It's that time of year again - and the launch of our Best reads for Christmas. Over £500 of fantastic books, fiction and non-fiction, great gift ideas for family and friends (and yourself - goes without saying)

Aaaaand - one very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page. To enter simply tell us what's on your Christmas wish list (it can be absolutely anything)

We will be picking a winner at random on 14 December - more details on the page

Me, too, baubles.
My musical family would be amazed to hear me sing in tune. I always say the tune is okay in my head, it just doesn't reach my mouth.

I would love good health for my family.
I wish for worldwide peace.
I wish animal cruelty to end.

Our family Labrador not to need stitches tomorrow would be Christmas come early for me, as I'm not keen on him having an anaesthetic at the grand old age of 13 1/2 as apparently although the risks are low, they are 7 times higher for a dog over 12. We got him a lovely jacket to wear in the cold weather (three attempts to find one he liked that fitted!), as he hates to come indoors and much prefers his lovely kennel with carpets and padding and the jacket cut into his chest - something the vet had only seen once before. It was abrasions, but after he started on antibiotics the skin broke into a cut.

I haven't really got a wish list this year - must be getting old! Does this indicate I have everything I want? My wish list is usually made up of things I need not want and I can't think of anything I need. I've just had my garden 'done' and am thinking I might like a bird bath so I can watch the birds. I also wish for good health for myself and my family.

Top of my wishlist this year is a Panasonic Breadmaker - just out of my price range at the moment though

I am hoping for a lovely Cruise in the Spring and for now a new watch would be great

I want some vouchers for spa days or afternoon tea. At my age I don't need "things" but love experiences

Angella Tue 06-Dec-16 09:47:37

I'd like a better year than last year. Too many horrible things going on. Also would like my family to be closer together instead of miles apart

Twempy Tue 06-Dec-16 09:48:19

Love nice bottle of malt whisky

Otter105 Tue 06-Dec-16 12:00:15

Good health and lots of happy smiling faces over the Christmas break

mec Tue 06-Dec-16 13:29:10

I'd like something small and sparkly - but failing that I'd settle for a new pair of slippers!

SusanCh Tue 06-Dec-16 14:10:03

If I could have anything that I want, my dearest wish is to have what so many others have - I want to be a grandma. But that is not for me to decide or to interfere with.
So for this year, I'll be happy with the company of my family (and a pair of diamond earrings would be nice).

lemonlux Tue 06-Dec-16 14:12:10

i would love solo wireless beat headphones for xmas

GrandmaEvie Tue 06-Dec-16 14:16:44

I would love more vitality so I can do many more wonderful things with my amazing grandchildren. Oh and time to read more frequently.

Yorkshiregel Tue 06-Dec-16 14:35:56

I have asked for a tree lopper. I need to get my trees trimmed before they get too big to handle.

Something else I would like is to find Pierce Brosnon or Thomas Hiddleston in my Christmas stocking.

mollymockford Tue 06-Dec-16 14:42:06

Chocolates!

bikerbill Tue 06-Dec-16 18:59:25

I am pinning my hopes on getting an iPad this year but if not I would be happy with the book and CD I can usually expect

carol21 Tue 06-Dec-16 21:14:02

Health and happiness for my family and friends. I'd also love some chocolate ?.
