Lego kits

My daughter (37) makes them and has them on display, we bought her one for Christmas. They’re good for people to switch off and concentrate making them up.

They are very expensive though!

My great nephew (in his 20s) is a huge Lego fan. He got the Titanic kit for Christmas! It's huge.

My son does them with his 9yr old son they both enjoy it so much. He bought the Millenium Falcon but lack of space means it’s still in the box. Why not it’s a nice relaxing pastime for any age.

My nephew has made the Titanic, recommend to him that he buys the lighting kit, it looks impressive,my nephew saw it after building and cannot be bothered to take it apart to fit the lights

My Daughter, 42 with no children built the Millennium Falcon.

My grandson now has the Millenium Falcon after pooling lots of money. It costs well over £100 which means only well off children can get this. And what do you do with it, too expensive to throw out, so maybe sell it? They should make these things in plastic Airfix kits to stick together and paint, just as much fun at a fraction of the cost, and they look totally realistic. But I presume Star Wars has a deal with Lego so it can't be done by anyone.

I have an adult grandson who is very into them had a Ferrari for this Christmas but…..

There is a chap here who rents out sets. We have rented a couple for DS1.

I’m sure as my son spent so much money it was more for him than his son but they both enjoy time together without chatty daughter/sister piping up. 😂

DH has built several sets including Concorde which is very impressive. I have just bought him a set for his birthday. I agree they are very expensive.

Amazing what you can do with it but some models are just too big for yer average semi!

I hope he can sort whatever is causing it so he doesn't lose customers. it is such a brilliant idea. Those kits are huge and expensive, and really, what can you do with them once completed?

Our guilty pleasure is Legomasters Australia, what they build is incredible and it is fun to watch.

I recently bought my other half the James Bond, Aston Martin Lego set because a) he is a huge James Bond fan and b) it is excellent physiotherapy and helps cognitively too. My other half has Primary Progressive MS.

Our grandsons both love Lego, so it's something the 3 of them can do together.

I keep an eye out on our local facebook selling sites for kits as well as charity shops and pick up kits & bits and bobs as i go along.

My adult son has always been a Lego fan and has recently got back into building. He suffers from anxiety and finds building Lego therapeutic.

I agree the sets are very expensive. Lego seem to be catering more to adults these days and have some fantastic sets. I like the houses which you create a whole street with if you get them all.

I have one of the flower bouquets and the orchid - which looks quite realistic. I bought them with the idea of building them myself but my DS ended up doing them for me.

At Alnwick Castle Gardens they have a model of the whole site made out of Lego. It’s fascinating.
