Yoginimeisje

So good to hear your GS is home and doing well Babs Enjoy your walk in the sun and glad the viewing went well.

Held a little baby yesterday, a big boy, heavy! very cute, little round cheeks. He is my b.i.l's new baby, b.i.l same age as me, almost 70, but has a young wife and so starting a second family. I thought he had aged since I last saw him, wonder why grin.

Congrats on the new baby, your BiL might need some vitamin supplements to boost his energy levels 😂good luck to both parents 🙏🏾❤️

I think you're right DL. The lower they sink with their nastiness, the more they elevate the EP's on this forum who don't feel the need to demonise all EAC just because we've been estranged.

When there are comments to EP's along the lines of 'you must have done/said something'; 'there are two sides to the story'etc, what these EAC are doing is showing that some are simply nasty and vindictive. They don't need a reason, their 'reasoning' is based on their own failings, so much so that they think it's admirable and acceptable to attack complete strangers on the internet.

Ruby glad you are back with us. Luckily eagle eyed posters noticed the slight changes in people's names. But they will never win as the longevity of thread is testament to that . It's need more than ever. I have been at peace for a year since I decided to give up hope of seeing or hearing from my son . I have nothing to apologise for. My son and daughter in law decided I was disposable and our side of the family. It's my grandsons who will end up suffering from lack of family ties.

Yogin glad you had a wonderful day yesterday. And your son's birthday meal to look forward to. Glad your friend is doing better. I take him next door is behaving himself.

The only time my cakes get sold is the ones I bake for my grandsons Christmas fair. Apparently they go quickly.

Babs glad your grandson is home . Hopefully he will thrive from now on. Fingers and toes crossed for your viewing. Glad I will never go through that again .

Got a load of leaves up in my garden yesterday but after a hour was exhausted. Got a bone scan on Wednesday my daughter is taking as it's 3 buses as it at a different hospital I go to normally. Seeing my neurologists registrar on Friday bet they have never meet anyone like me 🤣 . Hopefully they can help with my leg dam thing doesn't want to work have to flick it forward to move it and my foot has started to turn inwards and pulls my hip. But at least I still get out and about .
Think I have finally done all my Christmas shopping. Need to go through everything today.

Smiles hope you and Mr S are feeling better and have the sunshine .

DiamondLily love the thought of a living cat scarf .

So this the earliest we have been back from a morning walk, that extra hour in the morning meant we set off earlier than normal, beautiful weather out there , stopped for coffee in the park -and met an old friend we hadn’t seen for ages, he lost his son to cancer several years ago and threw himself into fundraising for cancer research, is divorced but we’re glad to hear he is engaged at 69 and promptly invited us to the wedding! Really good news. He is dropping by this aft with his fiancé to introduce us. Haven’t seen him look so happy in a long time.
Thanks Smiles I hope this viewing comes to something but am not banking on it. Onward and upward as they say.
Hope the good news continues today. 🤞❤️

Babs03 Sun 27-Oct-24 10:41:59

Thanks Whiff,
Glad your daughter is taking you for a scan, the weather is lovely at the mo but I know how dire it can be in the North West when the weather suddenly gets wet and chilly, you wouldn’t want to wait around for buses in that weather, the you really would need a cat for a scarf 😂

Bridie22 Sun 27-Oct-24 10:50:17

Whiff you have done ALL your Christmas shopping🤔 what an organised lady you are, I haven't started!
Lovely day here, cold but sunny 🌞🌞

Babs03 Sun 27-Oct-24 12:42:21

@Bridie I always have good intentions at this time of year when it comes to Xmas shopping but invariably end up ordering stuff that may not arrive in time and scooting round shops like a woman possessed. 😂

Bridie22 Sun 27-Oct-24 13:23:26

I know what you mean Babs, last year I was so unorganised my sisters Xmas present became her birthday one 🎅

Whiff Sun 27-Oct-24 14:06:04

Yes a quick show what I did at craft group. Took nearly 2 hours to do the pumpkin it's a toilet roll tube cut in half and slits cut both sides and wool wrapped round them and then squash and hot glued . The broom did in 10 mins. Got into a tangle with the wool we all did . It was supposed to be multi coloured but lost patience.

Bridie22 Sun 27-Oct-24 14:39:54

Think you have a lot of patience Whiff, just doing arty farty craftwork is beyond me 😂

Babs03 Sun 27-Oct-24 15:31:19

@whiff I probs would have lost patience before you did. Good effort, and pleased to know you are happy with your craft group.
Send pics of anything you create, is lovely to see what others are doing.

