I’ve just come in from the garden, had a good day getting things done now that it’s eventually dried out. It’ll be a quick chicken stir fry for dinner tonight as we’re both a bit tired after the DGC staying the last couple of nights.

Good afternoon kitcheners. Ladyleftfieldlover 60 jars is a lot of honey! The temperature here was pleasant - low 20s. It has been quite windy though.
A full two hours in the park this morning, running and climbing. Both boys had fun and I tired them out, so it was a peaceful afternoon. Dgs2 napped and dgs1 watched tv and played his Nintendo. Then he and I went into the garden. Dgs2 joined us for a while after his nap.
They are home and I have tidied up and hoovered. I'm waiting for my oven chips to cook and then I'll eat.i hope you all have a good evening

Urms, I don't often post on here but just have to say how pleased I am to read the great news re Urms and Himself which I read with tears in my eyes. I have followed your journey together and so pleased with the outcome of your recent hospital visit. God bless you both and enjoy the time you spend in your happy place, it will do you both the world of good.

Good evening Kitcheners. What a lovely day it has been here in Central Scotland. A morning visit to the dentist for him to stick my crown back in. How long it will stay in is debatable. We decided to make the most of the good weather and DH drove to Caulders Garden Centre at Kinross for lunch. I had the best baked potato I have had for ages with a Paradise chicken filling, DH had a Mexican toastie which he said was very nice. After lunch we went for a walk around part of Loch Leven which was lovely . Another good day forecast tomorrow not the heatwave of down south but loads warm enough for me. Are you still on cloud nine Urms?

Scapal Toasties and jacket potatoes. Food of the gods, in my opinion.

Mr Soop had a minor prang in the car yesterday. He backed, albeit slowly, into a wee pole. The rear light is smashed. He is angry with himself. He has hospital appointments to attend in Glasgow. This means a journey on the bus and a taxi ride.

I have to give bloods this afternoon. Mr S has to have the dressing on his scalp changed. after which, we travel to the garage in Campbeltown to book the car in for a repair.

Urms BRILLLIANT news! We Kitcheners are truly delighted for your dear husband and you. I shall raise a wee dram in your honour this evening. Enjoy Spain! You both deserve the happiest of holidays.

I'm sending love to all you lovely lot. I have to leave for the surgery in a few minutes. I haven't had time to fully play catch up. Par for the course, methinks.

Evening Kitcheners. I have had a lovely, peaceful and busy day today. What a difference nice weather makes! The car was at the garage for a service which was slightly expensive but things needed done. I've hung out three washings and ironed them, washed floors, cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen and swept the paths and drive. I have discovered I have a poisoned thumb, from where I do not know. It was gouping all yesterday and is slightly horrible looking. I will keep an eye on it. Tesco delivered earlier, so the fridge and the cupboards are full. I'm back watching the Olympics. Have a good evening

Good grief Grandmabatty you shame me. Washing, kitchen and cloakroom floors washed, then fridge wiped down inside. It was 20 by 9am, so after feeding our grandson, lunch this time( 11 year olds don’t stop munching do they?) I was done.
Said grandson and I watched the Olympics, bmx and shooting, his Mum and Imogen returned about four, hot and tired, but happy.
Salad with chicken tonight, easy.

Grandmabatty I’m exhausted just reading your list of achievements today! I have done a bit of dusting, a quick shop and quite a lot of sitting in the sun, and even more watching the Olympics! My excuse is that it’s been quite hot here - about 26 degrees I think! Tomorrow I’m looking after Dgd3, aged 6 so will no doubt be even more exhausted!b

Hi kitchen pals, Ive had a really lovely day, the suns been shining and I’ve been sitting in a friends garden with lots of other ladies that I used to see at the gym. We all brought a plate of something to eat so there was lots of lovely food to enjoy, I steered clear of the wine though and stuck to coffee 😇

I have to agree with you Jax our 10yr old grandson is the same and is always hungry - hollow legs definitely

Evening everyone. Can I as a lurker join in to share my day?

We have been a drive up to the Flamborough area. It’s about 45 minutes drive from our home away from home. I haven’t been to this part of the coast before ( only lived here 39 years)
The sun was out and the scenery was stunning what have I been missing…. We had a coffee break at Flamborough head and then on to North Landing. NL was just as stunning - beautiful blue clear water,lots of families enjoying the holidays just perfect. DH trekked halfway back up the path to get crab sandwiches for lunch but they had just sold out. We stopped off at a chippy nearby who did home made crab cakes. They were delicious. We also stopped off at a farm shop on the way home but it had closed 10 minutes prior. I did manage to get up close to 2 beautiful donkeys there. I love donkeys.

It’s been a lovely day out but was spoilt slightly getting
a message from my Drs surgery on our return home. My recent blood test showed up as pre diabetic 😬. Oh well time to knuckle down and get myself fit. I had this last year and got the readings down so back to the drawing board.
