Maddyone, hope you feel better soon too.flowers
Baggs and BA, what talented hands you both have, beautiful work!
Yiayia and Urms, please send us some sunshine! ?
I had a lovely surprise visit from DGS1, age 15, he walked from his appointment at the local orthodontist my house, he's keen on keeping his steps up! We had a great catch up, not often I have him to myself. DDiL1 came to collect him later.
Going to my sister's for girlie quiz night, Popmaster I think..
Tilly, thank you for the delicious no calorie lasagne, I miss pasta on my new low carb regime..
Have a good evening one and all,
TOYA, NNGB.

How lovely to hear from you, Soop! I hope the nurses can soon get you sorted out. The temari is amazing!

Maddy it’s many a long year since I had a kidney infection but I still recall how low it laid me. I hope the AB’s work v soon.

I’m home alone right now, Dh and ds have gone off on a boys trip and won’t be back until Sunday so it’s just me, myself and I here this evening. And the cat. grin

Just popping in to say a quick hello
Lovely to hear from you Soop

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Mar-22 11:43:11

Popping in with a nary Berry lemon drizzle cake. I made that this morning and smoked mackerel paté to take my mind off dd who has covid. She's not feeling too bad but I worry. She's going to test the baby too as he's unwell. I worry about that too. Oh well. More baking this afternoon I expect. Take care all

Hellogirl1 Fri 04-Mar-22 12:04:45

Soop LOVES lemon drizzle cake!

SueDonim Fri 04-Mar-22 12:42:27

Brooke you might have passed Dh and ds2 on the road south! They’re having a boys trip and were in Inverness yesterday before going on up to Thurso. It’s nice and quiet and my house right now - just the cat and me.grin

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Mar-22 13:28:32

Good to hear from you soop rest and hopefully things will improve soon ??

Grannmarie Fri 04-Mar-22 15:23:49

Good afternoon, lovely Kitchen people!
I hope Soop feels a little bit better today. One day at a time...flowers

Grandmabatty, sorry to hear about your worries for your DD and wee grandson. I hope they are OK. You're wise to keep yourself busy. I was worried when DS1 and DGD had Covid, because he is CEV, but thankfully they recovered quickly. ?

Brook, enjoy your visit with the family, congratulations on your DGS's birthday.?

SueD, enjoy your empty! We had lovely sunshine earlier, blue skies for Marydoll's DS's wedding!

Today, I went to Aquafit for the first time since lockdown, thoroughly enjoyed it! My newly retired sister joined me, she's just loving the new freedom to choose how to spend her days.

Have a great weekend, TOYA. ??

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Mar-22 15:43:07

Thank you Grannmarie. Leek and potato soup made too. ? And everything but the kitchen sink biscuits. I make a basic biscuit recipe and add whatever I have. Today's have dried cranberries, raisins, walnuts and chocolate chips. A chicken and spinach curry is made for dinner. Same rule applies. Whatever is kicking about my fridge and freezer goes in. I bet your sister is loving retirement! I still do.

Grannmarie Fri 04-Mar-22 15:58:29

Retirement is to be recommended! ??

TillyTrotter Fri 04-Mar-22 16:23:53

Popping in - can I smell lemon drizzle cake? Thank you Grandmabatty I adore it. A friend makes a lime and coconut drizzle cake - have you made one of those before?
Try not to worry about your family with Covid - Omnicrom variant is similar to seasonal ‘Flu I believe.

Grannmarie I am joining you in the Retirement Appreciation Society. ?
SueDonim how lovely to have just your cat for a couple of days - in my experience they make less mess than men!
I hope soop follows her nose and finds the cake and cuts a good slice for her and her lovely man. ?
The sun has been shining today and the weekend is beckoning.
There is much to be grateful for.
Wishing everyone a good evening. ?

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Mar-22 16:57:36

Tillytrotter I have made a lime and coconut cake and it was fantastic. Thanks for jogging my memory. That'll be next week's cake sorted. Dd is tired and achy but that's all so far. I've said that sil can drop off dgs1 tomorrow for a couple of hours and that will make things easier. I'm doing a lft each day just to be careful. Dgs2 is a bit better and the eardrops are working their magic.

TillyTrotter Fri 04-Mar-22 17:16:57

I hope you stay clear of the virus Grandmabatty , it’s only natural you want to help family out even if it puts you (maybe) at risk. We are all jabbed, and we shouldn’t get too poorly is how I look at it now.

BladeAnnie Fri 04-Mar-22 17:22:53

Buggerations - where's my post gone?? And Duncan on the toybox too!! I wonder if he was waiting for small people.....??

TillyTrotter Fri 04-Mar-22 17:36:17

Ruby says “Hello Duncan”.

Urmstongran Fri 04-Mar-22 18:48:06

‘Evening All’

I don’t suppose there’s a slice of that delicious looking lemon drizzle cake going spare is there Grandmabatty? It’s my fav.
Hope your daughter gets over covid PDQ especially having her new baba to look after too. I bet she’s wiped out. It’s lovely you help so. You are indeed her safety net.

Keep on making progress soop we are all rooting for you!

It’s been COLD out here today. I’ve not ventured out. Brr! Just sent Himself over to the supermarket for supplies earlier. I have a good book. And GN.
?

Urmstongran Fri 04-Mar-22 18:49:58

Aw Ruby looks so cute TillyTrotter!
Duncan is his usual handsome leonine self. ?

Baggs Fri 04-Mar-22 18:51:48

Just a quickie from soop today. The nurse was pleased with the bothersome wound and soop is much more comfortable. She sends love to all.

A big group sigh of relief is in order, I think!

Urmstongran Fri 04-Mar-22 18:56:47

Great news thanks Baggs.
