Just popping in dear kitcheners with some m&s cookies I bought earlier to share with you all. Hope everyone is well and soop is getting lots of rest ?. I have got an awful lot of stuff (rubbish) going on atm so I'm going to take a little sabbatical from the kitchen but will be back soon ?

Doodle Tue 08-Mar-22 19:58:55

BladeAnnie hope things improve for you and you are back in the kitchen soon.
Glad all the poorly children and grandchildren are getting better.
Soop take it slowly and don’t rush things. Glad to hear you’re feeling a little better.
Yiayia I am not jealous at all ………green is my natural colour ?
Hellogirl certainly the right thing to do. Supporting your family.
Take care all

I’m sad to hear that BA a swift resolution and return please.
I think you have been the epitome of Be Kind Hellogirl, I’d have done the same.
Thanks Tilly no doubles here sadly.
You must be well known on that flight now brook shame you haven’t got a loyalty card, I doubt there’s much competition on that route.
House clean today, how boring I find housework, anyway, done; hoovered, dusted, washed, enough for this week, might stretch to 8 days if I’m feeling rash (lazy).
So soop the old adage ‘an apple a day keeps the Dr away’ needs to replace apple with fart, sounds ok to me!
Looks amazing Yia I hope you’re being spoilt.
I’m going to watch the moving box as my dear Dad called it, have a pleasant evening all x

muse Tue 08-Mar-22 20:32:39

Perfect view Yia. Blue sea and sky. Ideal evening temperature too. Hope there's lots of relaxation taking place as well as those walks.

BladeAnnie, I do hope things improve and the rubbish is sorted soon.

I'll be back to read more posts before bed. I need find a cake, as those M&S cookies are disappearing quickly. Take care kitcheners.

TillyTrotter Tue 08-Mar-22 20:32:45

A rather silly rhyme just popped into my head from years ago! Maybe my memory isn’t that bad after all ….

Baked brand are good for your heart,
The more you eat the more you fart.
The more you fart the better you feel,
So let’s have beans with every meal!

(I’m blaming my big brothers for that one!)

maddyone Tue 08-Mar-22 23:37:55

Good evening kitcheners. soop thank you for your messages, it’s wonderful that you are moving in the right direction. Your upbeat humour is lovely too.
Thank you for all your messages, and I’m pleased to report that I’m much better. The infection is gone, and this time I hope it stays gone.
Good wishes to all poorly kitcheners, hoping you’ll all be well soon.
Wonderful news about your little grandson Nannytopsy. Hope he’ll be home soon.
Good night everyone.

Nannytopsy Tue 08-Mar-22 23:42:55

Good evening everyone. We are infested with DGC tonight. Dad is working, Mum etc still in London with the littlest and the granny who is looking after children and dogs is much older than us and more vulnerable. Cue a call from school to warn that least 3 of DGS’s class have Covid. So they are here and he will get two tests per day. Ho hum. We have avoided the dreaded virus studiously for over two years but couldn’t refuse. I’m sure he will avoid it - he has so far when the rest of that house have had it.
Sleep tight everyone. Early start tomorrow for the school run.
Ps did anyone hear thunder earlier? It seemed to be a long way off, in the north west. ?

Baggs Wed 09-Mar-22 06:28:29

Troubling news from soop overnight. Message sent in the early hours of this morning. I will use her own words: "Evening from hell. Major blip. [Neighbour] drove us to A&E. Crisis dealt with. Home 11pm. Shattered! wouldn't wish such experience on anyone other than Putin."

I don't know whether it was Campbeltown A&E. I hope so as it's not so far as Oban!

Poor soop! But at least she is back home rather than being kept in hospital. Dear kitcheners, please keep 'praying' in whatever form you favour. Love from soop and me ?

Jaxjacky Wed 09-Mar-22 07:00:14

Oh no Baggs fingers crossed for improvements today.

Gagagran Wed 09-Mar-22 07:03:56

Really sorry to hear of this setback for Soop. Hopefully just a blip on the road to better things as her body adjusts to its new system.

We went through similar issues when DH had the same operation in July 2020 and he was advised to eat jelly babies and marshmallows to help control output. They definitely worked. Hope this might be a useful for anyone else with problems in that area. We also used Imodium instants to good effect.

Fingers crossed for better news soon. Thanks for the updates Baggs

baubles Wed 09-Mar-22 07:09:43

Oh no! I’m so sad to hear that Baggs especially after yesterday when soop was so upbeat.

Sending love and prayers.

Grandmabatty Wed 09-Mar-22 07:12:46

I'm sad to hear that. I hope Soop is ok today. ?

Marydoll Wed 09-Mar-22 07:14:33

Thanks, Baggs. I was so upset at reading this on wakening. Poor Soop and Mr Soop too. ?

cornergran Wed 09-Mar-22 07:24:05

Oh blimey soop. Hope you slept well after your unscheduled trip and today will be much better. So sorry hear it was needed. Thanks for the message baggs.

TOYA

Charleygirl5 Wed 09-Mar-22 07:27:08

Thanks Baggs for keeping us in the loop because we care.

TillyTrotter Wed 09-Mar-22 07:29:14

Troubling news Baggs but thank you for passing on the good and the bad.
Poor soop and her dear husband.
I wish her well and hope she gets rest today as her body mends after such a big operation.
No more ‘blips’ of this kind, please, if there is a Lord up there listening ? ?
