Transgender Dylan Mulvaney has won woman of the year 🤣🤣 you couldn’t make it up. Not one woman was worth the win. What do you think 🤔

Doodledog Mon 16-Oct-23 14:56:40

Couldn't agree more Quokka. But can you explain what that has to do with sexuality please?

Madgran77 Mon 16-Oct-23 14:58:29

What the fuck are you all doing comparing transgender with domestic violence, Hamas, and all the evils perpetrated (usually) by men. Get a grip laydees!

Noone is comparing per se. It was the wider issue of not saying/doing anything if something does not impact on one personally ...was the point being made!!

Quokka Mon 16-Oct-23 15:14:39

I couldn’t give a damn is some man wants to call himself a woman. I do give a damn about the war in the Middle East, Ukraine, domestic violence.

They DO impinge on my mental well being. Do they not do that to most of us? I worry about the state of the world. So do many. Innocents being killed on all sides. The possibility of escalation. The state of the planet. Trump. And so on.

Let’s get things in proportion. It’s only a man wanting/pretending/trying to be a woman. So what?

I was so incensed with all those frilly little knickers being in such a twist!

Doodledog Mon 16-Oct-23 15:24:14

You are being deliberately goady now, and you know it.

Patronise as much as you like, but it won't make your argument any less hysterical (see, I can do sexist too).

Galaxy Mon 16-Oct-23 16:52:10

I am able to think about what I want for tea and the situation in Ukraine, I am sorry if you are unable to do the same.

Galaxy Mon 16-Oct-23 16:53:04

Yes the sexism doesnt take long to surface does it.

Galaxy

No, and anyway, it's a long time since my knickers were little grin.

It's so difficult as a girlie - I can't think about two things at once, and when I get an idea in my head I get into such a twist. Men have a much better time being able to be rational and calm, don't they? 😢

Smileless2012 Mon 16-Oct-23 17:47:50

I'm good at multi tasking and multi thinking too.

Exactly Madgran. It's obvious what point is being made here and I don't see what type of underwear we may or may not be wearing has to do with it.

A long time since mine were little too Doodle and they were never frilly.

No my womanhood is not threatened by trans women either, if anything I feel held up by many trans women out there because they have been at the front lines fighting for LGB rights from the beginning

Doodledog Mon 16-Oct-23 18:45:30

My womanhood is threatened by nobody. All women's rights, on the other hand, were hard won and would be easily lost.

In that case you have to wonder why it took until 2015 to add the T to LGB for Stonewall? Was it maybe because it’s a myth about the trans woman starting the original riot? Listen to Fred Sargeant who was actually there.

Smileless2012 Mon 16-Oct-23 19:35:29

Like you Doodledog, my womanhood isn't threatened by anyone either and as has already been discussed on this thread, you don't have to be personally affected by something to stand against it.

Mollygo Mon 16-Oct-23 19:39:41

My womanhood is intact without having to lie about it or needing others to support a lie.
I’m fascinated by the VS implications that those who support women’s rights don’t care for trans.
The difference is that I support the right to be trans, not the lying that is involved, by TW taking female sporting awards, awards for women, and accessing female safe spaces.

JaneJudge Mon 16-Oct-23 20:57:46

They are all aggressive young men in balaclavas at these rallies as well. They are doing more damage to trans people than women are

You are doubles correct that I was getting ‘goads’ Doodle. I love the way you put that, and the fact that you had the nous to realise it was deliberate.

Fair does.

Doodledog Wed 18-Oct-23 16:30:51

No, I said 'goady', not 'goaded'. There is a difference.

Frilly knickers? Not caring about the Middle East? Laydees? Swearing doesn't bother me in the slightest, but it is not the norm on here, so that is potentially goady too.

They're deliberate digs at people who happen to hold a different view from yours about male bodies in female spaces - a perfectly legal view that's been tested in court.

Who was goading you?

Smileless2012 Wed 18-Oct-23 17:35:32

Maybe our rational arguments have been goading Doodledoghmm.

So where do you draw the line about lying or accepting other’s lies?
You think it’s OK for males to lie about their sex.
What about Boris’s lies? Do you accept them with equal dismissal of So what?

Lying TW cheat and cause harm.
Many people feel the same about BJ’s lies.

How do you differentiate between a man who cheats and lies to take awards or safe spaces from many AHF and someone whose lies affect many people?

Do you justify it because it’s only females being harmed by the TW?
Sounds like it.

VioletSky Wed 18-Oct-23 18:31:26

Quokka you have certainly stepped into a dark place lol

The whole of "Gender dysphoria" reduced to "lying", as if that will cure the issue for them. I am sure conversion therapy providers everywhere thought so too until it failed and it became known transition was the only cure. I am afraid there is no empathy or compassion to be found in this void, I have searched at length

Galaxy Wed 18-Oct-23 18:44:53

Would you like to name names as to who doesnt have empathy or 8s this another one of your generalised attacks that are of course the opposite of kind or compassionate.

Galaxy Wed 18-Oct-23 18:46:38

You are quite fickle as well in that not long ago you were saying you agreed with most I said but now apparently I reside in a void.

VioletSky Wed 18-Oct-23 18:48:39

Galaxy like myself, you don't have to be here, there is a better way than this

Mollygo Wed 18-Oct-23 19:19:42

Galaxy

No of course not. She will ignore any others’ compassion for the trans people who, along with females are suffering because of the activities of the cheating, lying trans.

That’s the virtue of VS or even vs. You can see only what you want to see and claim that only you are compassionate or whatever adjective is chosen this time.

It doesn’t have to be like that.
there is a better way than this true, and many people know it, but it’s definitely vs to imply that yours is the only way VS.
