New grandchild in 2013?

Ylil that's sad news. Many of us have been in that situation as either parents or grandparents, so we can readily sympathise.

Thanks it was early and they were away from home at the time - she's strong so I feel sure she'll bounce back soon.

I had two, one early one very late, 7 months, so can identify with her.

Many more babies still to come during the next few weeks; there are six more GN babies due before the end of February. Mishap and Bags, I think you're on next, followed by Pollyann, me, and then Kazgran and NannaAnna both due on the 21st February.

Ylil I'm so sorry to bear that sad news. Like others, we've had our share of early miscarriages in my family. I had one at 9 weeks, and thought I would only ever have my one child. Happily, a year later I had my next son, swiftly followed by twin daughters. You never forget the one that was lost, though.

I shall look forward to welcoming all the new babies

Joining in late as ever... My son's baby was born 6 weeks ago. My gorgeous grandson (our first) came out of hospital on Christmas Eve and spent the evening with us and the rest of the family. And in the course of this my daughter announced that she's expecting in July! We had such a special Christmas and we're all so excited. It'll be great to have the two little cousins growing up together.

activist daughter is at the GP surgery right now as she's feeling ill. She's not a complainer so I'm hoping her doctor takes her concerns seriously.............oh dear, phone just rang; daughter is on her way to hospital with what sounds like pre-eclampsia!
I'm off to the hospital again..........!

Ga hope your daughter is ok - she will be glad to have you there. You made me feel better, yesterday, about my daughter's hiccup, hope that a hiccup is all this is.

Still not heard from my daughter after her hospital visit today. So I don't know whether to worry or imagine she's out shopping because all is ok!

Congratulations everyone! My son and DIL's first child and our first GC is due in May. They found out very early about the pregnancy, my son described the 1st scan as a bean with a heartbeat. They don't want to know the sex of the baby, but thought they saw testicles on the latest scan!
They're keeping the proposed names quiet as my husband pulled his face at some they were thinking about. Nothing to do with us. A name is so personal to the parents and I will love it whatever.
