I'd love some new pyjamas & some Lush bath bombs for Christmas - I'm easily pleased now!

after my friends car got side swiped by an artic wagon which then just carried on going I would love a dash cam, she was helped by a following motorist who recorded the incident and then pulled alongside her to tell her he had the footage and said "follow me", he chased after the wagon to talk to the driver who for nearly 4 miles refused to stop - all the conversation was being recorded on the dash cam - eventually this knight in shining armour saw a police car up ahead, drove up to it and got there attention, they pulled over and then went after the wagon and stopped it. The driver refused to give his details but the wagon was from a large well known company, my friend rang them and then they came back with they had watched the footage from the. wagon's dash cam and were confident he hadn't done anything wrong. It was only when she said a third party who was following had footage that they changed their tune.
I never thought I needed one before but this incident has certainly made me change my mind

I would just love a trip on the orient express from london to venice - on my christmas trip - it has been a long-held dream for me ever since an aunt bought me a copy of 'murder on the orient express' when I was young.

As well - I keep asking santa for Colin Firth - and every christmas morning I wake up hoping he'll be at the bottom of the bed - to be greeted with massive disappointment!!11!

Looking forward to a few weeks off spent with the family. But if I could wish for anything I would like a new bathroom!

All I want for Christmas is for it to go smoothly this year. Last year was a disaster. I want everyone to be well and really enjoy the day, and of course, lots and lots of chocolate for me!

I am dreaming of a white Christmas just like the song

I would really, really like a new laptop for Christmas, because mine's on the blink and I can't afford to replace it. Apart from using it to access the smashing gransnet site, I watch
i-player on it as I don't have a TV. sad

I'd be so happy to have lots of books, though, I'd make good use of them, I really would, as I'm a truly dedicated 'reader'!

Happy Christmas everyone grin

Never had a daughter so have huge pleasure shopping for Christmas gifts for daughter in law but my great joy has been giving my elder son a surprise gift and seeing his face when he received it last week so the next great Christmas joy will be watching 4 year old granddaughter diving into her Santa Sack on that special morning!?

Craftycariad69 Thu 08-Dec-16 07:16:06

Just one thing on my SANTA list this year. A lovely firepit for my garden. I can then wrap up warm with a hot cuppa and read some fabulous books. Bliss

For me good health is my important Christmas wish as I had breast cancer 7 years ago and I am always uneasy about its possible return.

Good wishes to everyone for a healthy 2017.

To have repaired the family split that forces those trying to keep a foot in both camps from walking on eggshells at times. Best wishes to all on Gransnet and those behind the scenes.

No Christmas list really and have only just had my birthday. Vouchers or cash to spend on my hobbies over the year would be welcome.

Only one thing I wish for, that my lovely daughter will be well enough to come over from Australia in the Summer with my son-in-law and three grandchildren. I miss them so much.

HannahI15 Thu 08-Dec-16 18:46:32

I'd love some more running gear, especially some new trainers!

I would like a Christmas with my 3yr old grandson not having to go to hospital that would be a first for us

milliemoon1 Thu 08-Dec-16 20:57:11

Some nice chocolate

Playermojo007 Thu 08-Dec-16 22:41:14

Last Christmas my father took ill with pancreatic cancer so did his brother and 2 sisters. We have had an horrendous time. All I want is to get my dad home out of hospital so we can give him his best last Christmas ever. I want us all to get through the day without tears and my mum to be reunited with the only love in her life. I do not go out partying or anything but I do love reading. It sounds a lame answer me wanting books but I love reading and do a lot of it whilst sitting about in different wards or day units of the hospital. This isn't me asking to win the price really it's me sending out a wish and a prayer that this will be our happiest Xmas day ever . I know I have a lot of tears ahead of me but trying to not think about it and lose my thoughts inside my books.

aeschylus1 Fri 09-Dec-16 12:24:27

Well I'd say that large box of Quality Strret (or something similar)!!

psg1968 Fri 09-Dec-16 16:13:28

I would love a kitchenaid food mixer in red (but would never justify asking for it lol)
Cookbooks are on this years list smile

mikey23 Sat 10-Dec-16 00:01:53

socks - some warm, some woolly, some plain, some patterned and definitely some multi-coloured ones...but most of all for someone to explain how come all socks wear out at the same time?!

Lots of books is what I always wish for but also my vain wish is that they can find a cure for cancer, I have met some lovely brave people over the last few years and I have learned that cancer is more treatable than ever but we still need a cure. Vain hope I know it. My other wish is that my little dgd gets all on her pressy list without bankrupting mum and dad lol

To spend time together as a family, making memories.
