Couldn’t resist grin What do you all make of Prince Harry’s latest venture into the world of public speaking?

Whole site's gone bonkers.

Toodle-oo.

Ciao. Off for another day trying to get travel insurance.

Volver* you did say something about Kate's parenting skills though, that you would have expected her to have brought up a better behaved child who didn't need spanking I believe. Maybe that is what Rosie is referring to?

She said this

“ If I'd behaved in public like that when I was four I'd have got a skelp and been taken home with no tea.”

No mention of Kate, no suggestion Louis should be spanked.

Well this is fun being awake as usual at 5 and taking on a new role as S H ….

Oh, I do remember that now.

I remember feeling sorry that any small child should be hit and deprived of food for naughtiness.
I wouldn't have got away with it but would have been taken firmly by the hand and removed from the situation.

Just imagine the furore if Catherine had lost it, walloped Louis in public and told him he was to have no tea!
?

Ciao. Off for another day trying to get travel insurance.

Oh, good luck.

I think I used allcleartravel.co.uk last time as staysure.co.uk had gone up in price.

As has been said, what a silly thread this has become so goodbye one and all.

Callistemon21 Wed 27-Jul-22 10:25:09

Oh, I see that has come up blue - it was a helpful hint, not advertising!

Many other firms are available.

As for tit for tat rebuttal, it's below us at our age surely?

You would think but hypocrisy abounds with some posters especially on the H & M threads.

I’ve advised before not to rise to the bait as the usual aim is to get the thread shut down.

Carry on discussing H & M and ignore the ones with nothing better to do grin

This site is fascinating! No matter the age, people are just…people. smile

Just to say. If I report people and posts, I tell them.

No sadly it's not fascinating, not even unusual.
Where ever keyboard warriors land disharmony breaks out.
I sometimes wonder if entertainment at the expense of others is half the reason some people post.
It's certainly not to exchange ideas or foster goodwill.
But maybe I'm being too telescopic in my analysis today!
In short it seems to me that most people want a lively exchange.
Some just want to be right.

Megan is being sued by her Half-sister for saying in Oprah
interview that she grew up as an only child. Megan’s lawyers
claim the details can’t be false because it is ‘a textbook example
of a subjective statement about how a person feels about her
childhood ‘ .

Callistemon21 Wed 27-Jul-22 15:19:12

As her half-sister is 17 years older than her and her half-brother 14 years older, then it would feel like growing up as an only child I would have thought.

And her parents split when she was six too, so yes.

Lucca Wed 27-Jul-22 15:31:34

I do not report either. I recently started a thread lamenting “over reporting”

volver Wed 27-Jul-22 15:33:36

I report when someone goes beyond the line of acceptability. And I'm proud to do it and "own up" to it. When the post gets deleted 5 minutes later because its so blooming offensive, I feel justified.

Anniebach Wed 27-Jul-22 15:38:41

Callistemon depends if her half siblings lived at home ? I am
14 years older than my brother he certainly didn’t think he
was on only child.

maddyone Wed 27-Jul-22 16:00:02

Well I think the thread has calmed down a bit now, although there are a large number of deleted posts. I’ve no idea what they said thankfully because they’d been deleted before I had opportunity to read them.
So as you were……

If she lived with her mother after her parents split up then it might feel like growing up as an only child.

Sparklefizz Wed 27-Jul-22 17:26:07

She missed out the crucial words "I felt ....."

Anniebach Wed 27-Jul-22 17:59:20

If both parents had stayed together wouldn’t affect being or
feeling an only child, only not having siblings makes one an
only child.

eazybee Wed 27-Jul-22 18:48:47

This I suppose, is Meghan's truth?
The facts are she has half-siblings, which means she is not an only child, never mind the age difference.

Just popped back to see my post was reported and deleted which is pretty automatic when someone reports. This one will be reported/deleted too I imagine.

Raw, nerves, hitting are words that spring to mind!

Yes, it was me.

The things you said about people were disgusting.

I won't be reporting this post of yours though. This one's just pathetic.
