Grannmarie that really is a handsome boy- what is his name?

cornergran I agree, I also would not have asked for help especially as somebody else was paying the fellows for the work they were doing. At least your shed is in its new spot, you can sit down and admire it now and enjoy a glass or three later.
I do hope Mr Soop is listening to instructions and resting. I am sure he would not like a busload of nagging Nans visiting him specifically to give him "advice".

soop Sat 21-May-22 15:36:41

Granmarie That is one handsome boy cat. Beautiful markings.

Ali23 corner mrshat Urms Septimia Jax Mr Soop was the final patient of the afternoon. By 5 o'clock, he was escorted by a nurse to where I had been waiting since noon. He could not focus. In fact, when he entered the taxi to take us back to the hotel, he missed the seat and sat on the floor. I believe that he should have been rested for a wee bit longer before being released. hmm

Thank you, Hiraeth for sharing the beautiful photograph.

corner You most certainly deserve more than one glass of restorative wine. Cheers!

Mr Soop is dozing in his favourite chair. He now has ear-ache. If it persists, we shall ask the GP for his opinion on Monday.

We were convinced that Swallows were beginning to build a nest under the canopy of our porch. There was a tremendous amount of activity throughout yesterday. Although they have been swooping hither and thither today, there is no sign of nest building. We remain hopeful as they are showing some serious interest in the site.

Charleygirl Mr Soop would be delighted to welcome a bus-load of you lovely lot to our home. I shall whisper the following...he's chuffed to bits that you care. wink

Grannmarie Sat 21-May-22 15:46:21

Thanks, Charleygirl, his name is Jack.

brook2704 Sat 21-May-22 15:59:40

You have been in the wars DragonflyHope you feel better soon?

Grannmarie Sat 21-May-22 16:37:11

Hello, Soop,, I'm glad MrSoop is resting, very restorative. He'll soon be better than before, IYKWIM!

AWW, Dragonfly, sounds like you've got a right sore one, take it easy, hope you heal soon.

Well done Cornergran, that's a lot of hard work. I've just been rearranging my planters on the patio now that it's been pressure washed, I'm out of puff!

Thanks for admiring Jack, Soop and Brook. My nephew is taking over flat and cat sitting duties from tonight but I'll still pop in to visit Jack. He's very restful company, good for my anxieties!

TOYA.?

That’s a beautiful cat! We spent the afternoon filling pots and hanging baskets with fuschias and other mainly purple or pink flowers! I like aat least one rose in a pot and found a beautiful purple rose at our local garden centre. OH only had one cortisone injection yesterday - he thought he was having both knees done. The other one will be in a couple of weeks. I spent the morning doing a batch of WI admin so what with gardening too, I’m exhausted. Fortunately it’s OH’s turn to cook so we’re having chicken korma and all the trimmings. Glad Mr Soop is coming along. BTW, I’m wearing my new magic trousers and they’re very comfortable. Also, whoever recommended Kennedy’s chocolates - they’re delicious?

Grannmarie Sat 21-May-22 17:01:13

Thank you, LLL.
Your plants ? sound gorgeous!
May I ask you which supplier you got your magic trousers from? I looked on a****n but there were so many suppliers I wasn't sure who to choose.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 21-May-22 17:18:48

Ruby and Daisy.co.uk

soop Sat 21-May-22 17:25:44

Ladyleftfieldlover Do your magic trousers make allowances for an unlimited intake of Kennedy's chocolates? If so, I shall treat myself to both. grin

Dragonfly I must have missed something. What is it that is giving you trouble?

Yia Comforting thoughts winging their way to you. flowers

Time for log-off. I shall join you all again tomorrow. Enjoy your evening. smile moon

‘Evening All’

Beautiful boy cat Granmarie isn’t it lovely he’s got a nice nature too? Jack. A good strong name for him. Oh like Duncan - the gorgeous lion boy cat. He could be an animal model I think.
?

