Alice in wonderland. I thought it would be a wonderful adventure to go down a rabbit hole.

The Ugly Duckling would have to be my pick too !

Probably red riding hood. I loved the repetition of 'what big eyes you have grandma' 'what big ears you have grandma' etc followed by the answers :all the better to see you with my drar'etc building up to the big reveal. It always thrilled me. And of course the happy ending when all is well.

Rapunzel...because I had long hair and always thought I would love to grow it long enough for a handsome prince to climb!

The magic faraway tree. Enid Blyton’s severely underrated books need to be re-introduced to children both young and old.

Hansel and Gretel. It was so dark compared to other stories it almost scared me.

nabob Mon 30-Sept-19 17:30:54

Jack and the Beanstalk was my favourite because I always liked the idea that you could climb up and live up high.

valbuk Mon 30-Sept-19 17:35:12

For me it was Goldilocks and the three bears. I loved joining in with the repetition. Goldilocks always seemed rather daring and naughty. I loved the bear family and though I knew that she did not respect their privacy and property secretly I would have loved to have a peep round their house too

Three Little Pigs, as used to love the phrase "I'll huff and I'll puff till I blow your house down"

Nandalot Mon 30-Sept-19 19:00:37
