A quick welcome back to the Soops!??? I’m just about to drive OH to the Health Centre to have cortisone injections in both knees. Eek.
So pleased to hear you are both home in one piece. You can now both rest although you do have your duties to carry out 4 hourly. I hope Mr Soop is either in bed or relaxing in a chair. Soon his eyes will no longer be watering and his sight will be restored.
All you need now is Tweetie Pie to make an appearance.
Welcome home Soop and MrSoop! So glad to hear you’re back home safe after such a trying time, you must both have been exhausted. I don’t know how long recovery from cataract ops takes, but I hope Mr.Soop is soon feeling and seeing much better.
Pleased to learn you are home dear soop
I hope you have your nurses uniform ready
X
So good to hear you’re home now soop and wishing mr soop a very speedy recovery
Good to read that the Soops are back home in beautiful Kintyre. With his devoted private nurse, I`m sure Mr Soop will be up and at `em in no time at all.
We`ve just had a man here to service the hoist, he was most taken with Billy, and showed us photos of his 4 Maine Coons.
TOYA xxx
Yet more kind messages to relay to Mr Soop. He considers himself very lucky to have such a delightful "fan base". He is listening to some of his favourite classical music. It is loud but I'm just happy that he's relaxing and not fretting over garden jobs that must wait awhile.
Sweetie Pie (feral cat) called briefly in our absence. Her bed had been slept in. Our friend placed a dish of food inside her apartment. We are hoping that her next visit will be soon, and that she will come into the house for her refreshments.
We cannot go walking as Mr Soop is unable to drive for a while. A friend has kindly offered to do the supermarket shop for us. Our neighbour has offered to cut the grass. We are well blest.
I shall close down for the rest of the day. There is laundry to sort.
It is good to be back with you lovely lot. I shall meet you in our kitchen tomorrow. Please take good care of yourselves.

Thanks for the mention, Soop! Pleased to hear that you are home safely and that people were kind. Hope Mr Soop continues to improve.
GranMarie, we are still making regular trips to the recycling centre! I do not know where this stuff is coming from, it’s endless.
SueD I wish you well, good job you’d decluttered!
Pleased to see the soops back safe and sound, here’s to a swift recovery MrS.
I hope there’s some tapas left, thank you pant ?
A morning of rain and washing, the two don’t really go together, but needs must, it’ll dry in it’s own time.
Just had a quick visit to the local, it’s getting distinctly chilly out there (we sat outside), I’m home to prep dinner where I can have a glass of the hard stuff, wine as opposed to shandy!
Bet the air is so clear Hireath gives you an appetite.
Have a gentle evening all x
Hiraeth, the Südtirol food is lovely. We used to go every year and enjoyed the walking. The strudels are lovely, as are the speck and the polenta. Hope you had a lovely holiday.
And all the different types of dumplings Bellanonna beautiful walking holiday thanks
Oh, yes, those too! Glad you’re enjoying it all.
Sounds wonderful, Hiraeth

‘Evening All’
Another here soop glad to hear that you and your dear man are home together, tired most probably, but the right side of his double cataracts procedure performed in Glasgow yesterday. I hope you both rest up well in the next few days. You’ve both been through a lot just lately one way and another. x
Welcome home Mr and Mrs soop. I’m sure the eyes will stop watering soon and the patient will be able to see your beautiful views clearly. Rest well tonight you two, a long sleep is well deserved.
A productive day here. A small piece of furniture arrived early enough to allow us to take the packaging to the tip and go on to a garden centre for a robust pot mover and a very good coffee. Then it was home to move far too many garden pots and then a a shed. Should I ever contemplate such a thing again I will lie down in a darkened room until the urge passes, goodness what a struggle. We were grumbled at by the groundsmen laying a new patio next door, if we’d asked they would have moved it for us. It would have been kind but we thought wrong as our neighbours were paying for their time today. It was an achievement for us and we’re happy we did it as the new position is much more convenient and looks as good as a shed can.
A restorative glass of wine will come later. I already have my feet up. Take care everyone, enjoy your evenings.
Wonderful to know that you and MrSoop are home safe and sound. A speedy recovery to MrScoop who will delight in the improvement of his sight once the watering eyes clear and he can focus again. It wont take long. Keep ministering the drops and all will be well.
Relax and rest in your own home and of course, there is nothing like your own bed! It's sounds like a tough few days so well done and positive wishes for the future. Keep safe
Lovely photo Hiraeth thanks for sharing, your holiday sounds lovely, I’ve enjoyed a few similar walking holidays in the past too
Glad you got the pots and the shed moved cornergran sounds like very hard work and you definitely deserve your wine ?
Best wishes to Mr Soop, it sounds like quite an ordeal having both eyes treated at once, but I’m sure it will be worth it.
Good afternoon lovely Kitcheners, I hope everyone is having a good day. It’s cloudy here but dry, I’m feeling better today and am going for a wee walk, I need some fresh air. TOYA
Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!

Enjoy your walk. Its cooler and showery today, but I managed a wee walk on my own this morning. I'm missing my sisteres already!
I'm sitting on my sister's sofa with her lovely big black rescue cat on my lap. I'm helping to look after him while my sisters are in Chicago.

Love the rescue cat Grannmarie what a handsome fellow he is.
Not been a good week here,I’ve had an awful sinus infection and kept getting optical migraines, antibiotics and sprays seem to be doing the trick.Doctor thinks I’m probably stressed at the moment,it was my aunts funeral yesterday, it went well but a sad day.Onwards and upwards it’s a warm sunny day and I’m sitting in the garden.
Glad your feeling better Blossoming
Enjoy your evening all.
Sincere condolences, YiaYia, a sad time indeed. Take good care of yourself. Sitting in your sunny garden will do you a power of good.
Thanks for admiring the cat, he is a fine specimen and good natured.?⬛
Hallo everyone - I am a bit of a stranger here I know and for that I apologise. I do read most days but forget to post.
I am pleased Mr Soop's cataract operation went well and you are both safely back home. What a year it has been for you both but onwards and upwards as I keep telling myself.
I am here to find a cosy chair to lick my wounds. I have (stupidly at my age) taken up Nordic walking and yesterday tripped over one of my sticks face first into the rough pavement. I was sent to A&E as I had a large bump on my forehead for a CT scan. Fortunately everything was clear but I am a sight to behold with grazes on forehead, nose and chin and two very black eyes.
I sent DH to the shops though for some cake and I have left it on the side with a pot of tea while I just sit in the corner and soak up the kind atmosphere here.
