Soop I'm so sorry to hear about your set-back last night. Please, both of you rest and gather your strength today. Glad you have such a willing, kind neighbour.
I have a friend coming for coffee this morning. We will probably reminisce about our dear friend who died recently. Her funeral is at the end of next week.
Have as good a day as possible everyone. Thinking of all who are suffering in the world. flowers

Its a big operation and a big ask for the body to adjust to. DiL had a similar op and a lot of painful adjustments as everything settled into new positions. Wind seems to be a major problem!

NfkDumpling Wed 09-Mar-22 08:23:40

Sorry - that was to Soop!

harrigran Wed 09-Mar-22 08:38:28

Sorry to hear you had to make a trip to A&E, hope all is sorted and you can rest up today flowers

Thank you Baggs for keeping us all "in touch".

Very disturbing news Baggs especially after soop had sounded so upbeat earlier. I really wish I hadn’t posted that humorous verse now, feel awful.

Marmite32 Wed 09-Mar-22 11:55:48

So sorry to hear the disappointing news from*Baggs*. As NFK says your body needs to make major adjustments.
On top of that I don't know how you can sleep without moving the stoma bag.
but you'll get there soop. With the help of your wonderful husband.

I’m sorry to hear the Soop has had a horrible ‘blip’. This road surely has it ups and downs, doesn’t it? sad May things smooth out very soon - keep on keeping on, Soop. flowers

I have no intention of boring you with the sordid details that blighted what promised to be a peaceful evening. We remain a little traumatised. I never want to experience such a ghastly event again. Yes, it's a steep learning curve. I am no wimp. But...I remain shaken by the events that unfolded without warning.

My best wishes to you ALL. I am most grateful to Baggs and all the support I've received in our wonderful place of refuge. flowers

Sending healing hugs, Soop. ?

dragonfly46 Wed 09-Mar-22 13:29:28

So sorry to hear what you have been through soop I hope things continue to improve from now on.
I have a friend going through the same as you although hers was done under emergency conditions.
I feel for you both.
Sending love and hugs.

lavendermine Wed 09-Mar-22 13:37:40

So sorry to read what happened soop.
Please take care, and Mr soop, and recuperate.
Sending hugs to you both.

Im just popping in while wee DGS2 has his nap and Papa snores on the sofa beside me. I'm so sorry to hear about Soop's setback, what a shame after feeling upbeat earlier.
I don't know anyone with experience of this procedure so I'm hoping it's just ' teething troubles' and will soon settle down.
Gagagran has good advice based on experience. Thank you, Baggs, for the update, love and prayers for the Soops.???

Grandmabatty, I'm glad your family is much better, sorry to hear that you're not feeling great, hope you feel better soon. flowers

GrannySomerset Wed 09-Mar-22 14:07:57

So sorry that the news is not better and hoping that this week will see things settling down. A proper buggeration, as Soop herself might say.

brook2704 Wed 09-Mar-22 15:07:33

Oh Soop how dreadful for you, I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. Sending the gentlest of hugs and hoping you feel a bit better soon ?

Good to hear from you soop. Things will get better. Xx

NotAGran55 Wed 09-Mar-22 16:46:19

My heart goes out to you Soop ?with so much trauma for your poor body to deal with. I hope things have settled down and you are more comfortable now.

Grandmabatty Wed 09-Mar-22 17:41:44

It sounds very nasty for you Soop and very traumatic. I hope things are improving today.
Today I have been a freight train and a steam train. I have also had to run and "go hide, grandma." I'm feeling more like myself now. ? Dinner is baked potato with bolognaise sauce. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

Hi all, firstly, it’s good to see soop posting and many thanks Baggs for your updates, not always with the positive news, a good friend indeed.
I’ve had a good result challenging our local County Council in the last 24 hours, older we may be, but not stupid. And I heard from my daughter who’s taking the grandchildren to Winchester Cathedral this evening for a light show. We’re pleased she’s recovering from her covid episode last week.
Successful and satisfying trip to the tip earlier with garden rubbish, bbq coals and pillows of no use to anyone.
Just about ready for dinner.
You sound back on form Gbatty excellent.
Take care all x

Callistemon21 Wed 09-Mar-22 19:21:59

soop I hope the traumatic experience is behind you now and that everything from now is upwards and onwards.

Best wishes flowers
and a wee dram for Mr Soop

muse Wed 09-Mar-22 19:37:27

I hope you have a better, trouble free night, tonight soop. Good to see your post today.

Thank you for the update earlier on baggs

mrshat Wed 09-Mar-22 19:50:36

O lord soop and it was all going so well. Pleased you are back at home, in your own bed. Positivity now, going forward (I hate that expression!) wink and healing and recovery on the cards.
Thanks Baggs for keeping us updated.
