Oh dear soop. I hope today went rather better than last night and that you will have a good night’s sleep tonight.

Blossoming Thu 10-Mar-22 10:46:56

Good morning dear Kitcheners. I hope soop has had a better night and is feeling better today.

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 12:30:21

I’ll echo that Blossomming here’s hoping soop is feeling much better today and things have settled down

I’m just sat in the kitchen for a few minutes whilst trying to muster up enthusiasm to go out into the garden. It looks lovely and sunny but I can hear the wind whistling down the chimney and I can see all the trees blowing about outside, I presume it’s really cold so I’ll get my bobble hat and make a move soon!

Dear you lovely lot, thank you for messages of support and comfort.

Nurse has been and gone. We are feeling reassured and my confidence is recovering. Ulceration very much improved.

I hope to pop in again later this after. A big (((group hug))) for the sharing.

Lovely to hear from you Soop

Grandmabatty Thu 10-Mar-22 15:11:32

I'm glad you are feeling better Soop. Us kitcheners are just concerned about you. After bad dreams in the night, I was planning a lazy day. My lovely aunt by marriage popped in. A nice blether was had. I'm about to have a cuppa and a bit of lemon drizzle cake. Then I'm thinking of drawing a boat. We'll see. Have a good afternoon kitcheners.

Grannmarie Thu 10-Mar-22 15:29:59

Good afternoon, lovely Kitchen people! ?
Soop, I'm so glad to hear that things are improving today. It's very true that alongside physical illness, confidence is often a casualty too, so I'm thankful that yours is recovering, along with the surgery!

My sisters and I are going to see the comedian Ed Byrne tonight. We bought the tickets in 2020. Looking forward to having a good laugh, long overdue. We've missed our comedies at the Edinburgh Festival since lockdown. So tonight's show is the first major 'event' we've attended since Covid. We will be very careful with sanitising and masks, cos I don't think distancing will be possible. We go to church every week but we can still distance there and the windows are open.

TOYA ??

So glad to hear your recovery is back on track soop.
The ulceration sounds very sore.
It takes a lot to get you down and your positivity shines like a beacon. Wishing you better days soon.

You will have a super evening Grandmarie - I like Ed Byrne too.
brook did you get the bobble hat on and venture outside?

Have a slice of sweet drizzle cake before bed tonight Grandmabatty - that will ward off bad dreams.

Our kitchen is full of lovely peeps comings and goings, some with good news, some with sad or poorliness.
Although I can’t address each post I do think of you all. ?

dustyangel Thu 10-Mar-22 16:41:18

I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a traumatic time soop. It’s very true that physical problems knock your confidence for six and really ramp up anxiety levels. TOYA flowers

Grandmabatty Thu 10-Mar-22 17:03:35

Latest drawing to while away half an hour. I've already had a piece of cake Tillytrotter! No more. Have a lovely time Grannmarie. I'm another Ed Byrne fan.

soop Thu 10-Mar-22 17:07:29

Grandmabatty I laughed out loud when I read your post.

Jax you are doing the right thing. Not needed...recycle. A good plan.

Grandmabatty Thu 10-Mar-22 17:07:35

Not sure if it'll appear twice

soop Thu 10-Mar-22 17:15:24

GrandmabattyThat is a well executed sketch.

I have not mentioned Sweetie Pie lately.. She continues to visit. She usually favours Fridays as Mr Soop dices freshly cooked chicken for her. hmm

The sun is shining and the sea is a beautiful shade of deep teal green.

All Kitcheners on the razzle...have fun. You deserve it.
All Kitcheners with concerns regarding health issues, I am sending healing vibes.

I intend returning tomorrow to spend a wee while with my favourite peeps.

We have visited the cats today they live in the rocks but are feed and cared for.It warms my heart to see.Feeding stations everywhere so very different to Greece! So hot today will miss this next week.

Charleygirl5 Thu 10-Mar-22 18:34:39

soop Sweetie pie has a brain wanting to visit when the best food will be supplied. I may join her if that is okay.

I hope Mr. Soop is not too tired because he has been doing so much work. He also needs a rest.
TOYA

kittylester Thu 10-Mar-22 18:35:22

Good to see you soop. Was the emergency hospital trip related to the fart!

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 18:46:34

So lovely to hear from you soop and good that things sound a bit better
Yep I did venture out very well wrapped up Tilly, it was a cold wind but I spent a couple of hours tidying the garden and mowing the front grass. Salmon is on the go now with vegetables and I’m definitely ready for it!
The picture is looking good grandmabatty well done
Hope everyone has a lovely evening

Fennel Thu 10-Mar-22 18:52:16

I don't often post on here ,just to say soop I'm relieved you seem to have recovered a bit from your setback whatever it was.
And I've gone back to being Fennel from Marmite32

Jaxjacky Thu 10-Mar-22 19:12:14

Good to see you posting soop sweetiepie is obviously not daft.
A busy day on the voluntary phone line, I must get out tomorrow as today was just a short walk.
Have a pleasant evening all x

Urmstongran Thu 10-Mar-22 20:04:47

‘Evening All’

I feel a bit guilty posting of a ‘nice life’ over here in Malaga when some (especially you soop but others too) have been having tough times so I don’t post every evening. My very best and sincere good wishes to any who are struggling at present.

lavendermine Thu 10-Mar-22 20:14:15

Glad to see things are improving soop. Take care.

cornergran Thu 10-Mar-22 20:22:31

You sound better today, soop. Good to hear.

brook2704 Thu 10-Mar-22 22:49:20

Awww please don’t feel guilty about posting about your good times in Málaga Urms I like hearing about things and I’m sure others do too ?

Well done with your volunteering work Jax such a worthwhile thing to do
