Just found this interesting thread. Shysal, I hope the GS is comfortable but what a pain for him to be in plaster for six weeks.
Bumblebee i gather you need to keep walking to help your mobility. Sorry that you are in pain but admire your sense of humour.
Your little dog looks lovely. My lovely cross breed had to be put down at 17. It broke my heart. Well shortly after that I did have a heart attack. I didn't meet any of the criteria for having one, it just happened. I wouldn't want to go through that sorrow again but love hearing about other people's dogs and other pets.
I spent part of this morning with a friend who is doing fundraising for Guide Dogs. The couple were given a small puppy and are involved in her training. She is now 7 months and I met her for the first time today at the local garden centre where the fundraising was taking place. My friend has to take her on the bus and on a train every week and go on training days. It's very time consuming and quite a strict project but the couple are enjoying it greatly. The dog was very lively and friendly when I met her today and if she does turn out to have a very friendly and lively nature she will be placed with a normally sighted family. Only one in three actually makes it. So that was my morning and im now sitting with the patio door open listening to birdsong in the garden. Bliss. Nice to meet you Bumblebee, and good wishes to Sal's GS and the lovely Georgie. Jud, who chose the name ? Just curious.
