More media wind ups, it makes me frustrated.

The likelihood of all GenX or boomer people having the same traits, outlook and behaviour is the same as all Leo or Virgo people having the same traits, outlook and behaviour.

It's all a load of nonsense created for marketing and now being used to divide a wedge between generations. It suits the media and government to encourage us to focus on those fake differences rather than the actual issues facing the country (and who is to blame for them) right now.

I tend to catch JV when tidying the bedroom/making the bed. I have never got through his programme, but I find it a useful way to exercise my voice by shouting loudly at the screen whenever he opens his mouth. The prancing about with graphics and excruciating mimicry is pathetic and he has no control whatsoever over his very excitable guests, many of whom constantly shriek and talk over other panelists. As soon as his bicycle is mentioned the remote control is stabbed vigorously. I think a fair assessment is that whatever JV thinks/believes is the opposite of any thoughts that I might have on the subject.

After my morning performance , despite being born in the 1940s I can definitely not identify as a member of the silent generation.

Vine is loathsome. His views permeate his radio 2 phone in. He patronises anyone daft enough to
Phone in.

I had never heard the term before.
It seems to be a big cusp, I must say.

I thought it was more related to astrology eg being on the cusp of two star signs.

Jeremy Vine doesn't figure in my viewing of listening schedules. I can think of better - more enjoyable - things to do with what time is left to me.
My generation doesn't seem to be alphabetized since I was born during WW2. I'm not sure where my DSs (1970s) or my DGC (from 1991 - 2008) belong. I wouldn't want to categorise any of them as work-shy, since they all found part-time work for themselves while still at school or Uni and not one of them has been unemployed since. You can tell how proud I am of them.

That's the graph I showed upthread. I'm a Jones and my children are Millenials. I'm not sure that any of us fit the stereotypes at all.

I’ve just found out there is our own website for Jones’ - I didn’t even know I was one until I looked just now, so I’m not sure what the stereotype is yet, will have to have a look. My children are split generations, one is a millennial, the other a Generation Z - maybe that’s why they are so different - or maybe not.

I don't mind listening to Vine's interviews. I find he probes and listens quite well.

1963. Not a home owner. I went to university . Travelled and lived abroad a bit. I give to charity when I can. I am in paid work and probably won't be able to retire - and have always volunteered quite a bit too. Love young people and our children now in 20s have always worked very very hard and yet have no prospect of home ownership or decent savings, despite being very careful with money. We have spent many years caring for elderly relatives too. We worry most about today's youngsters and our own children and grandchildren. The world has changed and it's tougher in my humble opinion.

JV does interviews in the main, doesn’t he? Oh yes, he does ramble on and about the perils of cycling in London. And, the show has spawned the lovely Storm, who I expect is eternally grateful to him.

Cant stand Vine ,bring back Matthew Wright I say or even hand the show to Alexis Conran .I rarely watch it now as his "opinions" which he's not supposed to have ,but does,irritate the life out of me .Horrible man who has no idea on ordinary life.....guess thats why he nips about on his unicycle ,shows how superior he THINKS he is !
