Jalima1108 Fri 11-Jan-19 09:04:37

I've been wondering if you have some Viking DNA , Anniebach - thought I'd say that before you (may) reveal all!

I'm probably wrong

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 09:05:47

Nooooo, I may not be Welsh , if i’m not, who am I , I will have lost me ????????

Katek Fri 11-Jan-19 09:06:30

Open it annie!! Don’t keep us in suspense! I did mine last year and got some interesting results.

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 10:07:48

78%. England,Wales and Northwestern Europe

22%. Ireland and Scotland

Am I Welsh ?

Niobe Fri 11-Jan-19 10:11:20

Of course! If your heart is Welsh so are you.

Katek Fri 11-Jan-19 10:11:59

I would say so......lots of Celtic roots there annie!

MissAdventure Fri 11-Jan-19 10:12:31

You're the most Welsh person I know, Annie. smile

Bridgeit Fri 11-Jan-19 10:14:36

What’s that old saying Annie , ?
If it looks like a dog, barks like a dog then it’s a dog
So I think you can safely say you are Welsh, ( but not a dog! ?)

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 10:21:11

Irish ? Bet some of my Anglesey lot had affairs with the Irish travellers who camped on Anglesey

Squiffy Fri 11-Jan-19 10:22:07

You're definitely Welsh Annie! You're the Welsh equivalent of seaside rock - Wales is imprinted through your body (and soul!) grin

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 10:37:18

? ??????? Cymru am Byth

I thought I would have to remove my request to have the Welsh flag at my funeral

TerriBull Fri 11-Jan-19 10:45:51

I believe the ancient Britons were pushed west into Wales and Cornwall by the Romans, how far back do you want to go Annie? grin Well of course there must have been some tribes in Wales at that time I imagine, to greet them or not! Everyone wandered about for centuries trying to find Utopia, however in your case wander no more cos you know you are living in yours smile

Jalima1108 Fri 11-Jan-19 15:21:20

I'm sure the Vikings visited Anglesey .....

But mostly Welsh smile

Jalima1108 Fri 11-Jan-19 15:22:53

in 903 the Vikings visited Anglesey

cavewoman Fri 11-Jan-19 15:42:22

How exciting Annie. Don't forget to link your tree to your DNA.
Have fun discovering all your new found relatives smile

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 15:49:50

So far, many from South Wales, nothing from Anglesey or Caernarfonshire.

Wicked vikings raping my family ?

TerriBull Fri 11-Jan-19 17:03:30

Yes wicked Vikings! When I visited Denmark I came over all Lily Allen and contemplated, as one does, that on behalf of Britain, maybe I should have demand an apology from them for their disgraceful behaviour in the 9th century, but well I didn't ..........cos the thing is they're ever so nice now grin I can honestly say I didn't see any pillaging anywhere just affable people on the bicycles smile

TerriBull Fri 11-Jan-19 17:04:14

their not the

HildaW Fri 11-Jan-19 17:15:45

Must admit I quite fancy this .......am not interested in looking down the family tree....there are a few nasty people there who I have no wish to learn anything more about....but the dim distant blood line does interest me.

Elegran Fri 11-Jan-19 17:21:46

But, Annie, maybe it was wicked Welshmen raping innocent Viking maidens?

Cherrytree59 Fri 11-Jan-19 17:28:27

Annie we are related!!

You are as Welsh as your beautiful hills and valleys and arias ?

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 17:30:58

Elegran please, I come from quite a long line of Welsh Baptist ministers

And my Anglesey lot were Calvanists

?

And ,The Viking ladies should have stayed at home not coming to Wales and seducing my Male ancestors

Anniebach Fri 11-Jan-19 17:33:26
