but someone who smokes then objects to showering and putting on clean clothes before going to see a new baby really does ask to be criticised imo.

Two more today. One from someone who posts variations on a ‘problem with new man’ theme under different usernames who GN say deregistered after being reported yet again, then someone saying their 14 year old grand daughter had been bought a sex toy by her mother. What is it with these people and how could anyone dream up the latter scenario?

Wtf is the matter with these people? What kind of person has crap like that going through their minds? I'm nauseated, disgusted and **ing furious that they still keep getting through.

There are some strange individuals about.

A hospital consultant I worked with used to say ‘beware the complaint letters written in green biro’.

The only individual I know who always writes in green ink is the Head of the UK's Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, or as it is more popularly known, MI6). I would certainly be concerned to receive a written complaint from 'C'.....

Over the years there have been a (thankfully small) number where fake characters have been set up and then later ‘killed off’

They are by far the worst, because of the upset they cause before the hoax comes to light.
