How did you choose your username?

I got very grumpy when picking my name and everyone was rejected, so picked Mildred because my granny was Milly, when I thought about it she was probably Millicent.

I used to be a telephone operator in the dim and distant past, so I was originally numberplease. Then there was what Soop calls a buggeration and I couldn`t get onto Gransnet for a few days, so rejoined under a new name, another name for a telephonist.

I thought Coolgran sounded funky and I was 65 when I joined. Now 68.

I come from Norfik, so it seemed apt. I'm making no comment about my shape.

I am new here although I have posted once on the anti histamine thread. I thought of Hope because I do hope alot of things every day. Hope was taken so I doubled it up . Now I wish I had given igt more thought, anyway Hope it is.

I was 64 at the time I joined gransnet. I loved the Beatles song and as a young woman, couldn't imagine ever being 64.

Such a lot of interesting answers. Thank you everyone. It's a shame we can't change our usernames because I'd change mine. At least it is anonymous which is useful but it isn't as colourful as some names which give a sense of the person behind the name. I think the 09 was when I joined. I did a lot of lurking before I dared post!

Lily jingle was banned from GN last year but I follow her on another social media platform. She has another name, posts are lovely and she is fine.

I choose this because GD calls me nan and every one else calls me Bb.....Even though my name is Bernadette !!!!

This morning I wore a long sleeved black T shirt and black trousers for work. My husband said it was 'very 60s'. So all day I was Emma Peel from The Advengers in a black catsuit. So I had to chose her as my username.

Is it possible to change ones username , if so how? Mine is initials plus house number .

They all get collected in a poly bag at the bottom of the washing basket Greyduster then get washed all together about once a year!

Mine is my initials and the year I was born. So unoriginal !!!

Or you could just de-register and join again with a new username.

They don't seem to mind people doing that, unless of course they've been banned!
