Celebrities with annoying laughs

Elaine Paige. It just seems so false.

Grandmadinosaur On a whim I emailed Radio 2 as Elaine Page's snorting was just over the top. I had a reply from Malcolm, the producer, to say that it was perfectly natural and she didn't put it on.

Yes I dislike Elaine Page's laugh.

I find the guests and hosts on the One Show irritating, especially Alex Jones, for giggling all the time. I reckon they have all had more than a few drinks before the show.

As a child (maybe 9 or 10), I was asked by a classmate why I "laughed like that". That was the first time I was made aware that my laught was perhaps not exactly like everyone else's, though I can't hear the difference myself, but even if I could, it would be very difficult for me to alter what is a very natural and spontaneous reaction.
Such a personal comment upset me then, and to some degree still does.For that reason, even if I find a celebrity's laugh slightly annoying, I wouldn't dream of suggesting that they are putting it on, or of raising it with their employer.

That isnt a dig at you for starting the thread, Sparklefizz, or to anyone responding. I just wanted to answer from the laugher's angle rather than the listener's.

I just dislike Elaine Paige.

I loved Terry Wogans laugh.

When I was working I was told hat I have a filthy laugh, I was quite proud of that.

Elaine Page!! I only have to hear her to switch over. So irritating.

I must have a "distinctive" laugh I'm afraid...

Once, my husband lecturered at the same university as my daughter was a student and I'd driven over to pick him up. We were chatting in the hallway to another academic on the way out.
My daughter appeared from nowhere and said "My friend just said "I thought I heard you hooting in the lobby - that laugh has to be related"!
She knew it was me.

And yes, my daughter has a loud and distinctive laugh. 😬

I quite like Amanda Holden's cackle 🤣
I only watch her in that Italian villa programme with Alan Carr.
Separately, they can be really annoying but together they bounce off each other and they're very funny.

Kemah Bob's voice and laugh is really irritating .
I had to switch the House of Games off when she was a contestant .

I can't watch anything with Jimmy Carr in case he laughs and that is a pity because I think that 9 out of 10 Cats might be quite entertaining.

I quite like Jules Hudson, but find his laugh annoying.

His laugh reminds me of the late Sid James.

The worst laugh of all is Rusty Lee (female chef) because she says something as if it is a joke (it isn't) and then laughs uncontrollably. I think what makes it worse is the fact that she is laughing at absolutely nothing.
