I don’t enjoy hearing about people being poorly and I hope soop that you will soon be restored to a more normal life. You must be so tired of it all.

Yiay You have my respect. We also fed a certain pussy cat today. TWO full bowls of quality food. Not a word of thanks. Bless.

The nurse was unable to call today. We did the gubbins and feel rather self-satisfied. A wee feather in our caps.

Until next time...smile moon and thank you for all your greatly valued support.

Happy 55th Wedding Anniversary to dustyangel and your
DH ? ? ? ?

Charleygirl5 Fri 11-Mar-22 18:49:28

Happy anniversary dustyangel. I am rather partial to the chocolate cake but if you do not mind I prefer to eat it with coffee. I am not a fan of champagne or any fizzy alcoholic drink. I am fairly cheap to keep.

Lovely to hear from you soop. That minx knows where she will receive as many dishes of food as she can manage.

I hope both you and Mr. soop are resting.

Blossoming Fri 11-Mar-22 18:51:33

Happy to read things are improving soop

Bellanonna Fri 11-Mar-22 19:09:05

You’re starting to sound more like your old self soop. Old in the sense of previous self of course. You’re getting there. Keep it up!

Grannmarie Fri 11-Mar-22 19:58:03

That's an achievement, Soop, DIY, well done! ? One day at a time. Enjoy your visits from Sweetie Pie, I'm sure she missed you.? Hugs for you and MrSoop, he's doing a grand job.

Many congratulations ? ??? on your special anniversary, Mr and Mrs DA! I'm off chocolate for Lent but I will raise a wee glass of champagne ? to toast your very good health, thank you!

YiaYia, sounds like you are having a wonderful holiday in Lanzarote, enjoy every minute. We stayed in Playa Blanca many years ago, we enjoyed trips to Timanfaya, the Cesar Manrique house, gardens and caves, and a sail across to Fuerteventura for the day. Happy family memories. After that holiday, the boys started going on holiday with their friends. Ages and stages!

My sisters and I enjoyed seeing Ed Byrne last night, he put on a good show, very energetic, two full hours! Lots of funny stories about family life during lockdown. The concert hall was about two thirds full, there was space in front of us and on both sides so we felt OK.

DGD and I are cooried in on the sofa with lots of cushions and throws, watching Malory Towers on iPlayer. I enjoyed those books in the 1960s, now my granddaughter, aged 10, is enjoying the series. Granddog squeezed in between us, frightened he was missing something! I have them for the weekend, DS1 and DDiL are having a wee break. Tomorrow we are going ' to the Mall' ? as DGD's Christmas vouchers are burning a hole in her pocket ! After that we're going to the swimming baths, where I was today for Aquafit, recently reopened.
Granddog can keep Papa company!

Wishing everyone the best weekend possible, *TOYA, NNGB.*??

Grannmarie Fri 11-Mar-22 23:03:59

Where is everyone tonight, has the Argy reopened? ?

ixion Fri 11-Mar-22 23:39:09

Last I heard, Grannmarie, it was still closed for staff re-training.

Not before time, I might add...

Nannyfaraway Sat 12-Mar-22 08:22:14

It's good to hear from you Soop. Hope everything continues to improve.
Dustyangel belated happy anniversary greetings for yesterday.
I've been a bit distracted lately. The family in Switzerland have now moved to Hong Kong for Tom's work.
So our grandchildren are even further away.
They arrived yesterday and now have to quarantine for 14 days

dustyangel Sat 12-Mar-22 09:35:59

How difficult for you Nannyfaraway I’m sorry.

Thankyou all for your congratulations on our Wedding Anniversary. It had to be celebrated virtually this year as I’m avoiding anything that might upset my balance and indeed Charley I’m not normally a fan of fizzy drinks of any sort myself. Champagne has to be brought out for any celebration in Portugal it seems although at the moment I’d give a lot for a decent cup of coffee.

soop I hope you continue to improve at a steady rate. I’m hoping that I do too. smile
I’m impatient with my own health.

soop Sat 12-Mar-22 13:50:54

Dear you lovely lot, a breezy, sunny greeting from Kintyre.
All behaving decently. Surgery performed at this time one month ago. Doesn't time fly when you are enjoying yourself.

I'm hoping to cheer Scotland to a victory over Italy on the rugby pitch this afternoon. I shall report back to the kitchen a little later.

soop Sat 12-Mar-22 13:51:50

dustyangel For you...special, tender hugs. x

Jaxjacky Sat 12-Mar-22 13:54:50

Sticky backed plastic worked then soop ? pleased you sound on the up, gosh, a month has gone quickly.
Lazy Saturday here, newspaper and sport.

lavendermine Sat 12-Mar-22 15:56:48

Can't believe a month has gone by soop. Pleased to hear things are improving. Please take care.

soop Sat 12-Mar-22 16:55:02

Yay! Scotland beat Italy. An entertaining game. My throat is dry from too much yelling.

A quiet end to a peaceful day. I wish you all a pleasant evening. At nine o'clock I shall raise a small G&T to our Kitcheners. Slainte! smile moon

Blossoming Sat 12-Mar-22 16:55:58

Good after dear Kitcheners. I’m pleased things have settled down soop, it really doesn’t seem like a month ago.

I have achieved very little today, I seem to have mislaid my oomph this week. Today is an ‘eat what you like’ day, we are having home cooked fish and chips tonight. Mr.B will use the Ninja to produce beautifully light and crisp food with less fat. I will resist the temptation to have a big dollop of sinful mayonnaise! Next Zoom meeting is Monday, I hope the scales are kind to me tomorrow.

I’m due to have bloods for cancer markers so we will pop in to the blood clinic at the hospital on Tuesday. Wednesday is big shop day. We’re planning a visit to a local nature reserve on Thursday, we went last year but a lot of it was closed due to Covid regulations. Everything is now operating normally and the weather forecast is good. I really have to shake myself out of this torpor and it helps me to have some sort of plan.

Hope Dustyangel and any others with problems are feeling better. TOYA flowers
