Sorry, I must be a terrible person but this news started my day with a smile. ???

I am appalled by some of the comments on here which reflect badly on those who make them. How about a little humanity? It is a horrible disease and a horrible way to die, which Trump could do even with the best treatment in the world. As to him being president isn’t that for the American people to decide?

Luckygirl Fri 02-Oct-20 08:34:13

Trump is a man beyond contempt.

If he really does have the virus, then he will use it to his advantage - if he recovers.

If he recovers (or is simply lying), then he will use it to his advantage.

It is a win-win for this despicable man.

You may not agree with his politics but to smile about a man, in his 70s, getting this awful virus says a lot about you.

Or him.

JenniferEccles Fri 02-Oct-20 08:40:29

How very predictable to see so many nasty comments on here.

No matter how much you dislike him both Trump and his wife are ill, and to come on here rejoicing at the news is just awful.

suziewoozie Fri 02-Oct-20 08:41:18

I have no humanity towards Trump at all. I think he’s dangerous and evil.

suziewoozie Fri 02-Oct-20 08:41:53

JE ?.

the doctors said I was the best they’d ever seen at beating the virus, nobody knows more about the virus than me, they said I was a tremendous patient”.

I did have to laugh at this lucca

My thoughts go out to Melania.

Two weeks will seem like a lifetime isolating with your husband. Hope you have lots of jigsaws and colouring books to keep him occupied.

LauraNorder Fri 02-Oct-20 08:49:53

Sorry but I can’t bring myself to care.

anna7 Fri 02-Oct-20 08:51:16

Well I'm another who thinks it's terrible to be pleased that anyone has this terrible virus What's with the halo emoji? If that's sneering, sneer away.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 02-Oct-20 08:54:11

Unfortunately it is emerging that he was in a room over several days in the Whitehouse with multiple aids and advisors leading up to the Election Debate.

Many more people could be infected, they and their families have been put at risk.

Appalled at some of the comments on here. What a vicious bunch some of you are. This is a human life regardless of politics.

Elegran Fri 02-Oct-20 09:01:31

Unfortunately he could attract sympathy votes, but perhaps he will use it as a believable reason to leave the Presidency to others? He has discovered that it isn't as much fun being POTUS as he had expected.

It was the same over Boris' illness.

Missfoodlove Fri 02-Oct-20 09:15:01

So if you don’t agree with someone’s politics they deserve to get an illness that could kill them.
What horrible people some of you are.

As an American citizen, I posted my absentee ballot yesterday, hoping that it will be counting despite Trump’s efforts to question the procedure.

I must confess that having seen the train crash of a debate, my immediate reaction upon hearing that he and Flotus have tested positive is that it is is fake news and damage limitation.

It is difficult to trust anything this man says. I agree with those who have pointed out that it will all be used to his advantage. An excellent way of inspiring sympathy and admiration amongst his undecided possible followers. A winner perhaps after all.....

Clairefontaine Fri 02-Oct-20 09:16:45

“counted”

Gwyneth Fri 02-Oct-20 09:16:48

Yes Sparklefizz it was the same. What is very worrying is the callous disregard for human life, a lack of any kindness and empathy and the influence this may have on the younger generation particularly grandchildren.

craftyone Fri 02-Oct-20 09:20:44

yes, some horrible inhumane people on here

Bathsheba Fri 02-Oct-20 09:25:40

craftyone

yes, some horrible inhumane people on here

It seems to me a natural response to a horrible inhumane person.

Hetty58 Fri 02-Oct-20 09:35:10

Esspee, yes, I smiled too. (I must be a horrible inhumane person.) Good news for once!

I then wondered what his chances are, being male, 74 and obese - did a best guess too!

suziewoozie Fri 02-Oct-20 09:36:31

But of course the fact that he chose the next SC Justice knowing she would support the abolition of the ACA, support raped girls being forced to give birth and worn forced to carry to term foetuses with FFA and rule in his favour when he takes the contested election result ( if he loses) to the SC is absolutely fine and dandy isn’t it? His rubbishing of military families and the military killed on active service, his describing McCain as a loser because he was a POW, his successful attempts to avoid the draft himself, his treatment of women ..... yep let’s praise the Lord for DT and long may his evil continue. PS he hasn’t got it.

Hetty58 Fri 02-Oct-20 09:37:29

Missfoodlove, it's not about disagreement over politics - it's about recognising an enemy!

ElaineI Fri 02-Oct-20 09:41:33

I'm sorry he's got it if it's true but I'm with Whitewavemark2!

Kate1949 Fri 02-Oct-20 09:42:20

I agree with your post suziewoozie.
