Quilt covers advice, please.

What is the best, most comfortable material to have, please?

I have a quilt cover on at the moment that seems to smell of feet after a day or too!

I have no idea why, so can only assume it's the material.

It needs to go!!!

Re the coverless duvets, can I ask anyone who has one, did you wash before first use? I’ve just got an all cotton one, haven’t used it yet. I usually wash sheets etc before first use but wondering whether to bother with the coverless duvet?
