Good morning, Mick, from a dark and chilly Torbay.

I've been awake since 3.30 a.m. for no particular reason so a quick pop in here then hope to go back to sleep. Hope everyone is as well as possible as we bid farewell to January at last!

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning, no sun yesterday and no sun today, It is dry and I am thankful for that

I need a spring coat so that is my new project. I will not be rushing it, my aim today is to prep that pattern, set up the machine and decide what lining to use. I had a busy day yesterday and will be having an easier day today

Have a good day

Bonnybanko Wed 31-Jan-24 06:01:05

Good morning my friends from a dry and blustery east Fife. I’m off to Dunelm today to buy a cabin suitcase for my forthcoming trip to Tenerife.

Keep cosy and have a safe day

grandMattie Wed 31-Jan-24 06:07:48

Good morning from Bristol. It’s chillier today.
Me too, I woke up around 3, but made myself lie there and, astonishingly, I went back to sleep! I was very tired.
I was very busy yesterday, again. Appointments regarding my lease extension - the solicitor sent me wrong papers, I had to call her to clarify, etc.
I walked to and from Waitrose with a heavy shopping trolley.
I made three batches of marmalade…
Today, I need to wash and label the jars, do my Spanish homework and faff around. I’m hoping to get back to sewing.
The poorly and unhappy are always on my mind. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is forecast a cloudy day with rain later.

Yesterdays sea front walk was accompanied by a cold wind which encouraged speed. Managed some dust removal, will finish today, maybe! Finished a booking process for us both to begin an AgeUK Tai Chi class to try to deal with our balance issues. We’re both as wobbly as Weebles. The instructor may need luck when we show up on Friday.

Mr C has requested we venture out for breakfast, seemed a good idea to me so that’s what we’ll do.

Look after yourselves everyone. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Pantglas2 Wed 31-Jan-24 06:27:16

And a very good morning all from me and my chamberpot ☕️ in north Wales!

Shan't be here much longer as a friend and I are hopping on a train to Birmingham to meet another friend as we’re having an overnight jolly with our bingo winnings 🤗. Bull Ring here come….😂

We’ve won just over a thousand in the last 12 months and this is our third outing, the last two in Liverpool where we got a deal at Radisson Blu - magic!

Enjoy a lie in you early wakers and your brekkie out with Mr C, Cornergran - I’m looking forward to 48 hrs of scoffing/no cooking 😋

A good day for all please 🌞x

Good morning everyone from south Glos.
Have a lovely trip Pantglas, how nice to have a few days away 😊
Dentist this morning and I really need to get the car washed somewhere, it’s filthy from all the mud and salt on the roads and lanes around here.
I need to do some garden tidying when I get back, so that’s the plan for later.
Take care 🌹

Morning all 👋 I have had a broken night, woke at 1.20 am still awake at 3.51am then I must have dozed off until 6.30. Washing machine is on already. I have the gym first thing, then I am going into Southend with DD to check out the party venue for the 8yr olds ninth birthday next month.

Safe journey tomorrow Sar53

pantglas2 enjoy your time with your pals.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Bellasnana Wed 31-Jan-24 07:17:33

Good morning from Malta where it is 15°C and cloudy. The rain never materialised yesterday and we had blue skies and sunshine all day.

As usual I’m with my two little treasures today. They’ve had their porridge and I’ve washed and dressed them. We spend the morning playing, reading, Nana ‘singing’ and acting daft which they find amusing.

Yesterday the painter came to plaster the hole in my wall. I’ve given up trying to get hold of next door’s owner(it’s rented out) to address the damp coming from their side. I’ll just have to live with it for now as I’m sick of camping out in the spare room and want to get back into mine!.

Have fun Pantglas and Bonnybanko.

Thoughts always with Baggs, Urmston and all who are having a hard time.☀️

kittylester Wed 31-Jan-24 07:18:47

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

DH is off to the gym, our cleaners will appear at 8.45 and I need to do the ironing. From being very busy in the lead up to Christmas, I am feeling somewhat lacking in direction now.
Must sort myself out.

Have the best day possible all.

Pittcity Wed 31-Jan-24 07:26:07

Good morning from a chilly, dry Colchester. The dawning sky is an orangey grey. Overcast and in single figures is today's forecast.
Usual Wednesday morning coffee meetup in the city centre. Grocery shopping later.
Love to all 🦩 x

monk08 Wed 31-Jan-24 07:26:11

Good morning all from a chilly Black Friday heavy frost overnight.
DH has an early drs phone appt regarding his gout, dare say more blood tests will be needed.

