What is the perceived threat if photos are posted of babies, toddlers and young children if their faces are shown?
We have so many photos of the backs of children or their faces blurred. If the Prince and Princess of Wales are not bothered (Harry and Meghan don’t allow it of course..) why is the rest of the world so concerned?
Maybe I’m being naïve, but I’d like to be enlightened.

Because children have rights that should be respected and we shouldn't treat them like property

No one is suggesting treating children like property. J

If the OP was asking a genuine question I would be the first to sympathise and explain. See my previous quote history. But I feel sure she is trying to be goading although I am baffled as to her rationale.

As many previous posters have pointed out, she has talked of "hysteria" surrounding child safe guarding issues and basically claimed that Spain is immune from paedophiles or child abuse. Even though this assertion defies common sense and a previous poster offering evidence to the contrary.

The OP's comments in my opinion have not been sincere and contain a somewhat mocking and superior edge to them and I agree with Iam64 that she she has been rude and inaccurate.

Yes it is treating children like property

There is sharing images and videos of minor children to close friends and family, people who see them often and love them

Or there is sharing pictures or videos of minor children to strangers for attention, likes or even money (family vloggers make incredible amounts). The children have no say, are not considered in this attention grabbing frenzy and are treated like objects

This why many people do not want their children on other people's social media

I misunderstood Violet. Your post followed the one where I mentioned a distressed 4 year old climbing on his teacher’s knee and being comforted. I thought you were implying this was treating a child like property.

Also, if children want a hug they should always get one, definitely

If you had to do the safeguarding training I’ve done over the years you’d realise why no photos should be passed on or printed on social media. However I don’t do Facebook or instragram etc but have been told how many kids are posing on there with parents approval. Just don’t get this at all .