Yoga, Ive never heard of someone going pop, what on earth is the matter with her? I can’t see how a 70 yr old has energy for a baby, there must be a huge age gap between the couple. Personally, if I could have given birth to them we just wouldn't work.
Whiff, glad your daughter is taking you to hospital. I am your craft brings you such joy.
DL, those posters getting pleasure from upsetting people have bigger problems than us.

Those are all amazing Whiff, I have no idea how you do it but just keep on doing it.
If I were to choose a favourite would be the Kingfisher because I love birds and the colour on this is superb. That would look lovely on my dining room wall, but equally I love the poppies and seascape.
Can we put in orders for Xmas?
I hope you give these as gifts 🎁

SparklyGrandma Sun 27-Oct-24 19:32:34

DiamondLily that’s an idea, as I said, I haven’t seen one of the banned posts before they were banned, but a new Estrangee might come on this forum and read the unkind words of a banned poster and be hurt badly.

Babs03 your lovely Siamese looks like a strong character lol, and is very pretty. Sorry she is no longer with you.

Have a peaceful week everyone.

Whiff your craft items are lovely. The pumpkin is especially cute.

Smileless2012 Sun 27-Oct-24 19:47:08

Maybe not the names they're using Sparkly but you can often tell by the content of their posts that they're not new to GN and are simply posting under a different name.

It's trying to disrupt the support that's available here that's what they want but they'll fail because they always do.

SparklyGrandma Sun 27-Oct-24 20:43:00

Ah, Smileless. Point taken.

Babs03 Mon 28-Oct-24 07:07:29

Good morning all!
I remember when DH and I were working we would say before leaving ‘another day at the coal face’. Is nice now to sit in bed with a cuppa doing wordle and quordle before getting up, especially with darker mornings on the way and darker evenings already here.
Thoughts with those presently on their way to another day at the coal face. Do not miss it these days.
Take care xx

Yoginimeisje Mon 28-Oct-24 07:57:08

Thank you Smiles My friend is still in hospital, haven't 'spoken' today though. Just been sooo busy this last 5 days, like the Xmas rush of activities, still trying to find time to cut Joey's hair, cut his fringe so he can see and we can see his beautiful big eyes, did same for GD yesterday evening hmm

Well, spoke too soon re; dickhead next door. He has now somehow managed to get his van, width wise, on his drive, so that his car can stay over mine angry. Yet to see if this is permenant.

Yoginimeisje Mon 28-Oct-24 08:14:28

Lovely X-stitch Whiff

Allsorts we thought the 'pop' was her new hip coming out, it's quite common a few days after the op. It had actually just slipped out of place a bit, causing her a lot of pain and unable to walk. Last she said was that they were trying to get her up to walk, doesn't sound right. I'll get an update later.

Yoginimeisje Mon 28-Oct-24 08:44:32

Yes Allsorts big age difference! Did you see the infamous interview clip of Debbie McGee, married to the famous magician; So, tell me Debbie, what attracted you to Millionaire Paul Daniel grin

Just heard from my friend, she is back home, had a CTscan, but they didn't tell her the results! she did ask. Physio got her up on her feet and then sent home. She's fine, little pain, can walk now. Seeing her for lunch at hers on Saturday, I said same as last week A, but can we please not end in the same way; A&E shock

Babs03 Mon 28-Oct-24 10:46:52

@Yogi
I imagine the CT results will go to your friends doc. That happened with me when I had one. Good to hear she is ok again.
So does the dickhead now park his car on your side??
🤔

Yoginimeisje Tue 29-Oct-24 08:05:03

Yes Babs It's looking like this is the way from now on angry. He & his wife are going all out to befriend this young couple hmm. I heard him say thought you might like this; I'll leave it there for you. It was a plastic dustbin, they replied might do, but it's still on dickheads side of the little wall.

My son started his new job yesterday. So today is his second day and the guy he was teamed with was an hour late! Should have started at 5.45, the guy still wasn't there at 6.45, he'd forgotten to set his alarm. I hope my son gets in in time for the theatre this evening angry He won't mention to the guy that he needs to be out at 7pm as it's his birthday today and he is going to the theatre.

Babs03 Tue 29-Oct-24 09:32:50

Morning all.
Sunny here but clouds threaten rain.
Might get out for a bit whilst is dry.
Hospital appointment for OH later so most of the afternoon gone. At least is a Costa in the hosp now so we can get a cuppa whilst we wait, but I do miss the little tea shop run by volunteers, I knew a couple of them and was nice to stop and chat. The tea was lukewarm and in a polystyrene cup but new coffee outlets are so soulless.
@Yogi good luck to your son with his new job and a very happy birthday for today
🎉🎁

SparklyGrandma Tue 29-Oct-24 11:49:56

Morning everyone. Positive thing to do today; looking for a book to read on estrangement. Then repotting 2 houseplants.