We have a carvery booked for later last of the discount vouchers.
Pantglas safe journey enjoy your time in Brum if you're arriving grand central you will get to see Ozzy the bull.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. DF who is still trying to move house is coming to see me this morning so ie pact we shall be chatting over the horrors of buying and selling.
I expect another quiet afternoon, wearing my large black boot seems to tire me out.
Best wishes to all

Urmstongran Wed 31-Jan-24 07:45:01

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and Alexa tells me it’s 1°C. No frost about though which is good.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where there is a hard frost and a beautiful sunrise. My car is being collected for a service at 8.30. I’ve no idea when I shall get it back so it looks like being a day at home. If it comes back before one o’clock I shall manage to get to writer’s group this afternoon. If not, I’ll have a local walk.
Have the best day you can folks.

Gingster Wed 31-Jan-24 08:00:25

Good morning all and it’s grey but dry and still here in Essex.

Dh is talking about going fishing and I will walk up to town as it’s market day and then on to the pub to meet ‘my lovely girl’ for lunch. She’s expecting her second baby in a few weeks and her little two yr old is at nursery , so we’re meeting up for a quiet chat while we can.

I have all the family coming on Sunday so will pop into M and S for some tasty treats.

Have a lovely break Pantglas .
Hope you find a suitable case Bonny .

Take care all 🌷

Gala Wed 31-Jan-24 08:11:24

Good morning from a very grey Sefton. Sunny periods this morning are forecast - looks highly unlikely at the moment. Rain later this afternoon....looks far more likely.
A busy Wednesday as usual. A zoom zumba class first thing, then Pilates in our nearby market town. Lunch & an hour to draw breath then nursery pickup. We will try to keep our 4 y o GD out of mum & dad's hair as they both work from home today. We will stay for tea. No cooking today.😁
Enjoy your 'jolly' Pantglas. A grand way to spend your winnings. Thoughts with those struggling with life.

Marydoll Wed 31-Jan-24 08:11:33

Good morning all from a windy Glasgow, where it is 7°C.

Enjoy your trip Pants.

Alygran Wed 31-Jan-24 08:13:04

Good morning from North Yorkshire. A bright start and pretty sunrise.
My new front door looks lovely. I now need to sort the joiner to do the wood surround as soon as possible.
I’m off to the seaside today to meet a friend and have fish and chips. The steps up from the prom to the car park will be a challenge after a month of this dreadful cough.
Wishing you all a good day.

Grandmabatty Wed 31-Jan-24 08:15:46

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° with grey skies. It's quite breezy too. Pantglas enjoy your trip. Grannygravy I hope you can get a nap at some point. Ash did you fall back asleep?
Yesterday dgs1 had a good day at nursery and his appetite has returned. Dgs2 was such a sunny wee boy too. My uncle was discharged from hospital and given the all clear so he's resting in his holiday home in Spain.
Today is my quiet day. I love having a long lie (7.15) compared to the previous two days. I shall potter about the house and visit mum this afternoon. Some more clearing stuff out is needed and I have admin to sort but nothing urgent. A Tesco delivery is due tonight and I have chicken curry for dinner. What's not to like? Have a good day all

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 31-Jan-24 08:23:46

Good morning from a dull but dry Lyme Regis.

Fossil hunting didn’t realise any results, but I guess if it was that easy there would be any left to find, to many large rocks and boulders for me though so I sat on the sand with the dog and listened to the sound of hammering, it was a nice peaceful time there.
Off to take MzOops for her morning swim soon, I stand on shore fretting and time her, then flail my arms around so that she can see she has to get out. Then a coffee and something for her to eat then home, hot shower then breakfast, it’s exhausting and I’m not the one swimming.
Beach hut beckons for this afternoon. Then GS goes back to university.
Have a good day everyone.

brook2704 Wed 31-Jan-24 08:27:34

Good morning everyone from sunny Tenerife, we’ve still got a few more days here before heading back next week to the cold Inverness weather
Enjoy your trip pantglas a lovely way to spend your winnings - have fun!
We’ve had a couple of busy days out and about on the local buses exploring La Laguna and Santa Cruz, lots of interesting architecture and things to see but quite busy. I much prefer a slower pace of life these days so we’re taking it easy today and going down into Puerto de la Cruz for some shopping and people watching - we’ll find a nice cafe on the seafront to sit and watch the world go by.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings

Jaxjacky Wed 31-Jan-24 08:30:02

Morning from a cooler, grey S Hampshire, no beach walk yesterday, too cold, hopefully today.
But I did get out for a local walk and later wafted a duster about before the vacuum had an outing.
Enjoy your break Pantglas, we too have a carvery discount Monk and we’ll use it tonight.