Home after a small family catch up with my stepfather joining us. The Boy Wonder and L’il Miss showed us the crowns they had been asked to make for school for a celebratory tea party next week. What a lovely Jubilee celebration that will be for them all.
?

dragonfly I’ve a feeling those Nordic sticks will be at the charity shop next week. Poor you though to have tripped over the bluddy things. Have you tried arnica on those bruises? It helps. So will a glass of wine I think ....

dragonfly46 Sat 21-May-22 17:41:41

Oh Urms definitely the wine and my bruises are more like puddles of blood so I think arnica is not the answer at least not yet. I am really too old for this and you are right about the sticks!!

soop I had the idea that keeping fit would be a good idea so took up Nordic walking which is walking with sticks attached to your hands. Yesterday I tripped over my stick and landed on my face not being able to put my arms out. I made quite a clatter!
I have decided that Urms has the right idea and I am going to try lazy gran - think it is safer.
I hope Mr soop's earache clears up soon.

Charleygirl5 Sat 21-May-22 18:05:43

dragonfly you may not realise it but your Nordic sticks may have saved you from at the very least one Colles fracture and maybe even two which is what can happen if one puts out both arms to save one from a fall. I do appreciate you have other aches and pains and bruises but no fractures.

I do agree that the local charity shop is the best place for them. They will be cherished by somebody.

soop we would be coming to nag and I have a feeling Mr Soop would not like that at present.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 21-May-22 18:20:52

I thought I would share these beautiful roses, a gift from my neighbour.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 21-May-22 18:29:47

Beautiful roses Granny Gravy!

BlueBalou Sat 21-May-22 19:11:58

So glad that you’re both safely home soop, that’s quite an ordeal for your DH on top of your recent surgery ??
Hiraeth I am envious! We had to absolutely wonderful holidays walking in the Tyrol, both organised by our DS and DDIL. Such amazing scenery and great memories.
Time for a G+T methinks, I deserve it after a fraught few days ?. DH is walking DDog so all’s peaceful here!

Blossoming Sat 21-May-22 19:21:45

What a beautiful cat Granmarie, enjoy the cuddles. Condolences YiaYia, I hope your sinuses clear up soon. I agree with your doc, you’ve had your troubles lately.
I used to enjoy Nordic walking Dragonfly but had to stop following my bowel cancer diagnosis. I keep thinking of starting again but my balance isn’t good enough at the moment. That is a horrendous fall, I know from experience how hard pavements are. I’m glad nothing is broken, enjoy some cake, find a cushion and get comfy here with us [smile{

Jaxjacky Sat 21-May-22 19:36:11

Grab a chair, glass of wine, do nothing dragonfly it’ll take time.
Yia fraught times, ocular migraines are very interrupting, you too need time for body and soul.
I’d like a new shed corner trouble is they get filled so quickly, ours needs a good clear out, again.
Hope the ear issue disappears soop.
I have chicken and leek pasties to shove in the oven, shaped by my own hand!
Enjoy your evening x

Blossoming Sat 21-May-22 19:46:08

Charleygirl your busload of nagging Nans made me laugh. I’m glad MrSoop is resting and I hope he doesn’t have an ear infection.
LLL I am the Kennedy’s chocolate addict, I cannot tell a lie! They are so delicious though. I must look up the magic trousers, everyone seems to love them.
Those are gorgeous roses GG, I went for a walk along the riverside today and the roses growing on the banks smelled lovely. The riverbank is transformed in summer with all the wildflowers and greenery.

Have a lovely evening all, bottoms up grin

Grandmajean Sat 21-May-22 19:59:25

Here's my black boy. Also a rescue and called Jack.

Chocolatelovinggran Sat 21-May-22 20:04:14

Ouch dragonfly- this keeping fit lark is dangerous, isn't it?

Chocolatelovinggran Sat 21-May-22 20:09:04

Blossoming, I, too, love this time of year when a walk past gardens lifts the spirit with the sweet fragrance of roses, wisteria, et al.
