Yes MissAdventure that’s whelks. Actually, as a child I knew them as “wulks” due to the Dundee dialect.
Baggytrazzas I could have been less graphic but snotters is the word I used as a child and still would if I saw them. I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw anyone eating them, no-one else in my immediate family liked them except my g’parents.

My nan called them "whilks"
Someone with a funny eye would be "One eye and a whilk".

Tripe; I ate it once as a child and I can recall the taste even now.
I cannot drink milk on its own, (years of warm school milk) and don't like it on cereal, although I use it in tea and coffee and for sauces.

Tongue - how could you taste something that may well be tasting you back?

MissAdventure I remember as a small child my Gran used to buy an ox tongue from the butcher. She boiled it, placed it between 2 plates and put a heavy brick on top to compress the meat. It was left like that for days. Then sliced for sandwiches. I can still remember how disgusted I felt as a curious 4 year old when I asked what it was. It was the set up with the brick that made me ask or I’d have been none the wiser ?

I used to love winkles (must try them again one day), but it’s a no from me for whelks - I still remember the horror of trying to chew and swallow the only one I tried and I was too polite, then, to spit the damn thing out. Eels, fat, and anything that could be described as offal would be on the list as well.

Though how much are they offering? A fiver and I’m out, a thousand and I could be persuaded….

Tripe and any insect. Veal because of seeing the vealers on my nanna's farm. Fish should not 'pong' if it is fresh! I eat heaps of raw fish and it doesn't smell at all. Just sayin'.

Coconut, custard, peanut butter.

Fried and poached eggs. Any kind of custard, sago, rice, tapioca puddings or anything with milk. I also was never a fan of warm milk at school so I only have milk in coffees and the milk must be cold. I would add junket and jellies.

Chicken livers.

Gefelta fish, had it in Israel during a festival and was forced to eat it as I was surrounded by locals who were very proud of it.

Frogs legs or any other bits of a frog.

Anything that lives in a shell.

Tripe, brains, chitterlings.

Yes, the kale shake would seem like heaven on earth after that right enough. Although I would need to turn away while they were being blended. I agree the amount of money on offer is directly relative to what I could stomach.

Did a foodie tour on the back of scooters in Vietnam once upon a time, the only thing I balked at was fermented eggs ….bleurgh!

Meant to say andouillette is a sausage like shape comprising of various innards, smells like wee. Rick Stein commented it's an acquired taste, I don't think I could ever a acquire such a taste if I lived to a 100!

When I was a child I often had tea with a friend whose family kept chickens so on occasions we would be given a boiled egg which made me feel sick because I knew where the egg had come from and it wasn't out of a box Of course the egg couldn't be fresher but I'm a bit queasy about eggs, I can eat them sometimes other times they make me feel nauseous, I have a friend who is the same about bananas.

A lot of the above, though if I were genuinely starving, I suspect that I would overcome some of my squeamishness.

Perhaps not totally though - I doubt I could ever bring myself to eat worms or grubs, and some seafoods do look very grub-like!
