Has anyone experience the lates round of Covid? I came home from Greece on Monday and here I am. Feel dreadful. Anyone else experienced the most recent strain?

Does anyone know how they caught it? I’m still avoiding supermarkets, buses, trains crowded places etc but going into small shops and outdoor places. I so want to lead a normal life again but am so scared of catching it.

I had Covid symptoms in early August - but no loss of sense of taste or smell .
I felt dreadful for about three weeks to a month .
It was hard to keep food down . I kidded myself that I was on a diet !
Then totally washed out .
And now for about six weeks I have whooping cough and when I'm not coughing - I'm having violent migraines .
The fatigue is so bad that I can only do one thing a day .
Tomorrow , I have to do a mini shop .When I return I'll dive for the sofa .
I actually feel constantly on the verge of tears .
I don't want to go out . I'm dreading Christmas dinner .

The only treatment :
rest , sleep , fluids , vitamin C plus zinc , fresh chicken soup and echinacea plus paracetamol .

In September this year I was taken ill and spent a week in intensive care where I caught Covid. Never had it before. It was a routine test before transferring me to a medical ward and it was positive. I was put in a side room in isolation. I lost my sense of taste and smell and had a very dry mouth. No other symptoms. But even now things don’t taste the same.

Collodial Silver & vit C Sorted me out in 4 days
Ghastly 4 days tho

I’ve got a bottle of colloidal silver but have never known how to take it.

It doesn’t look promising.

We both have Covid here, and it’s our first time too. DH is CEV so the first day really triggered his illnesses … but now he’s on 3 types of rescue meds and plodding along ok. I am soooo grateful!

I’m the one with the cough and I’ve had to quadruple my inhalers to help. We’re just flatly tired.
We did go out in the car today to sit in it and watch birds at a reservoir.
We’re not daytime TV viewers but we’re working our way through iplayer box set of Dodger together.
I’ve got an awful feeling it’ll carry on through xmas.

Last year it was flu, and DH was very ill..

Oh well!

Feeling more normal 2 weeks later. It affects your brain, couldn’t do crosswords or anything but I am now able to do them again. Foul disease.

It’s very variable in effect. I’ve just had it for the first time too, I tested negative today after nearly two weeks. However, I’ve not been ill, just sneezing and painful sinuses, and a bit more tired than usual. I don’t think it’s possible to avoid it, however hard you try it will seek you out.

At the start of the pandemic I bought some from a health food shop I used to go to. I never used it because of dodgy reports I then read about it. Prior to that I knew people that used the spray to treat any cuts their dogs had!

A friend dropped by yesterday who I see once a year. Nothing has ever stopped him going to the pub once he was allowed to do so and he still hasn’t caught it, neither has my ex who continued to work until recently. My DIL had it a few weeks ago but no one else in the family caught it. It’s all so unpredictable.
